Like many of the "villains" of Disney lore, I find their existence as a villain debatable. Take Clayton, for example. While I certainly agree that he is an antagonist, I would not say he is a villain. All he wants is the perfect hunt, and without their human personifications, the animals are without conveyed emotion, and it would matter little to the audience to see them eliminated. He is sort of like Judge Claude Frollo, Ratcliffe, and Gaston. Not a villain or evil, but certainly an antagonist.

The main characters are seen as animals.

The sub-main stars are a young girl, an old father, and a masculine jerk.

The girls are the first to see the 'beasts'.

Both fathers are inventors.

The fathers and daughters end up captured by the jerks, and freed by the "beasts'" friends.

Both villians lead a party.

The villian's party and the beast's party have a battle.

Both Villian vs Beast battles are taken on a stormy, dark night.

When the beast and the villian fight, it's a dark thunderstorm, and both have risks to fall to their deaths. In the end the beast wins, the villian dies from a fall, and they end up with the daughter.

Wow... Does anyone else realise how similar these two movies are?

Okay, so, there's a man out in the woods (castle for Beast, but it's in the woods anyway), and no one knew about him. So then this girl finds them accidentaly because they we're seeking something else. The father's don't trust at first, but then accept it. However, there is one insanely masculine jerk with a deep voice who sees nothing good in the 'beasts'.
