Great Review ! I just left Mcy's and have it on now. Smells great ! I just want to see how long it last before I purchase it. One thing ,I have noticed if the sample spray is kept behind the counter it must be good. Jaipur was -and I had to get the young lady to spray it on me.They do not want to let certain bottles leave their sight. lol

I love Jaipur! Such an interesting scent. Excellent longevity and projection. You can still smell it in the room long after the wearer has left.

I actually enjoy the eau de parfum because the longevity is much greater than that of the toilette. One spray on the neck is all I need, and I've received a lot of compliments. Awesome review. Keep up the good work.

Great review, and so many don't know about this item. I was in Macy's for an hour looking for something different. I don't like citrus, or musk scents, I like earthy woodsy, floral, mostly. I felt so bad for the clerk, I must have tried 20 items. He got close with one, and I said, Ok--something like this, but more elegant. His eyes lighted up- and I tried Jaipur. LOVED it. I didn't think twice about buying it. Are there other items like this you could recommend in the same category?

Is Jaipur an actual french term or does it refer to the city in India?

@lozoft9 the house of Boucheron created a oriental/ spicy fragrance which is supposed to symbolize the spice of India. Hence the North western Indian city of Jaipur also known as the Pink City was picked as the final name.

I have owned many Jaipur's eau de parfum pour homme over the years & its one of the finest mens parfum's out there.

I like Jaipur very much. This fragrance reminds me of Givenchy PI, except Jaipur smells more elegant and refined in my humble opinion. One can't go wrong with this fragrance. However, I am not so sure if this fragrance is considered versatile. Jaipur is a great fragrance to wear on an evening date or at a black-tie event. This is a very nice formal fragrance and is highly recommended.

As far as I can see, you have always conducted your reviews with a great deal of care and effort, so I wish you many continued successes. As to the relationship with fragrancenet: most people (the majority of Basenoters included) can understand that your loyalty to that firm does not change your perception of a perfume or inspire a sense of obligation to the given perfume brand.

Edwin Creed (Oliver Creed's son) worked on OV, Himalaya, Original Santal, etc. What's funny is that OV came out 3 years AFTER TM Cologne did.
