wish I had a place to get produce like that, best place in my town is walmart.... no local stuff, have to drive 2 hours to get to a whole foods and then its too expensive
@dmbfan07cb Yeah. I know how you feel.. .that is just how my life used to be. So we created a co-op and now work with an organic distributor and local farmers to bring this to our community. We needed healthy food in our town!
Hi, I love this, I have a question though. I have a 5 year old. I know you have children, you mentioned them. How do you feed the kids? Do they also drink the green drinks?
@kspringford1 I feed my kids the same way I eat. They drink green juice with ease. They also drink a green smoothie most days of the week for breakfast and sometimes I pack them another green smoothie for school. It's been years now and just yesterday our breakfast was a huge salad....which sounds weird, but that's just how we are sometimes. My kids do eat "junk food" when they are hanging over at their friends house and I don't freak about it. I just do my best.
Your energy is so cute and refreshing! A special word on coconut water - drink it right after you open int. It goes rancid fast. Don't store it, crack them and drink it right away to get the best benefits.
LOL at the half eaten desert for the potluck, this made my night. I love it. I am glad to see others eating real, raw, organic fresh foods. Get your juice on! Lovely tomatoes. Do you shop your local farmer's market? csa? that's even fresher/better than co op but co ops are great to support.
yes..the pie is uh-maz-ing!! I posted a video on the recipe (raw vegan banana coconut cream pie) or something like that. It's one of my most viewed vids...check it out!
I belong to a co-op so I buy my produce one a week. It is a bit too much, but I end up juicing everything before it goes bad. Being raw means almost my entire diet is from fruit and veggies.
I actually do not have a say in what I receive. I order 2 shares of organic produce and I pick them up. Every week is a surprise. I started juicing cuz there is no way my kids and I can eat all this before it goes bad. I hate to toss stuff out. I feed it pureed to my dog first, then whatever is left over goes in the compost bin. I guess it is like recycling since I garden as well. Thank you for watching. :)
I'm watching this and thinking to myself, WHY did I ever leave California??? I so miss the readily available produce year round. Minnesota winters (okay it's only been one so far) kick my butt. NOTHING is available, or rather, what is is yuck and outrageiously expensive. I wanna move back to California! lol
Yeah, sometimes I complain about the bad air and water, but hten I realize we have a year round growing season. I have compassion for those who live in areas with limited options. If it's cold it's harder to go raw...at least for me. I hope I can make it through this winter season.

what's more personal, showing someone your bank account, or your fridge account?

Do you ever just share with your neighbors? That would solve the problem of having too much.
