Pls fix that pronunciation problem. It is not the first time i'm hearing it. Don't try to sound pretty. Negro Spirituals demand more than that. Vocal interpretation is terrible. The choir need to know the difference between soft passages and loud passages. That ending was abrupt and ineffective. The rounds was terrible. If you are rearranging a song. Arrange it better and not worse. Maybe you should ask help from the director, whether previous or past, from Cornwall College Boys Choir. Godspeed
ew my ears! Firstly, the thing with the hands aint happening. Pronunciation is terrible... Hello its 'Shout' not 'Shaut'.The balance is terrible. I'm not a big fan of this version but it was terribly executed. Fix the brawling voices, this should'nt be a country church choir. And you are Jamaicans not British. Forget the comments about being the Best Boys Choir in Jamaica. I have heard way better. Take my advise and then you might have a shot at being called the Best Boys Choir in Jamaica.
@cedeagle1 All I have to say is when you learn how to form a sentence properly and learn the difference between "advise" and "advice", maybe your comments will be taken seriously. Next time use a dictionary before trying to give corrections because clearly when u don't you embarrass your pathetic existence. Maybe you should ask for extra English classes, it wouldn't hurt. #thatisall
@Ramhing The aim of my comments was never to disrespect or degrade the choir. Therefore, you are only embarrassing yourself by seeking an argument and trying to degrade my intelligence over something as minor and as common as "advise" and "advice". #justsaying
@cedeagle1 Well by making the comments u made u "stooped"...#jussaying....In addition I was not arguing; that would be an utter waste of my time since u r new and all these tings. Secondly, in the art of subtle bitching u need to make sure that u have proper grammar...its just a thing...learn that. Veterans from ur choir definitely know that. Also just to highlight, u made more errors like..."The rounds was terrible"..that requires simple subject verb agreement...#Dobetter...thats indeed #sad
@Ramhing The aim of my comments was never to disrespect or degrade the choir. Therefore, you are only embarrassing yourself by going on the offensive and attempting to insult my intelligence with a minor and common mistake. Apparently, it would be pointless arguing with you - I refuse to stoop.
Ha Ha, could certainly not be looking for competition with THE GREAT CORNWALL, my, i must object to your "doing of God's work", but i'll keep it to myself, since it would be very rude, BUT TRUE!...the BEST IN JA. IS IN FACT CORNWALL COLLEGE, whether or not you have trophies to prove it, psshh, WE SEE NO COMPETITION, simply just, a wanna be replica of THE GREAT CORNWALL COLLEGE...
MC Gospel Choir is an inspiration and a powerful ministry. In Jamaica, there is a common occurence of a gospel choir either sounding good but lacking the ability to efficiently minister or on the other hand, the aim to minister is evident but the sound needs to be worked on. This choir has been blessed in that it is THE BEST MALE CHOIR IN JA (have the trophies to prove it) while still being able to change people's lives for God!:) Never diss God's ministry...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It is really a pity then that the group lacks both vocal prowess and the ability to minister effectively. Anyone with a trained ear can tell you that ATTEMPT at the song failed miserably...Stick to your overly choreographed broadway gospel productions. Touche'
Munro College is so good. They really harness the maximum of a male voice. BEST ALL-BOYS' CHOIR IN JAMAICA AND BEST CHOIR IN JAMAICA. Who dares to contest the truth?
A fair attempt by a good choir. However the best all boys' choir in any country can interpret a spiritual to its truest definition. Your innapropriate texturing and inaccurate diction and colouring will not give you much punch against the likes of Cornwall College. So get rid of the slight Jamerican accent for finals (Eloyjah, Elijoh, shauwt) All the Best
@cedeagle1 Cornwall College Boys Choir the best....that must be some sort of stand up comedy. If you attended the JCDC music competition 2010, you would have noticed Cornwall's lack of vocal prowess and inability to be versatile. The folk piece that was massacred by them should be seen as a sin. Imagine they were the only ones in the category and failed to gain the trophy..that is indeed a pity. The only genre of music Cornwall can ever master is the spiritual hence they can't be seen as "best"
@Ramhing Both choirs have its strengths and weaknesses, hence it is futile arguing over versatility. It is tempting to say though... at least CCBC has mastered a genre of music. #justsaying Peace out!
@cedeagle1 Young child that is just coming into the music biz, I ask that u have a seat and just remember that your just making your appearance into the business. Sorry to say but at my skool that minute grammatical error would be regarded as something huge. I'm sorry that our standards r quite different. Secondly I should say that the "OLD" CCBC mastered spiritual not the new one that decimated the second to last piece u guys did. I don't even remember its name. The old choir would never do that
@cedeagle1 It is not futile to argue over versatility because CCBC can't do anything apart from spiritual. If that is versatility then u need to teach me the definition of the word. Sorry Munro can be only be seen as weak in the spiritual category hence a vast amount of versatility. I don't know what they teach u that versatility means but I think we have quite different ideas and I know I'm not incorrect. Further more, that was our first time entering spiritual hence the quality. #JUSTHAVEASEAT
@Ramhing At least the CCBC, that is, the only CCBC there is, gives quality and not quantity. If I might say though your "wonderful" choir as you put it, could barely come close to walking ahead, beside or in CCBC's shoes. Simply put, that was an intentional disrespect to the song's creator. Dear! Dear! Dear! Whatever shall they do? Huh, I laugh at this thought.
