Actually the Hummer is way better in "Stock" form than any defender. I have seen stock Defendersw utterly fail in easy hill climbs that Hummers and even stock Jeeps made without difficulty.
Just a quick note to Hummer haters. The HMMWV is one of the best purpose built off road vehicles of all time. BUT you have to know how to drive it using the brake induced dif-lock option. When you do this it cannot be stopped. As far as the Defender goes, put bigger tires a lift and lockers and it is fine. In the configuration shown in the video, well, it is nowhere near as capable as an HMWWV. PERIOD. Land Rovers in stock configuration are not as good as a fully locked and lifted 4x4. PERIOD.

i have such a ninety (it's a pre-defender also in this vid)
they weigh 1.6tonnes softtop and 1.8 tonnes.
engine will be a 2.5 normal aspirated diesel or a turbo version with max of 80-ish bhp;) 67bhp for the normal aspiraded.
there is only a mechanical center diff lock, no rear or front lockers.
it's very good for crawling, but you may not go above 3rd gear low range, or the engine will die in a steep incline. i recently upgraded to a 200tdi, 111bhp and 265 nm ;)
i agree with pergazak THEY didn't show alot of footage of the 90 as they were trying to make the two cars look even... landrover every day.. mainly as the hummer probably spent 1000 dollars in fuel getting up the hill and the 90 virtually nothing...although i am american the british landy is the best offroad car.
The d-max is a good rliable car never left me down but in this video the footage of the d- max is limited whyyyyyyyy. is it because it performed beter than the rest.........

I agree with Hummvee21, and im glad that he is being very fare to land rover even thought he apperes buy his/your username to be a hummer fan. If you got off road tires then it would do a lot better. Also the landy is on 205 tires were it should have 235 or larger, so it reduces ground clearence. The isuzu as you say didnt stand a chance.
the H1 obviously the better vehicle in this video. the defender would have done much better with new off road tires, while the isuzu never stood a chance against the H1 or the defender.

anche io ho l'isuzu d-max 3.0 e ne sono contentissimo.
la macchina la uso per lavoro in montagna. ci trasporto fino a 12 quintali. e in salite da brivido non li sente proprio.
prima avevo una defender 110 ma mi ha dato troppi problemi. era sempre rotta ed inoltre non si arrampicava come il d-max.
