@NmcEditorWriter Rose says she studied Latin but when she says "Orothy Day" we realize she meant Pig Latin, which is when you switch words around. "Orothy Day" means Dorothy. :)

@NmcEditorWriter at first Dorothy was impressed when Rose mentioned she studied Latin in college, but it ended up being Pig Latin, which is a word play game when you take the first letter or syllable from the word and put it at the end and add -ay to it. For instance, Orothy-Day is really "Dorothy."

@LaFemmeCelena i disagree. it was dorothy who was the most abused on the show. blanche, rose, even her own mother made fun of the way she looked because she was so tall and had a deep voice. they always make fun of her manly appearance, her fashion and clothes, along with her relationship problems like getting pregnant in high school. it was definitely dorothy always getting mocked on golden girls.
