Look at the myTouch. It has more internal RAM than the G1. It can be upgraded to Android 2.x The downside is that you only get a on-screen keyboard.

Verizon Droid has a faster processor and a 2.x android OS. The G1 and myTouch run android 1.6.

Connect it through USB. if not that, then get a SD card converter and a usb SD card slot. its really cheap, probly 6 bucks

I was THIS close to getting a Sidekick 2008. But I've been reading reviews for both. Like for two days now. And I've asked my friend who I can trust do give me an unbiased opinion. And she had a Sidekick LX and says that the G1 is like a Sidekick, exactly, but with a touchscreen, "and better ish." Her only problem was with the AIM. That's all.

Ok People its simple to download music here is some easy steps plug your usb cable into your G1 and your PC than you will see usb connected on the top of your device touch it select mount tahn open the folder for you sd card and find the folder that says music and than just drag and drop
