I worked there back in 2001. Let me tell you theres a lot more than back stage they have a city underground with cast member restaurants and tunnels that take you to different parts of the park.
The "underground" utilidor network is only at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. This is Disneyland, beyond the park perimeter. Thousands of high school kids go backstage for the Magical Music Days every year.
I don't understand how this little video "ruins the magic" for anyone. This is an area that has been seen by many Disney guests the same way that the poster of the video saw it. There are no secrets revieled that ruin any of the attractions at the park. It's just a walkway. If the Disney people really had "secrets" in this area they wouln'dt allow general public to walk through it the way they do.
Omg people seriously calm down. All the video "reveals" are some lockers, heavy securtiy and boats. BOATS!
Every park has backlots. Where do you think the floats get stored before and after the parades? Where are costumes put away while they're not in use? How do construction crews sneak in at night? How does food get into the restaurants? BACKLOTS.

I want to know who posted this! You have completely runined the magic for me. I never knew about those areas. I carried the imagination of my childhood with me each time I went to Disneyland, and now I'm speechless.
@steve51704000 Dude. Everything's going to be alright... whether your Disneyland experience is magical or not, regardless of what this video shows, is up to you. And it's obvious that these areas exist. After a character meet and greet, the characters leave with their designated cast member through those backlots. You will have a fun time at Disneyland just the same as you did before, and you know it.
OMG OMG u were like in the backlots of dosneyland and u like saw so much stuff. like, u saw lockers, and wokers, and... uh buildings. dude calm down it was hardly anything.
i dont mean to be rude , and its not like you really saw anything aside from he back of mainstreet foods/stores & jungle cruise storage/maintenance area but it is backstage and as a cm (probably working that day actually.. ) i'd really like it if you just take it down , backstage is our sanctuary and its not only rude but spoils the magic for some folks.
if u work for disney i have a suggestion. if u care about ruining the magic for some folks then u shud change ur back lot enterance that lies behind tommorrowland. (the enterance that's at that "Agrifuture" sign.) all i have to do is turn around and WHAM i see the backlots and the magic is ruined. at least put a door up so u cant see straight in. thank you. I guess dreams really do come true
totally agree with you but unfortunately that would be a close to impossible task because the no door entrances were made for the food carts and other large objects to get through... doors would not work there... thats why there are corners that post CAST MEMBERS ONLY, that way if you see that it is your own fault for disobeying and looking around the corner
im sorry. i wasnt clear. i was not on foot when this happened. i was on the Disneyland Railroad. A totally ok place for me to be. if u turn ur head on the train, u see in there. i understand u saying big food carts have to go through there, but that makes it impossible to have gates that swing open? interesting.
I went to that backlot area behind the west main street block. There was so much traffic of people getting out of Disneyland after the fireworks show, so they opened up a cast member doorway near the entrance to adventureland and we walked all the way to the large wooden fire station door.
There was a Parade Going On and There where Soooo Many People So As We Where Walking Some Workers Where Like This Way So we Just Went Though A Ally Way.....I Dont even know If i was Able o Film It...There Was A lot Of Security...lol
@tarchelody No you really weren't supposed to film, speaking as a cast member who used to work in that very area. But it's not like anything is going to change because you did, it's usually for security reasons. Security was there to make sure that no one got hurt, and especially so no crazy people run off where they could get hurt. Really the backstage areas aren't that exciting though, I promise, it's all about the public stage of the park.
does the guy infront of u have on a big black shirt?

steve51704000, why did you watch it in the first place? It clearly states in the video that it's showing the back lots.
