  • An epic instrumental metal song that is gonna be hard to top.

  • just one word: WHOA

  • A lot like Dream Theater but just more grindy guitar riffs. Recommended for any Prog Metal or metal fan!

  • definitely The Dance of Eternity Part 2

  • this song's intro uses the riffs from DT's Just Let Me Breathe song (around 3:38). Very nice tribute imo. :)

  • Circus Maximus started out as a Dream Theater tribute band... So it's no surprise they have a strong DT influence. They did manage to forge their own sound though and i have to say they have a knack at making incredibly epic songs.

  • i enjoyed it

  • Very Dream Theater......a bit more aggressive maybe.

  • DT wears their influences on their sleeves as well, but no one here is criticizing them for that. Yeah, Biosfear sounds like DOE. But how many other songs sound like that? I'm glad DT has influenced a band enough to come up with this, its awesome

  • arto plagio a dream theater dance of eternity!!!!

  • this is a incredible progessible metal... we love it, thanks for this seriously !!! love it !! :D

  • This was a nice instrumental song. Some parts reminded me of Meshuggah.

  • Some even more remind me of Dreamt Theater. Just listen to "The Dance Of Eternity". Theres so much of this Song in here. Nice song, though...

  • que tal tema, exelente grupo

  • Great instrumental. Prog Metal is seriously a beautiful genre, especially when it's played so well.

  • This song is so much harder to follow even after hearing it over 200+ times than Dance of Eternity in my opinion.

  • nah...

  • Dream Theater is kick ass but they have many better songs than this. The Test That Stumped Them All for instance.

  • they remind me of early pagan's mind... dream theater are good i suppose i just cant stand amercian prog/metal. european all the way

  • i agree that prog metal songs may tend to sound similar to each other, but this is TOO similar to the Dance of Eternity

  • yeah i can kinda see what he means

  • 2:46 = the trippiest thing ever

  • It's SOOO coool! But, sounds and stuff... " dream theater! SOOO dream theater!

  • The sounds kind of reminiscent of Dance of Eternity.. It's great though!

  • Hahahhahaaha this iso nice 2.47 guitar

  • These guys need to get in on the Progressive Nation tour.

Circus Maximus + Dream Theater + 2 other prog bands in one show = OMG!!!

  • they are the new DreamTheater and Symphony X hybrid. Cant wait to hear these guys 10 years down the line. Just so talented.

  • Their European, so I hope they will have Minneapolis on their tour

  • yeah :) i whould like to hear them few years later too :)

it's just tooo TD, but i love DT so i think they are talented coz they can play similar music

i hope they will have their own direction and style :)

  • get out of here with this never ending DT comparison. Just because it is complex and some progressions meet DT sound, does not mean jack shit. Why the fuck do you guys always compare everyone to DT? Ain't you getting tired of it? Anywhere I go to see prog band, it's like "dude, it's lot like DT..." just goddamn listen and don't be so stiff. I can actually listen to every note here and have some pleasure doing so. BTW, you don't hear DT but elements of LTE progressions - that's quite different

  • Maybe because this song is based off of The Dance of Eternity?

Some of the lines are the same.

  • no..they're right this time

  • I don't listen to alot of modern music but this is REALLY GOOD

  • I guess none of you are musician because this doesn't sound anything like Dance of Eternity.........sheesh! CM is pretty awesome group of musicians....they just may surpass DT!

  • even the name of the band reminds me of Dream Theater: an adjective and a place where ppl have entertainment

  • ha ha

  • Yeah, but they got it from a video game called Circus Maximus, not Dream Theater. I'm, tired of hearing that.

  • dream and circus aren't adjectives retard

  • i agree with whoever said "Dance of Eternity 2"!!!!!!

  • omg, i didnt even look at the comments, and i was like, damn this sounds like dance of eternity!!!

but damn, these guys are very good nonetheless

  • Hail Norwegian music! :D

  • Lol. For the people who say CM aren't influenced by DT, they started as a DT tribute band! Lol

  • URL for download the song...

  • DT influenced many progressive bands. Im lovin the arugements below. Lol

  • Great piece! Reminds me of DT's "Dance Of Eternity" too much though. And of DT as a whole. I love listening to this band and they have improved consistently with the "Isolate" album. I would like to see them on stage some day, they are worth listening to.

  • it'd be great to see them on progressive nation 2009... but perhaps instead they are inviting some metalcore progressive metal wannabees like protest the hero or "under the buried is me".

  • prog is the best!

  • DT and CM are both good but stop pretending like this isn't heavily inspired by DT. It's like when people used to argue with me that there was no way DT was influenced by The Dregs. Then lo and behold Petrucci talked about Steve Morse as one of his influences in an interview soon after their Awake album came out.

  • I hear DT influence but thats because it's fucking progressive metal, not because they're copying DT. They are in the same category (I dont know what other word to say) of progressive metal as DT. Lots off jazz fusion and dual piano and keyboards is the category im referring to.

  • I agree, just because they sound Identical to DT certainly doesn't make them copy cats.. They're simply progressive metal.

  • Couldn't agree more with Dawnbringer999. They are progmetal, that's why they sometimes can sound like dream theater! It's ALOT of prog, prog and prog, but it doesnt mean that they have copied DT. It's PROG METAL! They're in the same genre, so it's not weird, not weird at all.

  • inspiration? Dream Theater(Mike and John I would say)... Odd time signatures... lol

    M.P.

  • soy baterista del estilo metal y esta banda tiene mucho material y fuerza

  • AWESOME, is it someone who knows if Mats has a youtube account or not?

  • the fusion part is wonderful. One of the greatest brand new acts in progressive rock in the last few years

  • To jest chore xDD

  • ah a lot of fusion inside:-)

  • the best instrumental song in years

  • one of my favorites by the heavy songs from the band!

  • Gran Banda

  • Dace of Eternity pt2

  • true true

  • You can easly hear the DT influence @ 2:47, it sounds a lot like that part from dance of eternity / Metropolis pt 1 XD

  • indeed ^^

  • A thing is sure, I can easily hear influence of DT most along all song long... Drumming...guitare riffs... thats not bad because DT should do more instrumental prog rock(I mean without this seagull crying all the tim Labrie, sry for ts fans)

    Great song btw

  • this song rulz!!!!! \m/
