  • @brr557 What?

  • You all need to listen to De La Soul.Three feet high and rising album. the eclectic blue print.

  • Ho yeah, I need a good Blunt Break....any day, any time

  • I came to this guy thinking he was an em c. What I got was some dope beats. I'm not to disappointed. This guys good.

  • same sample people under the stairs used - the grind

  • madlib and 9th wonder are my favorite

  • The People Under the Stairs - The Grind (Fun DMC)

  • @spsnova I was about to mention that, props..

"In the mean time, I gotta earn one..."

  • bowl break for me keep it cancer free...keep it organic, don't panic! much wholeness to madlib

  • to the people who say so-and-so is overrated, good music is good music. And as far as I'm concerned, wolfgang is the overrated one.

  • @kryptondavillain hahaha your fucking gay. faggot. it is 2012. thanks, are you a detective. stop being such a homo.

  • @DiabolicalSkeem Why're you arguing with me man? I'm probably half your age, just go on and live your life man. Hit the clubs, do something. Don't waste your time on me arguing with a teenager cause it's going to get you nowhere.

  • @kryptondavillain your actually just really fucking gay. off yourself faggot

  • @DiabolicalSkeem Need for the homophobic comments? It's 2012 man, you're an adult so show some signs of maturity. If you don't like me then block me, I never asked you to respond to my original comments. Don't get all emotional over a comment made about two guys you've never met in your life, seriously.

  • i saw somebody on here say that Dilla is overrated. wow. thats all ima say.

  • @YUNGSPYDA810 yea thats not true @ all

  • @YUNGSPYDA810 lol ppl tend to be wrong. j dilla and madlib are the goats

  • @YUNGSPYDA810 .....wow...

  • @kyrptondavillain who gives a fuck? just kick it homie. your being a bitch.

  • @DiabolicalSkeem How am I being a bitch? It's called addressing your opinion. I've had more than three people respond to me so there's obviously some people who give a damn. Maybe you're just being a bitch.

  • SPEECHLESS

  • DID THAT DUDE JUST SAY PREEMO IS OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!

  • Madlib is way better than DJ Premier, only producer I'd rate above him if I had to would be Pete Rock and RZA in his prime.

  • @KryptonDaVillain --- Dilla ? Preemo, Madlib, Dilla, Pete Rock & RZA are all dope

  • @KryptonDaVillain -- Far overrated? without DJ Premier & J Dilla ... you would have never even made that comment because Madlib wouldn't even have made this track or anyother. You wanna talk overrated? All the wack ass artists on the radio are overrated. To say that Dilla & Preemo are overrated is a serious oxy moron.

  • @RapSince99Sucx They're not overrated because nobody rates them highly. >_>. DJ Premier stole Lord Finesse's style of production and Dilla sounds like a carbon copy of Pete Rock.

  • @RapSince99Sucx Premo is extra overrated.

  • @888kermit Your fucking dumb .

  • @888kermit the only reason id say premo is overrated is because his beats have no variance in them like he doesn't flip them up much at all. nevertheless, they are all dope sounding

  • @LOGIC42369 No variety at all. Pete Rock is a more diverse producer & so is RZA that's why I rank them higher than Premo.

  • @888kermit He's overrated, end of story. His beats are all boom-bap and have the same overboard scratching to them.

  • @KryptonDaVillain ...... 0________0 really ?

  • @GodsTouch12 Yeah, he's overrated.

  • @KryptonDaVillain Really!!! Overrated!!! Have you ever listened to Premier or Dilla?

  • @BobbyBluntandthafunk Yes, I never really got into them. Premier for the fact that his beats all sound similar, although I'll admit his production on Moment on Truth is among the top five of all time, but everything else was just to stale for my liking. Dilla, well I've said it over and over again - he's a carbon copy of Pete Rock. Donuts is also very overrated and he pretty much "stole" the format to the album from Count Bass D's 'Dwight Spitz'.

  • @KryptonDaVillain That's just like... your opinion... man

  • @KryptonDaVillain

mannn lil wayne overrated and garbage shit tears me up inside hatin on my man dilla and preemo , hip hop 101 will be 6pm central for this cat bring yhe pad nd pen, scrubby nigga

    RIP DILLA

  • @KryptonDaVillain nd 9th wonder

  • @QueenzF1n3st09 Yeah, he's nice. But not their level.

  • @KryptonDaVillain how so dilla and premier created there own sound

  • @GodsTouch12 Dilla clearly took Pete Rock and Q-Tip's productive styles. Also, look at Pharcyde and how they're second album (which was produced by Dilla) failed in comparison to their first. Both hip-hop classics but it's clear that the first was better, largely due to the production. Tribe involved Dilla in the production Beats, Rhymes & Life and look how much of a failure that album was in comparison to quite possibly the greatest album of all time in Midnight Marauders. Definitely overrated.

  • @KryptonDaVillain I agree with you man. Premier and Dilla are overrated.

  • @KryptonDaVillain yea but those albulms that u listed did bad becuase of other things around that time tribe was havin mad problems as group together that was what mainl contributing to why they wereent doing so hot thye already had problems before dilla got there

  • @GodsTouch12 Tribe have always had problems but it didn't reflect on the lyrics which weren't that bad at all on that album, the beats were just stale & lacked the appeal of Midnight Marauders & The Low End Theory. Maybe I'm underrating Dilla's performance because the aforementioned are consistently rated among the best ALBUMS (not just hip-hop) of all time.

  • @KryptonDaVillain Pete Rock, Diamond and Buckwild are better.

  • @funkateer17 That's what I'm saying. I'm glad someone even brought up D.I.T.C. because they're equally important for New York hip-hop as Wu-Tang & A Tribe Called Quest are. Buckwild's definitely the most underrated producer of all time. Premier's beats lack diversity, they're all stale & sound the same. Dilla is a carbon-copy of Pete Rock only less good.

  • @KryptonDaVillain Showbiz used to be my favourite, but to be honest I haven't heard much of his more recent stuff. I mean the 'Devil's Son' beat is a candidate for best beat of all time!!!

  • @funkateer17 Same, I think he disappeared. The beats D.I.T.C. & Showbiz in particular provided in the '90s are truly unaccredited, Runaway Slave is my second favorite album of all time largely due to his production. Those who do however know of Showbiz & the rest of D.I.T.C. can respect their work.

  • @KryptonDaVillain You know who else I used to love? 45 King. He wasn't the most technical producer, but he always seemed to sample the funkiest records. If you want a big, big treat, go and watch the clip of him interviewing Chill Rob G. Oh man, I was in Hip hop heaven the other day, listening to Rob rhyme over one of the King's best beats. Really, you need to see/hear it.

  • @KryptonDaVillain The clip is called "5 King Making the beat Chill Rob G"

  • @KryptonDaVillain Sorry, that's "45 King Making the Beat Chill Rob G", obviously!!

  • @funkateer17 Wow, never heard of him. I see that's where Showbiz & Andre got their Party Groove sample from. Can't believe nobody ever brought him up though, his beats are delicious, need to find that beat that was playing prior to the 4:30 mark.

  • @KryptonDaVillain He first found fame in the early '90s, producing Queen Latifah's music. More recently, he's been known for producing 'Hard Knock Life' for Jay-Z (still his biggest-selling single) and 'Stan' for Eminem.

  • @funkateer17 That's a nice resumé. I thought Eminem produced Stan & that Hard Knock Life beat is real nice.

  • @KryptonDaVillain well to each his own dilla gets my praise becuase of how different and abstracted he sounded in compariason with alot of producers in his league the way he flipped his samples were very hard to recognize

  • @KryptonDaVillain

mann lil wayne is overrated and garbage, tears me up inside u hatin on my man dilla and preemo. hip hop 101 at 6pm central this evening for this cat bring ye pad nd pen

    RIP DILLA

  • @fluffyontouch Lil Wayne is mediocre at best, I can agree. I never liked his music, nor will I ever like his music and his popularity is declining rapidly. Pete Rock & RZA are far better producers in my opinion.

  • When should i come off break?

  • Im in the elevator going up. Hopefully its not her in actin in a rut. But I gotta say shes trippin too much, shouldnt of laced the stogie soo much. Just a touch is wat I said, but I ended going straight in just instead. She seemed to like it, her moans signified it. • @thatguy4443 Nothing original?

Let me educate you so you don't get ripped on by the rest of the community.

You're entitled to your opinion but you should know fact first.

    Check these out:

Jackson Conti (Madlib collab with a legendary brazilian artist from the band called Azymuth)

Yesterday's New Quintet (He often does remakes of famous songs)

Shades of Blue (An album where Madlib remixes some Blue Note recordings)

  • @thatguy4443 He has a few other aliases and bands that are escaping me at the moment but never get it twisted.

This man can rock more than just the pads, and if I'm not mistaken, he learned a lot of it on his own.

  • @MrDankdavis why props to quas? did he go on this? and x2 on the ppl writing lyrics on beats. i'm a rapper with writing skills but come on noones gonna feel ur flow just reading it lol

  • @LOGIC42369 quas=madlib

  • @dannylesueur well i know quas is madlib but i only consider madlib to be quas what hes rapping, quas don't make the beats, he makes the panties go down!

  • @MrDankdavis haha so true, if people wanna get their lyrics out there go out and record them, anyone can sit infront of a keyboard and type bars, it takes a real mc to go out and actually lay them over a beat haha. peace from cornwall UK.
