While this guy actually looks 17 (unlike Metcalfe), he looks a bit too young and makes the scene somewhat disturbing. Jesse Metcalfe is much better cast because there is more manliness to his character which is something that Gabrielle's character would find attractive in a guy.

I prefer this version. The whole idea of Gabriele's affair with a teenager wasn't based on the fact that he had model like looks but because she was being noticed unlike Carlos who treated her like a prop. Jesse Metcalf looked too old to be a teen.
