  • Kick ass song..!!

  • f'n love this song and album

  • Fucking Awesome, And they still sound fuckin nice

  • I prefer LOVE/HATE, but its good too :)

  • @GeorgeSoui LOVE/HATE is awesome!!!!!

  • @Sirscorps Yes ! LOVE/HATE is seriously one of my favorite band ! The feeling I have when I listen to this is indescriptible ! Any other band do me this effect ! We always feel like we are with them !

  • why isn't this band not all that well known? they're one of the first hair bands i ever heard and i have loved their music for a long time. their drummer had a very underrated band called vanilla fudge that's worth checking out

  • @waysted199 he was also in Cactus, check them out!

  • Pretty sure the guitars are using the "rockman distortion generator"...developedin 1982 by Tom Sholz, guitarist of the band Boston... the rockman was the shit back then...

  • @sketcherboi I think you're spot on, it has that certain tone....is "compressed" the word i'm thinkin' of??

  • wasnt carmine appice in this band?

  • guitar sound is fuckin unreal

  • Appice on drums !!!

  • Wore out this tape back in the day !! Loved Free's vocals.

  • True metal of 80's! \m/ Guitar intro is fucking amazing.

  • The guitar intro....incredible.... what a way to start out a song... then it just blows u away with the song's beginning.....! Yeah, i'm ready to strike today!! Rock on!! \m/

  • sexy Johnny Rod iz my favorite King Kobra!!! :oD

  • It's all about Carmine Appice.

  • AMEN!!

  • When did it start becoming "hair metal"? We never called it that in the 80's. It was just metal/rock n' roll.

    Oh yeah....marketing.

  • @Sirscorps True, but it seems as if what you know and what I like to call as "Metal" has been hi-jacked by today's standards, and its been manipulated into a bunch of bullshit.....This is Hairmetal, AKA our last hope for real music....

  • @PRPWR "Hair Metal" is a marketing phrase. As if "metal" bands in the 70's never had long hair, lol. THAT'S what makes "Hair Metal" a useless phrase for 1980's rock n' roll. Plus, if we went by that standard, then Megadeth, Anthrax, Death Angel, Fates Warning, AC/DC, Anvil, UFO, Iron Maiden, etc....are all "Hair Metal" as well, lol.

  • @Sirscorps

lol call it what you will...Whatever name you give it, doesn't matter to me. The music is all that counts! This kind of Metal is so awesome...Wish there was more....

  • @Sirscorps Not really, that's just to indentify the kinds of metal, ac/dc is Heavy metal, or hard rock, Megadeth , anthrax and things like that are trash metal, UFO is hard rock, Iron maiden heavy metal, and etc.. there is a difference between these kinds of metal, that's why they have different name, nothing about marketing

  • @DrummerCruehead tHrash metal NOT trash....

  • @FrequenzaDisturbata Yeah, sorry kkkk' my mistake

  • @Sirscorps I hope ;D

  • @DrummerCruehead You can't deny that marketers (especially in the US) love to put things in catagories.

I've never considered AC/DC "metal" because a lot of their stuff is based on 50's rock n' roll (especially Bon era) although the "power chord" aspect did help lead to 80's heavy metal (Accept, Megadeth, etc...)

No big deal though, good music is good music.

    /& especially the music biz.

  • @Sirscorps Yeah, sure, I'm not denying that man, Just saying that this ain't marketers job..

  • @Sirscorps I consider AC/DC, Heavy metal, cause although they have influences in blues, just like, black sabbath, and led zeppelin, and bands like that, they have that rough sound that designs metal.. It's like, a rough blues, and that's what's heavy metal, especially 70's metal.. because, after that, the heavy metal bands started to influence the next bands, not the blues, so it got rougher and faster, and it divided in lots of different ways ; so, for that, we have different names

  • @DrummerCruehead Cheers, man! You're spot on.

  • Gold 75 Grand Torino with an Alpine stereo, pioneer 6970, punch 10" sub and two punch 45 amps as loud as that fucker would go. Great Song brings back memories

  • I love it.

  • maybe u shud add more tags.. it's rare and with tags like that, ppl will never find it! Great fucking metal!!!!! \m/

  • We saw them at the hollywod paladium in the 80s and we were at the front and my bro was like hey and reached is hand out to shake the singers hand and the dude wouldn't let go and was singing to him, my bro was like hey, hey and jerked his hand away from the guy... good memories

  • : I just saw Carmine with MSG on Friday and he was amazing...!! Look for my videos of the show to be posted including a bad ass drum solo by Carmine. Metal Forever...!!

  • Carmine Appice is GOD

  • Solid tune!!!

  • What a kik azz, bad azz sound......... it has a feel good sound to it, kinda like Rocky. ha It makes u feel like u can conquer anything, anyone...!! One of my favorite KK songs..!! The guitar solo, at the beginning.... awesome!!! \m/

  • What happened to this band? The first album was great, then the second sucked. I couldnt find "ready to strike" CD anywhere during the 90s. Thanks for posting these.

  • @achillesdave The lead singer got a sex change and in the late 80's or early 90's, that pretty much ended your time as a rock and roller.

  • @achillesdave WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUY IT ??? IT´HARD TO FIND

  • My dad introduced me to this band. I like the beats, trippy.

  • This is a very cool heavy metal work out tune from a very mediocre hair band with a famous anchor/ drummer.

  • Sounds Great,,2 Thumbs Up !!!

  • this is a great band, underrated bands are the best, and to me freash and not tanated by the posion of popularity.

  • reminds me a hell of a lot of Scorpions (early) kick ass stuff, boy did they change when they made Iron Eagle haha :)

    //Benn

  • have all there vinyl . killer rock!

  • Any live videos around of them. I read a concert review of someone who said this was best band they ever saw, and this was someone who saw all the metal bands in the 80s.

  • @alcoyot I saw them twice. I was not that impressed with them live. Appice was incredible of course but Marc Free, who was lead vocals then, sounded horrible. In my humble opinion they were a far better studio band. Then again I only saw them twice and any band can have an off day.

  • @deeps32470 hmm, that's interesting. I would have thought Free was one of the better musicians in the band. There are a bunch of videos on utube of him peforming solo live and it sounds great. It could have been something with the PA system, or maybe he just didn't develop his talent until later.

  • esta cancion es fantastica el disco es increible y el grupo fue muy bueno este su primer disco fue de lo mejor de la epoca aun suena fresco y potente geniales

  • @oldetymeMETAL

trivializing and arguing is a type of fighting.

  • muy buena rola

  • Hair metal is BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @imagesk8r6969 gay hairy style, sucks !!!

  • @imagesk8r6969 why they look like womans ?

  • @mortemvocals well their singer got a sex change.

  • @imagesk8r6969 Hair Metal has never been gone!

  • great underrated band and song my favorite song on the album /,,//,,/

  • Thx for sending Diopriest, I liked it. /,,/ /,,/

  • Man I saw these guys open up for Kiss back in the mid eighties. They opened with this song and they kicked ass!!!!!!!

  • Fuckin' love it! I was in junior high the first time I heard this song.. Still makes me feel ready to strike..

  • mick sweda is very underated

  • sounds alot like icon , good stuff

  • yea reminds me of out for blood with the intro like that

  • maybe he now she likes being fucked, was a great band by the way

  • Fucking idiot.. Who gives a shit? - It's the Music that matters, not if the singer has a dick or not. Jesus. People like you, and lackia67 makes me ashamed of being a human being. I give my full support, and Respect to Marcie Free, one of the best singers in history! FEW singers sing with THAT much heart and soul, emotions and touch, as she does.

  • Although the story is true, theirs something being left out that isn't being told, Mark Free was a hermaphrodite, for those don't know what that is I shall explain, He (Mark Free) was born with both sexes, the dominant sex being female, notice the "Her" in the word, this why he never dressed in the same room with the rest of the band, listen to the lyrics, he often dropped hints, also if you look at pictures of him, especially those with dark settings you can't

tell if 'He's' a man or woman.

  • fuckin pants mate

  • the most underrated band of the 80's

  • Amen. I think most people saw the look of this band and never gave them a chance. But they not only rocked they were all great musicians...Mark Free had range and a voice that was unheard of in metal....Mick Sweda was very under rated guitarist. Johnny Rod although not the best technical bass player was a crazy man and one of the best showmen around....crazy ball of energy on stage. And of course the legendary Carmine Appice on the drums.

  • I have a King Kobra show, It was recorded in Mexico, at the "Festival de la Amistad" back in 1986.

These guys kick ass, and Mark Free was a great

    frontman.

  • to bad he is marcie free now...

  • in all fairness, their look had nothing to do with it glam was big back in the 80s, just got lost in the shuffle i guess!

  • dominp - I dont agree i think its because they never did a video. I rememer seeing Jhonny Rod joining WASP & when appice was in Blue Murder with Jhon skies from whitesnake. thats when i First heard of them, on MTV

  • They did a few videos...just never got much airplay. There is a video for Hunger..their very first single on youtube here, look it up.

And if the first time you heard of Carmine Appice was Blue Murder then you dont know your rock history very well.

  • Yeah well that was Back in 1989! 20 yrs ago!

Sorry but vanillafudge & KingKobra were NOT Big. However i knew of vinnie appice in 1985

and have learn alot since then so Dont say I dont know "Rock History" well.

  • Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Beck, Bogert & Appice, studio sessions with Paul Stanley, Pink Floyd, Ted Nugent, etc.

He goes way back farther then 1985, try late 1960....He is one of the most historical and influencial drummers in rock n roll history.

Ask most heavy metal listeners who their fav drummer is and they will prob say neil peart or Lars Ulrich....ask rock drummers who their favs is and Carmine Appice is almost always at the top.

  • nice! Ya, I remember Carmine from the "Blondes Have More Fun" days with Rod Stewart.

  • Oh btw Im not the one saying you dont know rock history very well.....You are, by admitting you didnt know of Carmine Appice before 1989

  • OG BIG frigin deal! you knew who carmine appice was in 82 - before 1989

    heres your ((GOLD MEDAL)) faggot

  • thank you :)

    *does victory dance

  • WTF! you talking about!?

some dumb reject said i didnt know about Rock & Roll, because i didnt know who appice

was in 85, BIG FUKIN DEAL!

    RE READ the argument!

  • Your right, my bad..... I meant it at the dude who was talking to you. I'll repost lol. Sorry dude.

  • he was talented, something yyou dont find nowadays i a guitarist but i work with other players so i an apreciate the talent of a good player
