I removed the battery and put it back in and it went thru, it said installation successful, press X to shut down...but after I turn it on again I'm back to the same screen....WTF?

Hey Man I need help, my PSP was modded by a friend and it was working fine but now i got the screen that says

- Press X to install 3.80M33.

- Press O to install original 3.80

- Press [] to dump nand to nand-dump.bin. When done, psp will auto shutdown.

- Press L+R+HOME+start to restore nand from nand-dump.bin

What to do???

If it has M33, its custom firmware, if it doesnt, its not.

You must have updated to the OFFICIAL 5.02,

Now get a pandora battery, or you wont be able to install CFW.

It says "The game could not be started. Putting CFW on a PSP Slim and Lite is easy as hell. It took about 5 minutes to get my Felecia Blue to 3.90M33-2 as compared to 30 - 40 minutes downgrading my Phat to 1.50 and then bringing it all the way up.

You *need* it, believe me. It's the only way to get it to boot into service mode. Get a utility called UltraPandora v2. It can make a Pandora Battery and change it back to a regular battery at will. It will also format and configure your memory stick for downgrading.

No, you don't need two batteries, but you do need to make sure it's a SONY battery.

When you want to change it back to a regular battery, boot the PSP with the AC and without the battery, put the battery back in and run Ultrapandora again. Choose the option to reconvert the battery back to a regular one and viola!

You need a pandora battery and a magic memory to downgrade a PSP slim. If you do not have any relatives that have a homebrew enabled PSP, just buy a Pandora Kit from finchmall com and save all that hassel!

Not all the time, some times it only semi bricks. then you can downgrade back to 1.50 using the flash o drive, but if you cant access recovery mode, its time for pandoras' battery. :(
