  • Matbe I'm slow . . . But for a long while I thought Thad was just a nutjob and was the murderer. There goes my chances of ever being a detective . . .

  • Dammmmm Timothy Hutton was cute when he was young.

  • Hah why is the dark side such a bad ass dude??

  • Here we go, talking about the book again, sigh.

What can i say? He's entitled to his opinion.

  • Wtf? George doesn't kill Doctor Pritchard in the book. Dx

  • the most inadequate and improbable encounters between two people who can hear each other... the bad one does not want to talk to the good one... Of course the bad would want to talk to the good one for one reason ONLY...to overpower him once and for all, including killing him. Ridiculous...

  • Is it me or is that how Timothy Hutton looks right now in real life just like George Starks WOW. He was 33 when he made this movie. He's now 50

  • @MiiSsSlicKumZBayBe

Actually he was 30 when the film was made.

  • Is Stark (the murder) the twin from the beginning of the movie WTF ? XD

  • @RCStrasbourg82 mmhm.

  • The movie is good but i guess it's much smaller and much different from the book. George A. Romero could have done a little better...

  • IT PROVES A POINT, all wankers drink Bourbon in one form or the other and that why the bikers drink the shit.

  • I can't be the only one who tried to toe kick a whiskey bottle off the table and catch it after seeing this movie.

  • I absolutely love the scene where he is in his study. It has something in it that I just can't put my finger on.

  • bad quality fake blood....

  • @black4pienus More like booze blood lol

  • in the book Alan called the doctor while he was on vacation. =) But I see they just did it this way to keep the movie short

  • I never read the book, but I am under the impression that there's some sort of hidden quotation of Nelson Algren's "The Man With the Golden Arm", here. The protagonist of that book is called Frankie Machine, and his buddy is Solomon "Sparrow" Saltskin.

    Could it be?

  • @septicbro

King refers to some other authors that had an influence on him when he was writting the book. It is on the final pages of the book, but I can't remember if that man you say it is mentioned on it.

  • I hate how they used the same actor to portray Thad Beaumont and George Stark. Absolute madness.

  • @FatBabyDinosaur Not when you think about it: they're supposed to be twins, George growing in Thad's brain....

  • aww sweet , how he got the bottle into his hand was soo cool

  • 0:53 The pencil makes a knife sound... haha.

  • It's also called stalking - get off the proxy

  • So sayeth, Dr. Pettridge Farms. Cause Pettridge Farms remembers.

  • wow. This movie is very different from the book.

  • 6.17

    sherlock holmes!! :D

  • lol 5:35-5:40

    It's a disguise!

  • I love that old woman,

  • "There is something about SParrows" :D hehe

  • you gotta ask that to stephen king

  • @babadope Honestly the image of him in this movie is different than the one I got in the book. My vision of the literary George Stark was definitely psychotic, but in a much more relaxed way.

  • Why does everything George Stark do, have to be so violent? LOL.

Stab his hand, break liquor bottles, spit in mirrors, re-open his wounds, drive his car like a maniac, etc... Oh, and of course, murder people the author knows at a seemingly random pace.

  • If George Stark is a real person. He should just write his book. Let Beaumont do the publicity. Then afterwards Let George Stark take over the Novels and stuff.

  • ge's probably too lazy to do that

  • nice RS3L horn at 4:20

  • how'd he get that scar on his face? so ur telling me he had a twin all a long doing the killing? this still doesn't make any sense i mean the beginning i thought he had another personality but i don't know very confuse lol.

  • You have to read the book - seriously. The Shining (movie) didn't make sense to me - the book was great. Probably the same with this. I haven't seen this before, I didn't realize they'd made a movie. The book is really great - and you'll understand what's going on. It's a good read.

  • That wouldn't be supernatural enough 4 King. lol And plus he's making him go into that trance thing, & the sparrows are nutty...so not norm. Interesting, considering most horrors involve crows (ravens too I guess). I think the scar is cuz he's "falling apart" like he said. So yeah a twin risen from the dead by fiction made real. heh

  • I think the scar is the one doctor made at the begining while operating in hospital....

  • gosh @ 6:00 hope they dnt get rid of their 'old friend'. she's way too something to get reddrummed in the movie

  • primal fear was better

  • pRIMAL FEAR IS BY STEPHEN KING?

  • he did that to himself? twisted

  • Dan stabbed his left hand and George stabbed his right hand

  • what is he writing i cant read it

  • funny she's worried about that old car :))

  • automatic handwriting... ever tried it? Very weird what comes out

  • Tim Hutton does both parts

  • can someone tell me ?its def 2 different actors isnt it? but in some camera angles i'd swear it's the same actor tim mathesson ,but made up to look identical but meaner and stronger? in some scenes i think ".no ,definitely differnt people "and then a flash of the camera and i think , "hang on a second, same guy" then i think did mattheson get the job partly as they found a double of him who luckily could also act? adds 2 the dilema as would be a log shot as so similar looking. give proof if ucan

  • why do people who direct these movies allways change it from the book??? It's like they don't even read it...

  • sometimes it wouldn't work out otherwise.

  • i like it too but i noticed a mistake i don't know but i thought so..while he was writing in his office when sparrows where or the window i noticed he hurted hid right hand..meanwhile he was in the doctor's room i noticed that he was with the left arm bandeged..i don't know if i'm right but that's what i saw:)

  • He was writing with his right hand and then took the pencil and stabbed it into his left hand.

In the Doctor's office, he was bandaged on his left hand like he should have been. No errors were made :)

  • wrong, if you were watching it right he stabbed his left hand, his was sitting there mumbling then after he wrote HEAD (he was writing with his right hand) he stabbed his left hand.

  • i like this movie

  • Lol, Rawlie is a cool old lady in this movie. Awesome!

In the book it was an old man.

  • slut

  • They changed too much from the book! But still not a bad flick so far.

  • Stark is the ultimate badass.

  • I really wish i could read his writing. :?

  • I UNDERSTAND NOW!!

  • i don't understand the concept of this film...

  • its really deep, like most of Stephen King's work, u should read the book, it explains it alot better

  • That 1966 Olds Toronado is absolutely bitchin'

  • i would love to have that car

  • "bitchin"....thats a word i haven't heard in a while...

    good choice!!!

...now you've got me in an ol'skool mood... I'm gonna say that i (personally) think the tornado is....."rad"

  • @InSomnisVeritas fuck yeah

  • NO RAWLIE?! NO RAWLIE!?!?!?!

  • I WANT TO SEE RAWLIE!

  • SO DO I FUCKING RAWLIE!

  • Take it like a man!

  • no swearing! lol

  • Stephen King is the best F*** of the rest .

  • Innit

  • @Freyr18 That rhymes. You should write poems about Stephen King and his awesomeness.

  • @cayman144
