  • dude $440 PER YEAR? i pay 400 a month... wtffffff where do you live?

  • @TEEVENSSNEVEET 400 a month on bike insurance?!?!?!?!?! i pay like 300 a year for my 150

  • @TeenIronMan i pay around 5 for my 350 :)))))

  • how old were you when you had your 250r?

  • @CHROMEBULLETS I think I was 17 or so. I was a senior in High School

  • @1VanFlyheight1 alright. i was just curious because im going to be getting a 250 next year and i just turned 18..i just wanted to get a general idea of what i would have to be paying for insurance.thanks

  • you got them offline? thought they were online? hmm

  • Hey, BEAUTIFUL bike. Congrats on the upgrade. When I was looking for my first “new” bike, I had considered the 650r too. I ended up with the ZX6r 2007, and I love it to pieces. ONE thing that would be nice (esp. on LONG rides) is the more comfortable seating position that the 650r provides. Enjoy and I look forward to watching more of your vids. Check out my channel too if you’d like.

  • @ninjasa1 Thanks man and you have a nice bike there :) I'll take a look at your channel too :)

  • Do they set up insurance for you at the dealer?

  • @ThaBR33D No, you need to get your own insurance. There are plenty of insurance companies out there tho so f you shop around you can find the lowest rates possible.

  • @1VanFlyheight1 Well I have my own insurance, but I was just wondering if they make you pay a fee or something if you don't have it insured to moment you leave the door.

  • @ThaBR33D the moment*

  • @ThaBR33D I don't think they can charge you a fee for not having insurance. It probably depends on your state, and I am not 100% sure, but if you don't have insurance when you leave the dealer you may not be able to get plates for it or register it with the RMV until doing so. I'd call up your local dealer and see what they have to say just to be sure tho

  • @1VanFlyheight1 Ok thanks.

  • hey wud u recomened a cbr for a first bike plzzz answer

  • @kar383 I really can't recommend a first bike for ya, but I will recommend that you take the MSF course.

I started out on a Ninja 250r because I didn't trust my immature 16 year old self at the time and I loved riding it. Maybe take a look at a used one? They're cheap and you won't beat yourself up as much if you drop it.

You don't want anything too powerful or too heavy for your first bike. And as I as told - your first bike should not be your dream bike. Best of luck.

  • Wear well man!

  • Hey thats a really sexy bike, do you like the sexy? remember always maintain the sexy ok?

  • @1VanFlyheight1 Would you recomend the ninja 650r as a first bike? I would rather buy the ninja 250 but where i live its 4800 euros and the 650r is 7000 euros, not that much more expensive. The 650r seems like a better bang for the buck but is the bike as easy to control as the 250?

Thanks so much for all your videos!!!

  • @Gen49671 The 650r can def. be a first bike for someone as long as you are careful. it def. has a lot more torque and power then the 250 and is a lot heavier, but with patience and practice I don't see why you couldn't get it as a first bike. With that said, if I had to go back in time I would still start on the 250 however. It taught me everything about riding and gave me the confidence to buy a bigger cc bike. Best of luck with whatever you decide man :)

  • @1VanFlyheight1 Thanks for the advice and again for all your videos!

  • how much did you pay for this bike?

  • @lixiang8971 It was a little over $5,000

  • I would like to know how your insurance is still that cheap (unless rates are way better in the US compared to Canada but after doin some online quotes id be doin your ninja dance in there office if they told me 400s a year!! lol

  • @asmith929 haha My insurance is so low becasue I get a few discounts. I insure my car with the same insurance company, I am a Honors student in college, and I took the MSF course. All three things give me a pretty good discounted rate off of what people would normally pay without them. On a side note, the Honors discount just got bumped up to 10% off haha More savings! :D

  • @1VanFlyheight1 thats awsome man ! well except for the honors student thing (cause well im lazy and not to smart lol) ill do the other two things thanks for the advice!!

  • Hey man bike looks great, black was a good choice! As it stands thats what im going to save my pennies for. but what other bikes did you look at in that class before settling on the ninja?

  • @asmith929 Thanks man, black is also the fastest color :P lol

Other bikes I looked at in the same class as the Ninja was the Suzuki SV650. I also looked at the Honda CBR F4I, Yamaha FZ6R, and a bunch of others. Check out my video "Searching for my new bike" to see some of the others and my thoughts on them.

I decided on the Ninja becasue my gut told me it was the right one haha Best of luck saving man, it's well worth the wait!

  • All i gotta say is.......cool bike!!

  • @heavensbutterfly1212 Thanks man ;)

  • @havedogwillscooter Thanks man! And yea for flat footing! :D lol

  • First of all, congrat's on the new bike. I can't wait to get mine next summer. Do you have "Bags" for the Ninja 650r? If so, do you pretty much install them, like you would if you had "2" seperate seats, like you did on your 600 ZZR? Take care my friend.

  • @TheCaferacer66 Thanks man, and I don't have any bags for the ninja yet ... hopefully a x-mas gift ;)

  • how tall are you?

  • @RJKcool3 I'm 5' 10" 130 pounds

  • More vlogs demanded! haha, I'll have to do a walk around of my new bike when I get it! I need to hurry and get a camera too to vlog.

  • @Goloth1 haha And yes to a walk-around and vlogging in the future!

  • Would you recommend this bike as a good first bike? I was thinking about the 250r at first but since I'm a heavy set I came to the conclusion that a 650r would be a good first bike. How responsive is the throttle? is the response a good choice for a first time rider?

  • @Devok07 If you are careful and take your time to get used to it I think it would make a good first bike. It has a lot more torque then the 250r and is heavier, but if you are careful I think you'll be fine. Best of luck!

  • awesome bike man ^_^ cnt wait to see more vlogs.

  • @djkkt52 Thanks man :D

  • airplane-- you'd think i would be able to spell that.. :P

  • @katesousa Hey you! haha We need to get on that :D Hope all is well :)

  • you failed to meantion the airplang video lol

  • woow nice it looks awesome.. looks a little less like a sport/racer though :( still awesome though :)

and could ya show the exhaust if ya do another walkaround, it looks so close to the whell :S

    thanks :) nice bike

  • @necrodrum Sure man I'll do a close up at some point. But the exhaust is pretty close to the wheel.

  • looks like a 250 on steriods haha

  • nice ride looks like the autumn color is starting to pop up north of you NH is looking pretty sweet omg its friggn raining hard today congrats on the new bike i like the red illuminated dash pretty tight :)

  • @67kneil Thanks man! And it is raining so hard! haha

  • Dang bro, it's been a bit since I've seen a video of yours pop up in my sub list. Glad to see you rocking the L-twin bike. Double thumpers unite!

  • @dodgerider26 haha "Double Thumpers" Thanks man :D

  • man i like youre new bike sweet

  • @kd4ysi Thanks :)

  • So you just payed 10 Grand more for the same bike?...

Let's be honest, you're not exactly in need of the upgrade, and for the riding style you've basically thrown 10 grand out the window for worse fuel economy.

  • @BlinkZX6R First off it wasn't 10 grand, wasn't even 5 when all was said and done. Second off, it has nothing on the 250. And for the extra 2 bucks I'm paying at the pump to fill her up compared to what I was paying with the 250 I think I'll survive.

  • @1VanFlyheight1

I have no idea what they're going for used then, I also wasn't bashing your bike or riding, I just come across as rude some times.

I personally think the 650r is a beast of a machine and if I didn't have the ZX6R, I've probably have the same bike as you. I was just speaking my mind, I just figured for your needs the 250r was perfect and that the 650r was more money when the 250 was doing everything you need. Again, I don't know you and it was just my opinion. Nice bike.

  • @BlinkZX6R 650 eats the 250, zx6 eats them both combined and thats what bike I will be getting. Yes, my first bike.

  • @NinjaOnANinja The 650r has radically less performance than a ZX6R and only boasts superiority in comfort. Denying so is blatant arrogance. I wasn't trying to be rude, I just speak bluntly.

  • @BlinkZX6R Not really. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people like it one way, some like it the other. Where as you may say the upright is more comfortable, someone could say they prefer to lean because of the way they like to drive it.

You speak bluntly but I speak it as well and I deal with both sides of the argument, I don't side with my own opinion because its my opinion. I hear both sides and choose after such arguments are made.

  • I live in Toronto, Canada and I'm paying $800/yr CND, compare to your $250/yr

  • Gas gauge??? Hell my GsxR 1000 doesnt have one of those.. I wish it did.

    Nice bike.

  • @sgtmarkins Thanks man, and the gas gauge is nice, but it doesn't read as accurately as I would like it to :(

  • Awesome bike !!

  • @chinezyxx Thanks man :)

  • Great looking bike, totally see the praying mantis. Hope you enjoy her for many miles to come!

  • @OoxTruExoO haha I'm glad you see it too :D

  • nice mate!

  • Congrats on the new ride! Sweet bike I hope you enjoy it!

Please remember it takes a while to get used to a new bike. Take it easy until you and the bike are one. :D

    Ride safe!

  • @RC62 Thanks man, and I always take it slow.

  • GRATZ FOR YA NEW BIKE :D, NExt week I will finally get my NINJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Good choice, Great looking bike.

    ride safe

    Neil

  • Any modifications planned?

  • @Thomazz46 I want to buy a pipe, but I think I'm going to wait till after x-mas. I also want to install some heated grips which I may do sooner then later.

  • Finalleh!!!!!

  • oright I'm jealous :P

  • nicE! lol UR VIDEOS are amazing, i cant wait to get my motorcycle :D

  • @model876 Thanks man! And best of luck in getting a bike :D

  • digital dash FTW. thinner, lighter, easier to read. wish I had one.

  • @DumbDuck44 Very true, it has grown on me a lot.

  • yeye! looks like a great bike :D I'm saving for a 250 (maybe a ninja?), hoping to get it soon :) looking forward to your next vid.

  • @lotnic Thanks man. And best of luck with saving for the new bike, it's def. a lot more rewarding saving for your own bike then having someone buy one for you.

  • your 650 CAN NOT get 40 TO THE GALLON i have a 600 and it only gets 30 to the gallon

  • @cruellordsoth 30 to the gallon is poor for a 650. Whats your riding style and cruise speed? If its not from high-speed cruising (hurts fuel economy), is your oil reservoir overfilled, filter clogged, chain have any kinks, or tires slightly underinflated?

  • @cruellordsoth Seeing as Kawasaki says it should be getting 45 mpg I think my statement holds true.

  • @1VanFlyheight1 I have a honda cbr600rr what is the 0-60 on yours

  • @cruellordsoth 3.8 Seconds

  • @cruellordsoth 4 cylinders vs 2...oh yes it can.

  • I will have you know that I bought my dualsport just because she looked good with her green highlights...LOL just kiddin, You bike is awesome. My friends both have ninja 650 and they love them. One even added decals on the tank that says USS Kawasaki (star trek junkie). Thanks for sharing

  • @TheHappyThought haha Thanks :) And I like that: "The USS Kawasaki" lol

  • "All that good stuff" x100

  • @Nickpatient Yeah .... I'm a horrible vlogger

  • @1VanFlyheight1 Nah the "And all that good stuff" is kinda funny. I'm sure woodenchairs will pick up on it.. "Huhu" :)

  • Nice bike ,

Love the 250r models , but these are great loooking too (:

    So u R makin vid's again?

  • @patrick1wtf Thanks man, and more vids are in the future :D

  • Ahh yeahhh! Sweet bike man, thats the one bike that I really really love! Looks so sexy, and like you said it seems comfortable aswell as powerfull. Enjoy it for me too =)

  • @bfmv580 Thanks man, and I'll be sure to ride a few miles for you too :D

  • you back

lol thats your new shiet is so sexy and sound awesome

    good work ;)

  • @CwalkUnlt haha Thanks man :D

  • So how do you find stuff offline ? :)

You ever considered a career in Use car sales? Think you be really good at it

yeah those are my random thoughts for the day.

But the Bike looks good tho, Would have like to seen a close up shot of that rear shock setup Kawi uses there.

  • @Cybergasm01 I actually look for things on a lot of different motorcycle forums. They have a huge amount of information on them.

And thanks man :) I'll see what I can do in a future vid for a close up of the shock setup.

  • I think this is the same as the uk er6f , same bike as brotherblonde, nice one!

  • @pictgroove4 Yup, same one :D

  • Nicee, glad to see you're back =]

  • @TheRedline65 Thanks man, it's good to be making videos again!

  • *ton loads of jealousy*

  • Very nice! Who's your insurance provider?

  • @Kodiak31415 I have Saftey Insurance. I think they may only serve Massachusetts tho.

  • You be careful with that thing! Those are dangerous!

  • @redneck500 haha I will be :P

  • nice bike, how do you find the stock tires? what make are they? cheers

  • @htse009 The stock tires are: Bridgestone Battlax BT-021 tires and they hold up fine.

  • did you go nuts for having a clock? I know that when I get a new bike, that'll be something I'll geek out on.

  • @XtraKryspy Believe it or not I actually did! Now I know exactly how late I am every time for work lol

  • That's one sexy beast you've got there :D

  • @Sponge1310 Thanks man, I'm enjoying it!

  • Hey. Nice bike man. I'm a bit upset us Brits can't get away with saying "yippin' and hollorin'" That's an awesome expresson lol!

  • @jack0305 haha I have a lot of interesting expressions :D Thanks for teh comment!

  • Enjoy the new bike !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BIKERMETOO Thanks man, I'm enjoying every mile :)

  • DAMN MAN! 400 yr for a 650...shit I pay 400 yr for a 150 :(

  • @cniiru

Don't feel bad broski. I paid $2000/y for 3rd party on a 50cc scooter as my first bike.

    Now I'm paying $2000/y for 3rd party on my new SV650 ;)

  • @cniiru Ouch, it will go down over time! Hopefully .... haha

Had you checked out other insrance companies for a cheaper rate?

  • thanks for posting again, i was wondering when we were gonna get to see the bike.

Just a couple question about it. Seems like a lot of people complain that the mirrors vibrate a lot at high speeds and it makes it hard to see behind you. is that a problem you've noticed/is it a big deal?

Second, how's the power compare to the 250? I ride i 250 and i love it, but ive always wondered how much different it would be to ride a more powerful bike. is it a completely different experience?

  • @blatster Well about mirrors vibrating at high speed, I wouldn't want to be looking behind for more than a 10th of a second at high speed. Would you?

  • @blatster The mirros do vibrate at high speeds, but it doesn't really bother me. I've read on some motorcycle forums about people who have added in weathering stripping in areas to lessen the vibrations --- I think rthat may be a winter project :)

There's def. a difference in power. A lot more torque as compared to the 250, but its nothing you can't get used to riding around in a parking lot for a few hours. The key is to just take your time when you ride a bigger bike.

  • that's a good looking bike..one day when you vloging on a ducati I will still watch your video man..good luck

  • @lixiang8971 haha Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words :D

  • Great looking bike. Congratulations!

  • @Ryosen11 Thanks man!

  • Dude i was sooooo excited when i saw this vid in the subscription box LOL luv the bike man hope u enjoy it

  • @slipknotmetalhead13 haha Thanks man, it's def. been a blast to ride!

  • I have that exact bike, you thinking about lowering the handlebars eventually?

  • @TornamiRider Awesome man! And I haven't given it much thought mainly for the sole reason that I like the up-right riding position because I have back issues.

  • very nice is it real heavy because i want one just not sure i want to trade the 250R i still love twistys and don't want to trade speed for the corners

  • @AnthonyThaX I believe it weighs about 100 or so pounds more then the 250. Kawi says its curb weight is 447lbs. The bike handles very well in the twisties so you do not really compromise speed with the added weight.

  • yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss i've been waiting for soooo looongggggggggg

  • @iopghjk001 haha Sorry to keep you waiting man :D

  • Oh and I know you don't know but I'm from MA and stuff and im a new rider but honestly I'd like to meet ya sometime!

  • @EkkusuXI haha Alright man, I'm no one special tho :)

  • digital dash speedo is sick... not so sure about tac though. I really like the red flippy needle.

I'm glad you moved up. You're really going to enjoy it. It's a whole new world. Be real careful & slowly work into the throttle. Best of luck to you. Can't wait until I get home over thanksgiving and can do some riding myself. :-D

  • @lifeisgood070 Thanks man, and I always take my time. Hope ya get a chance to ride during Thanksgiving!

  • nice video glad I could see the new bike

the anticapation really added to the video's greatness:-)

just joking... thanks for the vid

  • @Marksman2oo7 i like ur name its nifty.

  • @iopghjk001 How so

  • Grats on the bike bro, I just got myself a 06 650r instead of my 250 XD

  • @EkkusuXI Awesome man, hope you're enjoying it :D

  • def very nice bro!

  • nice dude.. still rockin my 08 kawi 250r + lovin it.what can i say shes ez haha. \lll/ peace.

  • @shine77777 Awesome man! Still love the 250, and always will!

  • @MrSpeedfightRichy Yikes! That's a lot man, but not unheard of. I'd shop around a little bit more if you have not all ready. I've been through 3 insurance companies in 2 years lol

  • @MrSpeedfightRichy haha A little bit of a leap, but not much :P

  • Reminiscent of the 250 walk around, good looking too.

    Enjoy it ^^

  • @Sindorai haha Yeah both were terrible walk-arounds :D

    And thanks man!

  • bike does no look dirty at all!

  • @the3VIL haha Camera just didn't pick up all the bug splatters lol

  • how old are you cus i'm 18 and i have a zx6r w/ perfect record and i pay $96 a month just for liability and comprehensive!! it's a killer but worth it!!

  • @frostyisag10 I just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. I insure my car with the same insurance company and I'm a honor student in college so I get discounts for that which influences the price. If you want I'd get some more quotes from other companies to see if you could get a cheaper monthly rate.

  • Excellent. The 650r is the perfect bike for you. Looks super sharp as well. Loving the integrates flushmount turn signals. :)

  • @ToastToGo Thanks toast!

  • ive always been a suzuki fan myself, but i will admit, that is one smooth looking ride!

congrats! and ... as one cool vlogger has said more than once... "its all good!" ;)

  • @tradzmn1 Thanks man, and I laughed out loud at the "it's all good" ;D

  • 440$ holy sheet wow mine for the full year is only 350$

and your walk around you didn't start it Whats up wit dat homie LOL

looks great enjoy and ride like they don't see you

  • @aeroliner750 I know ... I was in a rush and kinda forgot lol FAIL Next vid :P

  • ahhh.. 650r.. movin' up.. nice and congrats!

    ride safe, 1van.

  • @rolpal619 Thanks rolpal :)

  • 71 hp, 48,5 ft.lb is quite a change from the 250, good looking bike!

  • @Moosepiesandwich Thanks man! And it was a big change at first, but I got accustomed pretty quick :)

  • Enjoy that bike!

  • @cashstore1 I'm enjoying every second :)

  • Man, I love this bike!!! Oh wait... I own one :P You got it in the right color too, awesome. I pay the same insurance too. I got to buy these frame sliders. I was wondering how they are going to look but now seeing them on your bike, done deal. Ride safe and enjoy the Ninja, I believe its the perfect sport touring motorcycle at the moment.
