great playing little dude! just one tiny thing though, you seem to come down on the drums at an angle during fills, theres nothing wrong with that, but maybe if you strike the drum straight down you can get more control :) otherwise, it was a sweet performance, played

Hi Matthew. You are very talented. My son who is 7 started playing the drums at 6. His playing is not bad (he passed grade1 with distinction in June) , but you must have been brilliant at 7. Have you any tips for me to inspire my son to keep practicing. He still needs a bit of nagging to practice, even although he seems to love it when he gets going. I do not want to put him off the instrument by asking him to practice too much. Did your parents have to encourage you to practice at 7.

Hey Matt, I've been drumming for about two years and I've had a drum solo for the past 2 years for the school concert. I'm 11 years old about to turn 12 on July 13th. I still can't play fast notes with just my right hand or my left what do you think I should do? I have a Tama Imperial Star drum set and I'm going to get a double bass drum pedal for my Birthday. I can play Toxicity and Chop Suey on my drums. Do you know how I can get any better? Please tell me if you do. Thanks- Kayla :)

@TheWolves88 Your doing great so far! I would keep on practising playing quavers and semi-quavers for a few bars alternating hands along to a metronome, and then gradually taking the tempo up a little bit at a time. But dont rush it! make sure you can play at each tempo to perfection! I hope this helps :D
