  • pamiętam to jak dziś :)

  • Am I the only one that finds this music pretty disturbing? Thriller material...

    Brings back so many memories...

  • I just gotta ask.... Do games look better on the PS (the original big gray one) than they do on the PSone (Smaller, white)? Because i used to own the original PS, but sold it oh so long ago... Recently i picked up a second-hand PSone (it was cheaper than the PS) and i find that every game looks alot more pixellated than i remember.....

  • @Terryracoon You probably just have better, sharper and bigger TV now.

  • the music is almost making me weep

is it somewhere else than in this demo?

  • If that ain't epic, what is?

  • @Snow3103 It was a stingray what killed Steve.

This animal is the Manta Ray and is bigger then the stingray... ;)

    Greeting :)

  • THIS is gaming

  • I play PS1 Games on my PSP .

But I would LOVE to find this DEMO disk for the PSP emulator.

I cant find it anywhere :\

  • Such a hit of nostalgia when the music started. So many great memories.

  • Wow, this looks like absolute garbage. I fail to see how this is impressive. Even the fishes are going THROUGH him. wtf?? faill

  • @BoxxyFan Die in RL.

  • @BoxxyFan sorry how old are you?

  • This demo disc was my introduction to the Playstation.

It was love at first sight.

This music and these images have been in my head whenever I think of that console.

Bravo Sony Music, you made one hell of a first impression.

  • This used to freak me out as a kid...

    Dont know why.

  • This Music make me cry ^^

  • I get a wash of nostalgia when I see this, like Im 8 years old, and I remember when the psone was new, battle arena toshinden, tekken, ridge racer, wipeout etc. those were the days.

  • @smalllions I loved that disc more than the game I got with it. Admittedly, that game was Casper (though I really liked that too).

  • Reminds me of the Chrono Cross title screen.

  • I know this, this is so old, but the graphic in this time was really cool

  • I feel so fuzzy when i hear this song ^^

  • Brings back memories and the song is so sweet and relaxing pkus I love mantas and any rays : D theyre such beutifull and strange creatures ^.^

I also remember I tried my hand on that song on my piano XD

  • Omg. I can't believe that this is on youtube. I remember playing this one and the dinosaur one, the dinosaur one scared me because I was about 6 at the time. I loved this one though.

  • god this and the dinosaur demo's absolutely blew me away. in fact when i first got my PS1 besides Ridge racer and crash bandicoot I loaded up the demo more than any other game :P

  • I used to think the t-rex was always way cooler but looking back at this one i much prefer it, more stuff going on with the fish, nicer colours, more interesting music, eerie yet relaxing, ahh the 90s..............

  • needing the track from this

  • I remember this being so calming, Sitting there with it on for like.. an hour. Calming but eerie.

  • <3 playstation

  • Oh god, this just brings back memories of me being 6 or so getting my PS1 and playing Demo 1. I have to find it again!

  • OH . . . MY . . . .GOD! *single tear*

i remember playing this for ages with my family!

we all used to sit round the tv and take turns having a go of this!

i love the PS1! Longlive The Playstation!

  • @KakashiFTWHatake

Yeh! Playstation are best!) Great great old times! How many feels!

    It's so beautyfull:o

  • ah music, there are not music like this in new game consoles

  • Really...i love the song...but i never understood the purpose of it :/

  • pure nostalgia! i think was my most played "game" on the ps1, just for the music!

  • good old music, sad in a way, brings back all those childhood memories with a ps1:(

  • Goosebumps... I can't believe how easily entertained I could be!

  • wonderfull tech demo....back then,i watch this ray for hours....nice music...

  • or maybe 12, but anyway this is a classic.

After playing nintendo and snes this came out and was the shit!!

    PSX, good memories...

  • An the other Classic!!!!

Was 8 years old when played this...

    classic demos!!

  • lol i remember this demo....the music is nice and relaxing but halfway thru it sounds quite sinister :S

  • Now I'm back in 1995. Such great memories with this.

  • amazing to watch this again and hear the music, i always thought the game was so lame (as was the t-rex) however i loved the music in this one!

  • ooohhhh the nostalgia reminds me of when i first plugged it in!

  • nostalgi

  • Do anybody know were i can download this demo/game to emulator?

  • lol this was the shit

  • Dont really like your Desc.

" Note this video is captured from REAL Sony Playstation, not from PSone, PS2, PS3 or from any kind of emulator crap - but from the original grey box that you need to position right in order for the laserdisc drive to work properly. "

I still have 2 Working PS1's, 2 PS2 (big and slim) and a PS3. Butt i do emu. to sometimes because there's lots off great PS games that i have misd like (Tombi,Blood lines,Kula World,...).

And it seems the best way to enjoy them.

  • Yeah, but emulators don't show 100% how game was meant to work. Even PS2 fails to emulate somethings perfectly.

  • Ye you kind off right. I was emulation crash bash and when you pause game there's nothing to see you cant see options and stuff

  • You can now purchase old ps1 games on the ps3 via the ps3 store. And to my knowledge there are no inaccuracities. The games play, load and feel just as the real old ps1. I also have 2 original playstation. one pal and the other pal with a chip so I could play burned and american(ntsc) games. The memories.

  • @svendsor

Software emulation on ps3 might accurate but even ps2 with ps1 parts fails on some rare occasions. These things are almost unnoticeable or appear as 'glitches' - like for example in Roller Cage stage 2, ps2 fails to show menus same way as in ps1.

  • @captainvideoblogger Nah, emulation the isn't perfect. Squaresoft games always seem to cause problems. I'm playing through Final Fantasy VII on my PS3 just through laziness and there are quite a few graphical glitches and boundary boxes not being transparent on certain doors and backgrounds.

Also VIII doesn't even boot up! Maybe my crappy PS3 version but it just sticks at a black screen. So I just use the PS1 for it which I got for £2 in Gamestation with a dual shock! =D

  • I had this on Demo, so calm, yet very enjoyable.

  • This video is like someone jacked into Ken Kutaragi's head while he was smoking a joint in the early days of PlayStation. Lots of imagination in those days, lots of ballsiness.

  • i feel like ive been transported back in time..... i use to spend hours staring in to the tv.... amazing stuff!

  • I can remember playing this demo when i was five. i loved this and the dino kinda used to scare me. This music used to make me cry also, in a good way. Man this was the best demo over in my days :) xx does anyone know the name of the relaxing song ??

  • This music used to make me cry, in a good way. It was so pretty at points ^_^

  • wooooooooow thanks for this upload!!!! awesome!!!

  • I used to play this all the time! And I still remember the music...XD

  • what is the name's song?¿

  • Does someone know where i can find the videoof a black glass man walking him self to death to some DnB music or something, i remember it was in one of those PSX demo discs :P

  • Leftfield - Africa Shox...

  • Omg dude, thank you so much for that, i didnt except to get an answer, thanks once again! :D

  • Does anyone know what this game is called; on the demo you are playing on a carnival-stage, it's a first-person game where you play as a rabbit-looking creature who shoots arrows (not with a bow, more directional-looking arrows) who also jumps REALLY high, you were able to advance to the second stage on the demo in which a flying red dragon shot fireballs at you, PLEASE, does anyone know?

  • Jumping Flash

    youtube[dot]com/watch?v=BjcDj6dWV_0

  • Thanks a million!

  • I remember being off my tits on several , coming home and putting this on. I became totally overcome with emotions and started to blub....! Thanks for uploading this, I lost my own copy about 12 years ago.

  • @atalis1 You deserve the nobel prize

  • Omg T_T Me and My cousin used to play on that Dino and Manta demo when we were Younger kinds growing up together..

  • The "Demo 1" was my very first experience on the Playstation ! That's where I know the Manta Ray Demo from.

    I always loved that music !!! ^^

(And I had some fun with the Dino too, on that time...) ;)

Thanks for those memories ! :')

  • mmm good memories.

  • playstation 1 games had awesome music

  • @subbb85 Hear hear. They were all very iconic like the music for the first few levels in Tomb Raider, the intro and first level of Soul Reaver and really anything from FFVII. Now technology has improved, everything has kinda flatlined to standard. Though maybe we'll feel the same way about 360/PS3/Wii in 15 years time, who knows. =P

  • Thank you so much for uploading this :)

  • aw man i used to play this and the t-rex one when i was a kid thanks for posting

amazing graphics for 1995 i would say

  • Relaxing)

I had two disks, demo 1 and demo 31, and on one of them i remember an arcade about pirate ship and on another there was something like egyptian style fight...if anybody remembers, give me a name of these pls!)

  • Cardinal Syn and Overboard! ?

  • Thx man!! it helped me a lot!)

But now I can't understand why i said the first one to be a "egyptian style' fighting)))

  • My demo 1 had overboard but not cardinal syn. mine had hercules, kurushi and abes oddysee. i believe thats the original demo 1 but i may be wrong.

  • Cardinal syn was on another disk, but it is not "31"... anyway...now Im looking for a psx(psp) version))
