  • The cadence is much like Phil Oches

  • legendary album...

And no people, it doesn't resemble Dylan. If it's something, it's Leonard Cohen.

  • Fantastic song!

  • Yes, he'd beaten Dylan in a contest. I listen to a lot more Pearls Before Swine material than I do of Dylan for the simple reason that Tom Rapp's music is much more melodic than Dylan's; though they're both great artists. BTW Pearls Before Swine's CDs are still available from pbswine.com, including their amazing live record from '67.

  • It is amazing. I woke up with the song in my head this morning. It has been many years since I have even thought of 'Pears Before Swine". Thank you so much for posting this. A real flash from the past!

  • a talent equal to dylan but he choose a different path.

  • "When we cannot find each other, he said, well we can't run away anymore".

  • Yep, Dylan is gash.

  • No you.

  • and he did - long agoin Minn he topped dylan in a local songster contest-

  • Timeless beauty, outranks all Dylan imo

  • Great music, for sure, but I protest to saying this outranks Dylan.
