They know it wouldn't be a smart move to take another voice actor for the same guy. Second of all, it's another universe. Rockstar confirmed they wouldn't use the same characters anymore as in the gta III era. I liked Tommy too, but you gotta be realistic

lol thats the point. The cities have the same name but are completely different from the original. Liberty city had the same name as Liberty city in gta III, remember. But did you meet anyone from the III era in gta IV? didn't think so. Trust me, we won't see Tommy Vercetti again, I'd put my head on that.

The voice actor is acting on a voice as if Tommy was older. When you age you voice gets deeper. That's why Liotta isn't doing the voice. If you compare pic the facial pics of the new guy in the 5 trailer looks and has features that Tommy did. Anybody that can say that isn't Tommy is fucking retarded.

I'm so used to playing characters that take shit from other people because that's the easiest way to get your character to do any sort of mission or task. I like what they did with Tommy. He did favors for people, but in a lot of ways he made it seem like him doing a favor for them was actually them doing favors for him. Vercetti taught people how to treat him, and that was with respect. Either that, or he slaughtered them personally. Such an excellent and rare character, Tommy.
