  • i have seen enough henti to know................

  • 34 got raped by a giant squid

  • The scientist is sort of cute.

  • that would make some good calamari

  • @Fearsomekyle512 well at least the one they said tasted good, thats what the was whole Non-Ammoniacle part was about, lots of bigger squid produce Ammonia that helps their buoyancy in the water, and ammonia is bad to consume for humans at least, hence why theres lots of smaller breeds of squid that are edible and often fished for, they dont produce ammonia and make great Calamri, and yes i love Calamari, lots of people seem disgusted when they learn its Squid, but its damn tasty, and healthy!

  • I wonder if they do that to extraordinary human bodies.

  • Sashimi

  • Great clip Steve!

    Kirk

  • WANT TO EAT!!!!

  • calamari anyone?

  • Soo is it still alive?

  • @mairul34 its dead they kept in the fridge for over a year...

  • @mairul34 "It tasted good, apparently."

  • haha i drove 8 hours to see that at te papa museum it was amazing :)

  • Biggest eyes biggest tentacles.....but not biggest dick.....Because I hold that record LMAO.

  • @narutocursemark

    lol fu

  • thats why x-men hate scientist...

    they will test for experimebt..and...die..

  • poor squid..... :(

  • dude it is wat it is all i know is that I WANT ONE no joke i no its pretty awesome

  • fuck that not going into the ocean.. nope cant make me!!! lol jk

  • tasted good that all that matters lol ahah

  • WOW thats just weird

  • i bet you it got raped by a whale thats why its dead

  • Two words. "Calamari anyone?"

  • I get sick of people going on about how it was "killed" by the scientists. If the squid ever come up into shallow enough waters to get caught or tangled in fishing lines, they're sick or dying anyway. That's why we've never had a live one, for more than about an hour.

I'm from New Zealand, and sometimes we get whales that wash up on the coast with massive scars from where they fight with these things. Sperm Whales especially. It's facinating.

  • it was a giant....r.i.p :P

  • give it a kiss and it will be the last thing you ever do

  • it b funny if it wakes up all pissed off

  • i dont understand the importance of the eyes? whats it matter?

  • @holmzy31 Eyes developed in at least 12 seperate instances in evolution. That alone makes them very interesting, and shows the importance of vision. Squid eyes are very oddly shaped and their is something up with the retina. I'm not sure of the details.

  • its dead?

  • fire up the grill!

  • Now how am I supposed to release the Kraken?

  • o shit if that ting would wake up them boys are dead

  • some squid.theres many more on tv.

  • it's the world championship predicting paul the octopus

  • @LowLowSpinners Your Freaking Brilliant

  • thats a big squid i seen and note what that one scientist said"It's not the largest specmed out there." theres even bigger ones!?!? o.o

  • @mochoman0003 yes there are, some reports said there are squids up to 15 meters long (sorry I dont know how much its that in feets).

  • @sopothetocho Just multiply by three for an indication. So 45 feet.

  • I wonder how big the Aristotle's Lantern was?

  • I wonder how tasty it would be >:D

  • Fake official channel!!!

  • @therandomboy500 its not fake

  • My GOD!

  • Cool, but very frightening.

  • see, these are the videos that make me proud of the human race, i despise the ones that fight and insult, generalize and judge people, races and religions, but damn do i love seeing people trying their best to help another being.... Big ups for scientists with good conscience and goals. (meaning i despise scientists that carry out experiments on human beings and the scientists of the sort)

  • why they kill him? so i will kill u human dude. i dont care. he dont care. he is better life!

  • @BosniaArmin they didnt kill it

  • @BosniaArmin dude the squid was lost in the sea the he was frozen :P get ur faxs straight

  • i thought they meant they tasted this squid Oo

  • it tasted good rofl

  • why is the music so loud

  • mmmmm 1 yr old kalamari

  • giant squids and Octopus'!! <33333 ^_^

  • Eww. Ive seen that at the museum and jeez that squid is huge.

  • Maybe some1 know hows that song playing on the backround is called ? its a great song. i would love to have it

  • someone asked how did they get so big

fish, and most water based orginisms have a unique type of dna, that allows them to endlessly grow, provided t hey have the right conditions ( Ie large amounts of food, etc ). they also do not age like us, allowing them to live hundreds of years, tell either a larger predator eats them, or until sickness kills them.

in theory, as long as he eats, and is not eaten, he will continue to grow, in theory even to the size of the planet.

  • no offense pal, but your a total idiot when it comes to Squid, Squid grow to full size in roughly 2 years, Squid are one of the fastest growing animals on the planet, but most species dont live more than 5 or so years, however since we dont have LIVE Giant Squid to study, we only know what we do from Dead ones, theres much bigger ones out there than that small 1, the largest Giant Squid recorded was dead on a beach and about 72 feet long, w/ tentacles, was in the late 1800s, and no photos

  • this is fking nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It tastes terrible - it's full of ammonia. And, hey guys! it was not killed, but tangled itself up in the longline of a New Zealand fishing vessel when searching for its lunch. This squid -Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni- eats Antarctic toothfish, just like us humans do. It was too greedy. Coming up from around 1500 metres depth it would have died anyway.

  • you talk like you know everything about giant squids but in fact you're just showing off. if you had even watch this video you'd have seen that this squid is indeed tasty since it's non-ammoniacal. as for their eating habits and generally the way they live, most of it it's assumptions since no giant squid has ever been caught alive and studied in it's natural surroundings. there are only dead speciments.

  • Nobody knows all about this species, but, having studied most published and quite a few previously unpublished scientific materials (from NZ, from Soviet Union/Russia and others countries) about this particular species, I would say that my comments should not be too far off. One of the NZ squids was still alive when it came up and the same applies to the Mesonychoteuthis caught in 1981 by a Soviet research vessel.

  • of course they're alive when they come to the surface or being accidentally caught by fishing boats. but they die or they're killed. i said that there was never a living speciment to be studied...

  • i dont think Tiniru1 knows the actual BREED that is the official Giant Squid, that is indeed Architeuthis Dux, i cant remembr the spelling of the last part of the name, but if it doesnt say Architeuthis, its NOT a Giant Squid (at least in terms of Science), they are an official SPECIES that is formally known as Giant Squid

  • how did they get so giant?????

  • wow!! that squid looks delicious let me have it,, i will eat it yum yum hehehehe...

  • At :38 I half expected the thing to suddenly come alive and grab that guy or something lol

  • Seeing the eye in the tank was creepy. It made me think of that scene in the movide Independence Day, where the scientists are preparing to disect the captured alien and it wakes up and starts looking around and attacking everyone.

  • why killing it before examine

and you call your selfs scientests?

    i call you wilds only

  • squids die almosi intasntly when they leave the water

  • because it was caught by fishermen...the scientists didn't go out looking for it, it was caught by mistake...

  • haha, dud its a squid, calm down. and it was already dead when they got it

  • Thats no Giant Squid, thats a Colossal Squid it was on Discovery Channel not to long ago.

  • yea but only the heads are bigger the tenticals are not as large as a giant squids

  • some definitions for ya here....

Giant-unusually large, great, or strong; gigantic; huge

Colossal-extraordinarily great in size, extent, or degree; gigantic; huge

your pretty dumb for a discovery channel veiwer

  • @ms15732850 Dude, you're a fucking dumbass. The Giant Squid is actually called "Giant Squid" The Colossal Squid is actually called a "Colossal Squid". Learn about Squids before you start saying shit is wrong.

  • @ms15732850 Seriously? Dude listen to GreenEvilDemon bitch -_- Just what he said, And now you should fuck off

  • @ms15732850

Ya you did kinda just make yourself look like a dumb ass right there.

  • well it looks pretty giant to me :/

  • @112deepblue and thats not the same squid either, the Colossal Squid that was found alive by that fishing boat in New Zealand was alot bigger

  • Been there, seen it in person. It's awsome and scary.

  • theyve been on ice for a year

  • That's scary! I heard squids have the largest eyes on the planet which is true.

  • sushi?

  • that is a huge 1 man

  • I wouldn't stand so close- might get a disease...

  • wft

  • That'd suck if that thing swam up beside you in the ocean.

  • @tman916x you are right but i fuck your mom every day soo hard i like so much and she tell me MORE MORE DEEP DEEP

  • @tman916x

YEah man youd be cheeeeeze grated to death and then fed through a small hole

  • @tman916x Theres is a reasone its a big deal to see these things that just doesn't happen.

  • @BACKWARDSgameREVIEWS 1000 internetz to you good sir! Every video needs a humorless armchair intellectual such as yourself.

  • @tman916x Yes, I am a British gang banger whom does drive-by insults.

  • mmmm... lunch...

  • cook it niggers

  • environmental surroundings affect their growth, cause they learn to adapt, lmao my lil nerd moment

  • I also want to fuck it. :p

  • dude not bad!!!

  • im sure they know what is false or not man, they know what there talking about, u rtard

  • its so yummy if u cook

  • 32ft damn

  • o_o the people that were touching that squid werent wearing any gloves ..............

  • That's not so big.

  • wow what a mysterious creature that squid is. How fascinating

  • Amazing.

  • oh gross!

    but cool

  • calimari~~~~ =]

  • they are not eating it?

  • They are! they said "It tasted good aparently" and then the end....

  • lol look at this nasty brown water this guy is in.

  • ummm its called ur job and what u have to do also its called taking a shower after.............lmfao

  • scariest thing in the ocean hands down! I would rather see a shark while swimming than that thing

  • If they live so far under water wouldnt it be impossible to ever put one in the aquarium because the pressure change would be too great for the squid to stay alive? Unless they find some way to keep the pressure while tranporting it..

  • for other fish from the depths yes, however because Giant Squid are marginally gelatinous they can dive to incredible depths, but can survive on the surface. they can usually be found around 300-3000 fathoms deep, but dive to over 8000 fathoms deep.

  • that's great critical thinking but I believe they seen them alive in depths less than 100 feet. Those sea mariners from history's past can vouch for that.

But who knows, you're probably right

  • was dead when found - usually they come higher to suface when hurst and thats when the fishboat catched it

  • I wish they we're still alive, so they can be put in big aquariums in Sea World. So everyone can see them, that would be so epic.

  • yes so when thurs annoying people thur we throw them in the tank

  • THURS=? fucking nerds language?

  • no that wouldn't work...they would escape and destroy cities lol

  • Lol yeah =)

  • oh fuck off... did u hear them say they found two squid carcasses.... that mean they were already dead fool

  • its cool that they caught it but they dont need 2 kill it! its a living creature. they can nitpick obama for killing a fly yet they let these people kill and study these creatures for the purpose of science!

  • uhh their already dead they found them in ice ._. which means dead not alive xD

  • calamari FTW!

  • o.......m.......g

  • YAY! I live in NZ!

  • wow its an amazing sea creature

  • Jjaajaajajajajajajjajajajajjajajaja

  • wow

  • what?

  • haha

  • wtf is this dude saying??

  • WTF tad squid has been dead for along time

  • everyone that feels sorry for the squid should eat\cannibalize at least 1 human to make up for the loss ... i'm starting with little baby's ^.^ YUUUUMY

  • ?!?!

  • at 0:42 are the eyes! They were measuring it saying that the colossal squids eyes are the biggest in the world!

    eww & they ate it??

    that's wrong!

  • they ate the smaller specimens..

  • wanna eat mine?

  • is it dead?

  • its not a giant squid it a colossal squid

  • The squid's testicles are at 0:42

  • 1:29 made me really pissed

  • poor squidd. =[

  • I saw a show on Discovery about this. Atleast one of them was already dead/dieing when they found it, not sure about the other.

  • i know this is a dead one

  • at least this video its right but whats the point of capturing an animal that cant survive in those conditions its like torturing him

  • why u dont do the same and kill your mother.. sure its a shit like you,and do something with ur life u fuckin fatass

  • X_X 2 weeks dude

  • let these animals live instead of cathing them and killing them

  • O_O

  • that would be a 1 week for dinner

  • wanna eat that slimy thing? :/

  • its just a joke

no way i gonna eat that thing

    X

    *_*

  • eww it's like cut half O_O but its cool xD

  • this was on the news or some shit

  • wooow in malta (my country) we have dead squid in our museum but its 8 times smaller than that !!

  • I'ts a pity we haven't been able to capture footage of them alive :(

  • I love this! Nature is also part of mylife!!! I'd love to be a scientist

  • yeah thats a collosal squid or collosus whatever...its sure is real...i saw it on tv. they found it in the antartic ocean if im not mistaken.

  • That is pretty frickin' awesome. I would so love to see one of those alive and up close.

Nature is an amazing and mysterious thing.

  • cool

  • wtf lmao how could it be fake faggot it was on t.v and u never heard of collosel squids befour? u should learn how to read and look it up faggot

  • i was fucking joking you CUNT

  • you're the one whose dumb

  • Why would being unable to speak effect your ability to perceive reality or comment accurately on a YouTube video?

You are an idiot, and this is absolutely, 100%, real.

  • this is awsome why don't you go tell those scientists that spent their entire life to nature's and squids study you must be a great expert so hats off to Mr. know it all!!

  • I would not want to be in a tub of water with that thing. The unrealistic thought of it coming back to life and fucking me up is too scary.

  • lmfao, i feel you.

  • It came back to life?

  • Yeah this is real.. I watched it on the discovery channel.
