  • killer

  • Is this real? IF so can I pleaseeee have the patch, unlesss of course this is the sound from the mix and not how it is standalone.

  • hey did you use any cab impulses for this

  • @BigAUnderground Hey no I used one of Amplitube's mesa cab models. "metal T1"

  • just use the damm software for a while, you will get your tone, also if you know how to set up REAL gear, this is a breeze....

  • people act like when they get these amp sims and they can't dial in a great tone in the first week of having it, that they feel the need to run to the internet to force others to give 'em presets and what not. these things take tweaking with and with some time one can get good tones out of these softwares

  • i dont care if this is fake or not im turning off my computer right fucking now and running back to my guitar....this riff has me so inspired!!!!

  • @slitherlock Good to hear man!

  • Comment removed

  • are this pics the present wich you use?

  • @GhProGamer93 Yep settings are in the pics

  • @fearcomplexmusic and wich guitar did you use?

  • @GhProGamer93 I use an M-Audio Profire 2626.

  • @fearcomplexmusic no no...GUITAR!! :D

  • @GhProGamer93 lol sorry misread that. I used an ESP Eclipse with EMG 81 pickup.

  • @fearcomplexmusic hey man,I recorded something with amplitube 3 and saved it. when I play the saved file, all that I hear is the bare guitar, no effects... what am I missing? please help me :( just short explanation plz. Thanks in advance !

  • @crazyrocker321 Did you record it with amplitube INSIDE your recording software or in standalone mode? Amplitube needs to be loaded as an effect on your guitar track, as you'd load a reverb or any other fx. You can monitor the sound as you play but can change the tone after since you're only actually recording the clean guitar DI signal. Check to see if you bypassed Amplitube as an effect.

  • NICE! how did you get that snare to snap like that?

  • @madcheshire77 Thanks, just some compression and lots of room mics. Superior Drummer's snares are great and so don't require much processing.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Awesome! I keep hearing great things about Superior Drummer! I use Addictive Drums, Steven Slate EX, and BDF Eco. I have never tried the full program of SD! I might have to look into it! Everytime i hear it used, it sounds insanely good!

  • Fearcomplexmusic, one question. Is their any possibily sending the Amp through an Impulse without DAW? Something like an integrated impulse loader?

  • @Visnu2007 Hey you could run Revalver in standalone mode and just use it's impulse loader which lets you use your own impulses.

  • @fearcomplexmusic

Yeah with Revalver i figured it out, the RIR makes, but Amplitube yet doesnt have an own impulse loader? Thats really sad, it would make the program even better and more versatile! :) But anyway thanks for your reply, your works good, keep it up! :)

  • i cant download the preset :(

  • im a noob at this, but does this software let you simuate amps that you dont even own

  • @TheHerpdyDerp Yep, but ofcourse the sound won't be 100% accurate to the real amp model since this is digital and real amps are tube driven. Hope this answered your question :)

  • Haha that's the preset I used to use in demos recording. Turn out this Amplitube software seems to just no be able to create nice metal guitar sounds.. So I just forgot about it and plugged directly a metalcore pedal (shitty I know) + a GE 7 after to get a decent enveloppe and sound and the result is really not bad compared to this. Again only for demos.. hehe

  • How do you get your drum tone? The guitar alone actually didn't sound that good, so I presume that the trick is in the tone of the drums, maybe the bass even?

  • ola ,, parabens pelo som!!! quero baixar esse efeito mais o link nao ta dando certo, poste em outro link por favor!

  • this dsnt sound like that unless you use guitar hack

  • cool preset, thanks alot

  • Listen this first attempt on mixing metal music kind like heaven shall burn do in their albums... Better versions will follow soon. ENJOY! /watch?v=MoWA_XqykIM

  • Did you use impulses with these settings?

  • Great sound

  • sounds fucking great! nice to know i wont have to ship my 5150 across the other side of the world. keep up the good work.

  • the link doesn't load for me so i'm wondering if you removed the preset from your dropbox. any help please?

  • thx !!!

  • sweet riff

  • How do I open these in Amplitube 3?

  • @MrGuitarrica

    Hey,

WIndows 7 : Copy the file to IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 3\Presets

Click in Amplitube "Click here to load a preset" and use themetal, :)

  • How can I download this preset and use it Im using a mac.

  • are you using impulses for this tone? if so which ones?

  • listen if you like my attempt creating heavy metal guitar tone with poulin legion /watch?v=SQw03E-9p3o

  • Ello! I need some advice... I have downloaded this Amplitube 3, and I need to know exactly what else I need in order to get my guitar plugged in and working so I can digitally create some tunes. Can you help? ta

  • @7thS0Nofa7thS0N you'll need an audio interface, a cable to plugin your guitar and a DAW program like Cubase, Reaper and so to run amplitube. Or you can run the standalone version of amplitube that don't needs a host like Reaper or cubase to function through

  • @zampination Cool so this audio interface, would that count as one of those Stealthplugs? Also, what's the difference between the standalone option and using a DAW program??

  • @7thS0Nofa7thS0N No, an audio interface comes with many inputs/outputs and midi connections and stuff so you will be able to record anything from a 2 man group(guitar, vocals at once for example) to a full rock band and so depending on the audio interface... And all that without any delay time to the recorded signal. Some audio interfaces have effects like stealthplug. With stealthplug you can connect only one instrument to your pc and record only that. With lower sound quality i quess

  • horrible, software modelling will never sound good. far too digital sounding

  • @s3177000 Listen to Fractal's Axe FX and tell me that sounds horrible!

  • @AerialSpaceCacti yea, minus axe fx. all of these pods etc are just a poor mans axefx.

  • It's fake. Totally fake, this doesn't exist !

  • Comment removed

  • This is not 5150 tone "hit chaser"

  • I'm sick of these fake Demos, where the sound is the result of massive post processing only. And guess what, that MF will never tell you, how he did it!

  • @cpttinituz I just don't see the point in me putting up unprocessed clips when 1. there's hundreds of those samples on Youtube and Amplitube's site already and 2. someone could just download the demo and test it for themselves.

I could upload a rough sample in 10 mins, would be a heck of a lot easier and quicker than creating this "fake demo" that's for sure! But again, it seems pointless since it's already well and truly covered. The goal here is to show the amp sims' potential in a mix.

  • @fearcomplexmusic im glad u explained 2 every1 that this is attainable sound in recording with the program..

  • @fearcomplexmusic hey man, i love your videos. I wanted to know what kind of sound card you use and also, i'm a newbie in MAO language and recording software. Do you have some good tutorials? I really love your sound

  • @Edseldopydope Hey I use an m-audio profire 2626 interface. It's a great unit, I'd recommend the 610 if you don't need the 8 mic inputs though. If you find something like that a bit expensive then I recommend a line 6 toneport, they're decent affordable devices that come with it's own amp sim software, Pod Farm.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Thanks dude. Is there a huge sound difference between the profire 2626 and the 610? I'm looking for something in purpose to self-record EP and LP with my band so i need something sounding good. And the sound you got in your videos are quite interesting

  • @Edseldopydope The 2626 has more mic inputs, otherwise the 610 is the same. If you only need an interface for guitars and wont be tracking drums then the 610 is the way to go!

  • @fearcomplexmusic Hey dude that sounds great. For my part, I use M-audio delta 66 and I dunno if it's a good sound card for recording. That would be great is you can review it and send me a feedback. Sorry for my english, I french. I have some difficulty to get good sound with guitar rig (good metal tone)

  • @fearcomplexmusic hah sweet, was just thinking oh he's put up a download link, and this sounds awesome, hope my interface works well with it.. and I have a 2626. What guitar/pickups you use? I've noticed they make quite a difference.

  • @sonicwingnut Oh yeah they make a huge difference! Guitar is an ESP Eclipse, EMG 81 pickup.

  • @fearcomplexmusic ah right, yeah bit different to mine, I'm rockin a Kent Armstrong Motherbucker and a Toni Iommi Special, both very loud passive pups.

  • @fearcomplexmusic hell yeah man, i love my profire2626, i second fearcomplexmusic's recommendation. really clean clear pres

  • @fearcomplexmusic Nice effort man, very nice!

  • @fearcomplexmusic "The goal here is to show the amp sims' potential in a mix.", YOU'RE RIGHT! But... give us some tips... what frequencies you cut/boost... how you use compressor... PLEASE? :)

  • @cpttinituz I like them fininshed, they sound nice, and show what could/will be done with this. How about you make some? Id like to see it/.

  • @cpttinituz I agree... there is no output level or input level showing during the video. Just screen shots when nothing is being played thru the amp... i have Amplitude 3 with everything activated including the whole custom shop! Some things sound good, some things i can reproduce, and some things i cannot!

  • @cpttinituz check my page if you want to hear unprocessed crap the video is called amplitube 3 - 5150 model - Holy diver test.

  • @cpttinituz its called layer a couple of guitar tracks and put a compressor on it haha

  • @cpttinituz

Hey this is not fake, i tested this just recently.....the power of this mix is the drums in combination with the guitar.

  • @cpttinituz

Well, he have uploaded the preset....i think its more then enough. How fun is it if everyone that downloaded this would sound exacly the same?, thats why he only give us the preset.....so you can change and tweak the sound to fit your needs! (Mix).

There is no BEST sound or...golden heavy metal sound. Its about making everything sound good together.

Thank you fearcomplexmusic for the preset!

    / Peace

  • @cpttinituz ur sock? fuck off.

  • @cpttinituz It takes years and years of hard work to perfect mixing and mastering techniques. It's a process you have to develop on your own. I don't think it will help if any professional mixer gives their method away because it's always going to be dynamic. There's no solid structure in post processing.

  • @cpttinituz

Why don't you figure it out yourself!! You're not paying him to tell you, so fuck off!!

  • @cpttinituz Amplitube isnt their for playing guitar, but for recording guitar. Get that into your brain, you moron!

What sense would there be showing what a great sounding playing guitar sound you get, when every sound in a mix totally crushes it? Line 6 Pod Farm does that, for example. I think its great to get an idea what amplitube is capable of in a professional way, and that is recording. If your going for live, get Axe FX, cheaper than a good Laptop + Amplitube 3 itself.

  • Great tone. Have you tried Soldano SLO-100 model for Amplitube?

    I think it's nice too.

  • would this link work if i had amplitube metal?

  • was there any post processing for this clip?..i can never seem to get my sound as rich as your final results...

  • @xntrickk Hey yeah I'm pretty sure there was a lot of post processing on this. I put it up over a year ago though so can't remember exactly what. The usual low and high boosts with some cuts around 4khz was likely, maybe some harmonic exciter in Ozone.

  • It's amazing all the gear and tones out there today. It seems you have to be a computer whiz to get all this stuff working properly, not to mention endless hours tweaking. Lots of versatility for sure, but nothing compares to the sound, feel, and simplicity of a tube amp. I guess I'm just old school and would rather spend more time actually playing guitar than scrolling through menus and dealing with computer issues. Lots of people love this stuff, but it's not for me.

  • hey bro, how do you made to have a clean sound of guitar like this ? thx

  • that's actually pretty good for modelling..

  • whats ur guitar pickup setup???

  • I like Amplitube but it's always pretty CPU intensive when I use it...

Also, I'd like to congratulate you on being on of the few people on this planet that can actually program drums realistically.

  • You have to have a good computer to move the buffer settings up too..Makes all the differance...I went from a junk laptop with Amp 3 on it to a i5 desktop and it was night and day...

  • Hey man, i'm so in love with your vids. I was wondering what kind of software you were using to record your sounds and what was your sound card cool iy sounds really fuckin awesome. Greet~

  • wow this tone sounds so badass. I want my money and time back for all the years I've spent fuckin around with amps. Can't wait to try amplitude with a gibson lespaul and emgs

  • wow this tone sounds so badass. I want my money and time back for all the years I've spent fuckin around with amps.

  • the link in the description is a xml-file :s

  • what are you using for drums?

  • @ChaosDawning Hey you use the noise gate by adjusting the threshold knob at the bottom.

  • Nice, Thank you for sharing

  • hey dude, love the track, how did you record the bass

  • my amplitube works but only in standalone mode :( every time i try to load it ni fruity loops it get an error message and crashes both amplitube and fl....PLEASE HELP ME!!!!1

  • DUDE CAN I GET THE WHOLE SONG FOR THIS>>>ITS SICK MAN!!!

  • wow i amazed that you got this kinda sound out of amplitube 3. ive had the amplitube 3 demo for about 4 days now and all i can seem to get is fuzzy, lo-fi sounding distortion. is there something obvious im missing?

  • @filppilp2 What's your guitar/pickup situation. Pickups in particular are very important, also adjust the input level in amplitube so it's almost hitting the red but not.

  • @fearcomplexmusic I have a gibson les paul with alnico 3 pickups. ill try that input level thing.

  • @filppilp2 I know exactally what your issue is. You are having Input/output/ routing issues from your guitar in, through your operating system/asio drivers to Guitar rig. You need to play around with audio card settings, volume levels, and the ASIO driver settings till you get it working, what you are getting is a partially sampled signal from guitar rig, but are hearing mostly clipping Dry input signal. GR4 dosn't know which inputs and ASIO settings to use. Gaurentee this is your issue. IC.

  • @filppilp2 Try using amplitube with cabinet impulses.

  • @filppilp2 it depends on how good you can mix/master tones...

  • Which guitar/pups did you use? Awesome sound man

  • @Frambusjt Thanks, I use an esp eclipse II with emg 81 pickups.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Ah ye I wondered why it didnt sound so great on my guitar but I've got EMG81s too. I then discovered that multi-tracking, and adding drums and bass seems to make the guitar sound a lot better. Really learned a lot from your channel, so thank you for that :)

  • is there a bass recording in this?

  • @guitargod162 Yep there's a di bass track in there.

  • fudge. I really want this preset. I don't know how to download it. whenever I click the link a bunch of random letters and numbers and symbols pop up. help someone!

  • @bunghole155 i saw another video with the same comment....strange.

  • @bunghole155 The pictures in the video show the actual settings so you could just copy them.

  • @fearcomplexmusic - I did - I copied the exact settings that you had and it sounds like shit still. could you perhaps post another link to the preset? I know alot of other people on here are asking for it also and we would all REALLY appreciate it =)

  • podfarm vs amplitube, which one wins in your opinion?

  • @hideki12345 amplitube I made a recording with it and it rules. I play a 5150 through a mesa cab but still think the simulator sounded good

  • @snapascrew

heard good things so far. right now Im using podfarm for recording my music and Im looking for something new. podfarm is pretty much all I need but still Id like to try some things

  • @hideki12345 pm me your email. I've got a recording of KsE's holy diver. every time we did a new track we did different settings for the track so the left rhythm track is huge and sounds very nice, the right has less bass and more mids... together (luckly) it's a nice mix... we just forgot the settings! then there's the lead setting!

  • sounded good but, NOTHING like my 5150. mine's bias modified as well though and that does sound like a 6505+ which is almost the same amp.

  • Wich soundcard do you use? A firewire? Wich?

  • This sounds like Aeon.. awesome!

  • Dude please i freaking want that preset its fuckin awesome!

  • is that link the preset to this sound (: ???

  • i cant copy the preset :( any ideas? awesome sound by the way dude \m/

  • my setup pro tools and rack 003 - KEfir is VST anyway to get it to work in protools?

if not have you used TL space or wave IR1 or even Mellowmuse IR I believe those all support RTAS(any suggested settings for their ctrls) . I havent made a purchase yet I want something simple and with no learning curve or a million pots. the Kefir looks so simple in the tutorial I would like to use that if at all possible

  • Hey sounds killer I am just looking into using impusle responses to get some decent guitars in my mixes. My current DAW and Interface are Protools and 003 rack+ - Im having trouble with the convolver I have not purchased one yet, but want something simple like the KEfir plug, unfortuneately its VST and not RTAS is there any way to get kefir to work with pro tools? I know there are converters out there. anyway the whole idea is to not have a big learning curve with something like TL space ctrls

  • i just cant beleive this omg, is this really an amp sim?.

  • fuck yeah man. sounds incredible. i might just have to get amplitube 3.

  • Whenever I hit a string all i get is this high pitch noise and some weird distortion regardless of what amp or mic or anything. Even when I go up and down the fret board it still gives me the same noise it doesnt even change pitch. Is it my computer? Im only using an i3 laptop and i wonder if thats the issue.

  • @stuff3 Go to audio/midi setup, and and the bottom of the options menu, it should say 'Buffer'. Click the drop arrow and choose the highest value. It should buff up the guitar signal. This is how i got mine to work

  • i got Amplitube 3 and download your preset but it doesnt sound as good, Theres a nice Stereo feel to your sound, what program did you use to record and what preset and VST pluginns?

  • @MartyHITD try to double track it, pan left 100% pan right 100%

  • hey thanks for this buddy! appreciate this awesome tone and will definitely utilize it!

  • What drums are you using to get the awesome drum tones? Really like them too! Thanks!!

  • @jacquesokes I think it was superior drummer 2

  • @fearcomplexmusic I like EzDrummber

  • @Sensativity hell yeah you do!

  • does anyone know how I could get this tone?

    watch?v=I2hFL4kFUxk

  • tone is sexy. 8 string? I've tried to record with it, it sounds shitty with my interface. Which interface would you recommend that's pretty low cost?

  • @DoubleEdgedSword12 Any of those budget usb interfaces should do the job, I used to own a line 6 toneport and it sounded fine.

  • @fearcomplexmusic hmmm...my toneport sounds like crap though for amplitube 3.........meh

  • @fearcomplexmusic I was wondering if this software would work with my Line 6 Toneport. Thank you!

  • @fluff191 Yes I used it with a toneport in this clip.

  • holy fuck thats soo sexy

  • how do i get this patch in my ipod touch ?

  • Are the settings I am hearing the same as the pictures? This tone is very impressive, I've been struggling a while with good metal tones (though I can do fine with low-gain and mid-gain)

I tried using the patch from the dropbox but I don't know how to open the at3p file with amplitube.

  • @BlueBarrier782 You have to put the patch in your amplitube presets folder or yeah the settings are in the pics.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Hmm...

I tried putting the patch file in my presets folder but when I open up amplitube it doesn't appear.

I think I have my settings right based on the pics, but it sounds very grainy and fizzy...

Anyway I could hear just the guitar track?

Sorry, I don't mean to bug you it's just I didn't think I could use Amplitube for good metal tones until I heard this video. Now its really bugging me haha.

  • @BlueBarrier782 Are you watching your input level in amplitube? Too low and it'll be too weak sounding, too high and it'll clip/distort. I don't have these guitar tracks anymore sorry. Also, there's 4 guitar tracks, 2 panned left, 2 right. Makes a BIG difference.

  • @fearcomplexmusic Yes I am watching the input level. I changed it a little so that it wasn't quite as weak.

You are right the 4 tracks, 2 panned left and 2 panned right makes a large difference.

You didn't happen to do any post eq/compression or something like that?

  • Still a bit screechy for my ears, needs a post EQ adjustment, best tone I've heard from VST's is still Peavey Revalver.

  • could you please upload it somewhere else? I'm having trouble to dl in my country..

    Amazing sound bro

  • no way it's a simulation amp!!!!!!

  • Dont expect the truth from the official IK-Multimedia channel, they censor and block anyone who legitimately criticizes this product.

  • Which interface do you using?

  • FUCK !! SHOW US THE CABLES AND PLAYING TO SEE WITH OUR EYES !!!

  • are you using a DI box to record with your interfrace ?

  • @akirock123 no di box, just the interface's instrument input

  • wow this is f***in awesome!!!

  • No F* Way... This stuff is pure amplitube? No live amps or cabs?

  • @cikane that's right, no amps or cabs, just amplitube!

  • @fearcomplexmusic how do you record? usb interface, firewire, or mic in?? im new to this stuff

  • @bythewaysideguitar I've used a usb line 6 toneport in the past, now using a firewire m-audio profire 2626

  • This is by far the best Amplitube tone I've ever heard, really makes me want to buy Amplitube metal...

  • how do you add patches and presets to amplitube?
