Redstone can be used to make circuts to open doors, change minecart track and light up TNT. It is really complicated to make all the "gates" and use them effectively though. Hope that helps :)

Hey brysi don't be mining at bedrock( the stuff you can't break) and mine about 10 blocks above bedrock because diamond can spawn in layers 1-16 and it spawns more in layers 10-16. btw 1st layer above highest layer were theres bedrock is layer 5
