i think that ONE of the reasons that gas prices are so low at the moment could be because the oil companies are trying to kill the ethanol plants that are starting up, i know that people say the reason gas is so low is because no one is buying gas

ya i can see what u mean bout ford.. im in the military and we use a lot of there cars and trucks.... BUT we also have the allison transmission in the humvees soooo.. for what its worth

Ford gets a lot of their sales from companies buying in bulk, thats how their truck sales are so high, also, they give the companies a deal, the company buys a bulk of trucks, uses them for a year or two, and ford buys them back and sells them in a Ford auction as long as the company buys new Fords

GM does basically the same thing but on a smaller scale with Rental cars and company cars, they have a GM auction in Ohio every other Tuesday

Really I could care less. LOL......... I don't get caught up in worthless discussions about what car is better than this car. My Ford gets me to work great! No problems whatsoever. On top of that neither one of these companies is doing shit for me finacially so I really don't give a shit!

That's cool, my last car was a supercharged GTP. I got tired of the s/c though b/c they're a pain to tune and always have to deal with knock retard issues. Trucks are hard to get off the line--not a lot of weight on the rear wheels. You need to get some slicks or d/r's out back. Also if you take off the 18's when you goto the track you will run a few tenths faster. See you @ Ennis!

i just know that is not stock! no way a 6.0l v8 345 hp, 380 lb torque 0-60 sec in 6.5 sec, stock silverado ss is beating any corvette. people on here really beleive that when they see a truck or car beat another, they think it's stock. this big heavy ass truck stock would get owned by this vette.

The Vette actually won in this video, by a few tenths. Also the SS is not stock (I believe he has a smaller pulley and perhaps some other things).

Just for reference. Johnny Lightning has a Lightning and holds the world record for 1/4 mile. 8 sec. For a pick-up truck that's pretty damn good.

yeah its supercharged... i just got a smaller pulley put on it and that was my 1st time back to the track... i still need to learn how to take off from the line better... as u can tell from the clip im having traction probs... that run was with 16 psi in my tires and better but not good... but thanks again for the clip... had to show it to all my friends... maybe see u at ennis again...
