  • when the lion roars, he says "Welcome to 1982, bitches"!

  • Taken from "Dog Crying in Tub" (1986)

  • The 1982 roar was done by Mark Mangini. Can anyone guess how Mangini captured the lion roar sound effects? I'd really like to know!

  • That MGM (1982) Logo Was Seen On The Movie Poltergeist (1982)

  • Is this from Poltergeist?

  • I know the current MGM isn't the same one that existed in 1982, but all this news lately has kinda been depressing me. Anyway, this is a good, classic logo, thanks for uploading.

  • i saw it for Poltergeist

  • Remember this from James Bond

  • Down Tiddles!

  • I don't like the 80's roar, it doesn't sound real

  • Yeah, the roar was actually a sound effect come up with for that long-legged demon ghost from Poltergeist. Or at least was used on that, the first movie to use the new roar...

  • @RNDH1987 WHY? you bashard!

  • @RNDH1987 Well, I believe the 1982 roar sounds kinda real. It's just that the 2008 roar sounds even more real. Also, the 1957 roar to me doesn't sound too real - in truth, it samples Tanner's roar.

  • I liked the original roar better :(
