Hey guys, really liked the vid, its nice to see people share there specs.
I was wondering, what would you say is the best way to quickly access all of your samples. Right now i just put my 30 gb file of samples on my desktop and search for them in logic. When i have a wave loop, or sweep. i just drag them into an audio track. i do use the esx sampler for kicks claps and everything in between. i am buying komplete4
A nice mastering plugin is IK multimedia T-racks s3.
Hmm well Kontakt seems to be better...you can do much more once you get your samples in there. EXS takes a bit less CPU but its limited. For effecting each drum sound, tuning it, tweeking etc Kontakt is the way to go for sure.
Great stuff guys. Where does the Mac Pro fit into the picture? How do you use the macbook pro and the macpro together? Are you running different software on both? If so, how do you sync your work? Many thanks for taking the time to make this. Loved the thump!
All our software is installed on both. Usually we start songs on the laptops then transfer the project folder when we want to start new song. Logic will recognize all the software used. The drum samples wont transfer with 3rd party software like Kontakt. Kontakt will give you an option to find those samples on startup(search spotlight option). Once it finds them all, logic will remember all those samples next time on startup.
Thanks a lot TommyNegeal. We appreciate your full support. Check back often as we will be releasing a series of these videos. Have a great holiday season. Best, ANDT

The way you do it now is a cool way but also using a finder window and using quick preview by the hitting spacebar is a good way too.
We have T-Racks too. Just used to using Ozone :)
Yeah Kontakt 4 is great. A sampler is a sampler but kontakt really makes it easy to do some things and the sounds that come with it are pretty sweet!

sorry thats what i meant,, i use the finder window.
would you say its better to make my own sample patches using the exs or kontackt?

There isn't anything remarkable about this music... They're just like Miami-esque scum with their cars and Grey Goose and spiked hair shit
