Mace727 - you have apparently never met a Basenji. They are VERY clean dogs and generally do not 'stink' at all.

This is NOT howling, it's called "yodeling" because basenji's don't bark. I grew up with these things around the only that not accurate here is the sleeping part...oh, and that they are not chewing the sh#t out of of all your expensive stuff.

@knelz9 I have always heard this. However, My three Basenjis have never chewed anything. I have had all three of them as new pups of 6 weeks or so. Never - any chewing . The most well behaved dogs I have ever had:)
