@Sirscorps Yes ! LOVE/HATE is seriously one of my favorite band ! The feeling I have when I listen to this is indescriptible ! Any other band do me this effect ! We always feel like we are with them !
why isn't this band not all that well known? they're one of the first hair bands i ever heard and i have loved their music for a long time. their drummer had a very underrated band called vanilla fudge that's worth checking out
Pretty sure the guitars are using the "rockman distortion generator"...developedin 1982 by Tom Sholz, guitarist of the band Boston... the rockman was the shit back then...
The guitar intro....incredible.... what a way to start out a song... then it just blows u away with the song's beginning.....! Yeah, i'm ready to strike today!! Rock on!! \m/
@Sirscorps True, but it seems as if what you know and what I like to call as "Metal" has been hi-jacked by today's standards, and its been manipulated into a bunch of bullshit.....This is Hairmetal, AKA our last hope for real music....
@PRPWR "Hair Metal" is a marketing phrase. As if "metal" bands in the 70's never had long hair, lol. THAT'S what makes "Hair Metal" a useless phrase for 1980's rock n' roll. Plus, if we went by that standard, then Megadeth, Anthrax, Death Angel, Fates Warning, AC/DC, Anvil, UFO, Iron Maiden, etc....are all "Hair Metal" as well, lol.
lol call it what you will...Whatever name you give it, doesn't matter to me. The music is all that counts! This kind of Metal is so awesome...Wish there was more....
@Sirscorps Not really, that's just to indentify the kinds of metal, ac/dc is Heavy metal, or hard rock, Megadeth , anthrax and things like that are trash metal, UFO is hard rock, Iron maiden heavy metal, and etc.. there is a difference between these kinds of metal, that's why they have different name, nothing about marketing
@DrummerCruehead You can't deny that marketers (especially in the US) love to put things in catagories.
I've never considered AC/DC "metal" because a lot of their stuff is based on 50's rock n' roll (especially Bon era) although the "power chord" aspect did help lead to 80's heavy metal (Accept, Megadeth, etc...)
@Sirscorps I consider AC/DC, Heavy metal, cause although they have influences in blues, just like, black sabbath, and led zeppelin, and bands like that, they have that rough sound that designs metal.. It's like, a rough blues, and that's what's heavy metal, especially 70's metal.. because, after that, the heavy metal bands started to influence the next bands, not the blues, so it got rougher and faster, and it divided in lots of different ways ; so, for that, we have different names
Gold 75 Grand Torino with an Alpine stereo, pioneer 6970, punch 10" sub and two punch 45 amps as loud as that fucker would go. Great Song brings back memories
We saw them at the hollywod paladium in the 80s and we were at the front and my bro was like hey and reached is hand out to shake the singers hand and the dude wouldn't let go and was singing to him, my bro was like hey, hey and jerked his hand away from the guy... good memories

What happened to this band? The first album was great, then the second sucked. I couldnt find "ready to strike" CD anywhere during the 90s. Thanks for posting these.
Any live videos around of them. I read a concert review of someone who said this was best band they ever saw, and this was someone who saw all the metal bands in the 80s.
@alcoyot I saw them twice. I was not that impressed with them live. Appice was incredible of course but Marc Free, who was lead vocals then, sounded horrible. In my humble opinion they were a far better studio band. Then again I only saw them twice and any band can have an off day.
@deeps32470 hmm, that's interesting. I would have thought Free was one of the better musicians in the band. There are a bunch of videos on utube of him peforming solo live and it sounds great. It could have been something with the PA system, or maybe he just didn't develop his talent until later.
esta cancion es fantastica el disco es increible y el grupo fue muy bueno este su primer disco fue de lo mejor de la epoca aun suena fresco y potente geniales

Dudes the singer of this band had a sex change done and is now a fucking girl HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not kidding. Heard it from a show on VH1 called The Metal Show yesterday. I guess he lost his king cobra Fucking weird mother fucker.

I give my full support, and Respect to Marcie Free, one of the best singers in history! FEW singers sing with THAT much heart and soul, emotions and touch, as she does.
Although the story is true, theirs something being left out that isn't being told, Mark Free was a hermaphrodite, for those don't know what that is I shall explain, He (Mark Free) was born with both sexes, the dominant sex being female, notice the "Her" in the word, this why he never dressed in the same room with the rest of the band, listen to the lyrics, he often dropped hints, also if you look at pictures of him, especially those with dark settings you can't
Amen. I think most people saw the look of this band and never gave them a chance. But they not only rocked they were all great musicians...Mark Free had range and a voice that was unheard of in metal....Mick Sweda was very under rated guitarist.
