My entire elementary school was OBSESSED with this show, I had Kai's beyblade and I beat out a seventh grader (in grade two!) and he punched me in the jaw and gave me a really bad overbite for the rest of my life but IT WAS SO WORTH IT. After that we were all into Yu-Gi-Oh! :D

i remember when i was in grade 1 everyone had beyblades... i used to sneak mine to school against my parents wishes so i could play too. it was a magical experience for a kid that young to sneak behind the portables and "let it rip" on a flat surface we would find, no knowing if the teachers would find us and take our toys.
