  • THanks for sharing.

A magical moment from a better time.

Needless to say this is a classic anthem for psychedelic journeys.

Peace to all beings in the universe <3

  • i love so much this song

  • Loved the John Peel session version of this...March '92. It was faster... I remember being really disappointed when the record came out, and realized they were going to record everything slow and heavy...

  • ha look at the people jumping into the crowd of the stage around 2:29

  • The audience is so quiet. Were they just left speechless by what they had just seen? That's the only explanation I can come up with.

  • first heard this on Marc Goodier Evening sessions in 1991/2 and it blew me away. Live supporting the Smashing Pumpkins at Manc Uni summer 1992. Unbelieveable. This is their best.

  • muchas bandas creen que tocar rapido es tocar bien, the verve es una prueba de que no siempre es nesesaria la velocidad , nick es impresionante. cheers from mexico.

  • They wouldn't think of playing this song live, now. I don't think they have played it live since they reformed in 1997.

  • This is worth A LOT. Thank you so much for sharing it.

  • This is what a religious experience feels like. Ecstatic . . . powerful . . . mysterious . . . beautiful.

  • FANTASTIC LIVE song

YEAHHHHHHHH VERVEEEEE THE VERVE is the best band of the 90´s

  • @ascent7 by maradona you mean? hahahahahahaha

  • is there any way i can acquire the unedited version of this song? it doesn't seem to get made anymore, it's not on the internet anywhere, not even on the itunes store. jesus.

  • what do you mean unedited?

  • there is a long studio version of this song that was only released on a single many years ago. a few more versions were released but were chopped by a couple of minutes.

  • the 8.55 one?

  • i believe it's about that long yes. do you have it?

  • but only in 128.... if you still want it anyway, just give me your mailadress

  • ow man i want it too.. could you do that for me too? I would really appreciate it.

  • Fucking Class!

  • coolio

  • pure genius

  • indeed, first time i heard this i was on drugs, and the lowest ever i have been in my entire life, this song woke me up man

  • sublime.

  • This song is painfully good!!!

  • cojonudos , una banda mitica

  • theyre gonna need more e

  • :/ you dont need e to write or preform a song like this, just raw talent

  • its a joke. they were mainly using e when they were making these songs. e and other drugs helped them with their trippy sound effect. no non drug user can comprehend this music or make it at this level and fully understand it.

  • err, not sure I agree with yo there. The textures and ambience in the music could be interpreted from a non drug perspective with some other meaning. Anyway, drusg ruin ya if your in a popular band and traveling around on tour, kills yer really :/

  • Yes they are bad for you. But to understand THEIR meaning because they were on drugs such as ecstasy, it helps to actually be on the substances. I first heard them before any drug use was in me and I was just like, "this is cool mellow music." Then I had started using drugs (marijuana and ecstasy.) Listening to the Verve on these drugs really brought a new understanding to their meanings.

  • first time i listened to this song on the verve this is music the best of: 3 years ago, i was using drugs, and i knew things were f'cking up for me, and knew what was coming, i felt incredibly sad, the feeling got, to this day i cannott describe, it was err... unholy.

  • sometimes if i think about the drugs, i can feel the effects. to take em now would finished me off period.

  • I know the feeling. I have been there after the abuse hurts you. I have been through periods of sobriety when I can think about it and feel the effects a little. However now I have figured out that moderation is the key. The members of the Verve have all been through this themselves as well.

  • well if i think about the effects of marijuana then i can sorta feel/slash/imagine the effects, and feel myself becoming slightly psychotic, same with lsd, if I stare at the same thing for more than 3 minutes I can almost imagine it about to change into something else. the very last time i had acid i was watchin g the football, and i was on the tv playing in defense, and WII was happening outside, seriously, thats f'cked yup.

  • So I am guessing you have not had the best of trips?

  • The last time I picked shrooms was oct'06- i had 1,000 lib. caps, and brewed 5 litres of the stuff... i just had two glasses, and in 45 mins, the sofa had eyes and a mouth, so did the rug, and it was dancing- i looked in the mirror and was turning into a 42 year old man- the ran to the sink and the entire kitchen was dancing- the taps were turning into elephants- i put my hand as far down my throat as poss, and was vomiting up water whihc looked like blood

  • whoa

  • Oh that;s nothing- the other time I had 6 litres of the stuff- i was on the train... saw purple women with six arms chasing me and policemen as well, all the colours on the train started to melt, and my arse felt like it was sinking to the bottom of the train and onto da tracks- a man turned around to ask me if I was ok, and it was a pink goat

  • Been smoking gods gift to enjoyment i.e. marijuana for 18/19 years. Never had shrooms man. Going off your experience. I'm fookin' mad ferrit! lol

  • i got so freaked that i disposed of the rets of the stuff and sat on a chair hugging my knees.

  • jesus christ. all my shroom trisp are nothing but happy and enjoyable

  • infact, listening to it again, as i am reply to your comment brings it all back, and is giving me a bad buzz (as i am drinking tonite)

  • back together at last!

  • man i cant wait to hear nick play again! and with Richards words they are the best british band. They have the potential to be one of the biggest in the world!

  • Wow, thanks so much for posting these gems from what I think is the Verve's best years and this is my ultimate fav!!!!!XXXXXX

  • Bring it on, hope they can do it as they did before. The talent they have is immense, its just a wait-and -see now to see if they can do it again. All decent fans are in for a treat now i think.

  • don't read it if you don't want to, you should put a guide of "how to coment on you tube"

  • THEY'RE BACK! Now to get them playing this one live.

  • BACK TOGETHER YEA!!!!

  • I would love to see the verve live, I mean there are few bands like them, maybe none, hope they get together sometime

  • They are back. They have reunited

  • BRILIANT FANTASTIC THE BEST OF ALL

  • Nick definitely done good there!! :-)

  • Fucking great!!!!!

  • One of our biggest influences. Helped inspire us to create "the music you dream to," with dreamy, ethereal layered guitars and hypnotic bass. Come check us out at myspace

We hope someone will post live versions of "Space and Time" and "Blue"! Please let us know if you do,

    Astral Travel

  • stop posting your comments in every verve video you jackass, and your band wont do anything compared to verve and you suck so stfu now

  • Ahh leave the guy alone; at least he's passionate enough to start his own band let alone be inspired by arguably the second greatest Britpop band to come out of the 90's behind Oasis.

  • Idiot

  • I love this band and I miss them :(

  • they have reunited!

  • OMG YOU ARE RIGHT .... I OWE YOU!!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I cant think of anyway to describe what I just heard other than saying its simply brilliant.

  • Hello all you beautiful people that have posted comments here. I have been describing Verve's sound as "dreamy guitars" for years. I agree with you all, the music Verve made during this period(92-94) was very special.

  • Mind-blowing

  • They were like a shooting star streaking high across a clear night sky, so beautiful, so full of light and energy . . . and so destined to come crashing to earth.

  • those beautiful dreamy guitars... ahhh. early verve is so great.

  • classic tune

  • This was a beautiful era in 'rock' music. It was truly the last peak in pop/rock music with Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, Lush, The Verve, The Black Crowes at their peak, etc, etc.

  • just beautiful.. wish i had been there seeing this s**t live

  • Yes I agree drugs + verve = win. No drugs = ftl.

  • Hah. The drugs did work.

  • Indeed... Best era of Verve.

  • this song is chillin man. Especially when your not sober...

  • what a joy to have stumbled upon this trove of hidden gems.

  • "McCabe always preferred keyboards to guitars".. he was the mad one if u ask me, what a waste of talent. This is GREAT! shame so pixelated, but even so.. thanks shoegaze!!

  • *reminds self to start breathing again*

  • nick done a good job on this song. lyrics are brilliant too.

  • - WOW -

    Best Band Ever

    JUST REAL

  • choooooooooooooooownnnnn

  • hands down nick is one of the greatest guitarists ever. tough to imagine all of that structured noise could come from one guitar.

  • Simply awesome... Nick mccabe is the dude

  • possibly my favorite verve recording - same as heard on voyager one. listen to mad richard scream. mccabe generates waves of sound. unbelievable! they were never the same after nick left the band.

  • Never been a band as good as they are! Why Nick MCcabb never went solo is a mystery!!!

  • breath taking

  • R.I.P the verve
