I have been a fan of your bass virtuosity for a long time....this video gives me another reason to be an even BIGGER fan! I love the reflected images! The music conjurs up images of Yes during the Drama era while maintaining a style of your own. Bravo!
I so love this. Every time i watch and hear it I notice another piece that delights me. Your bass solo towards the end is the receipt for years of passion and love for that Rick. The vocal harmonies smell as sweet as the Bulgarian Women's Choir and your distorted tailpiece and headstock reflections echo FOOW's inner gatefold photo of Chris in the car bumper. How wonderful.
@prohumanbeing Oh that's true about FOOW's inner gatefold. Un-intentional but... there's some linking between them. Thank you for listening, amigo Paul:)
Estou um bocado estupefacta... Adorei tudo.
this is awesome. just goes to show how a great bassist can add so much depth to a simple guitar riff with a good bassline. keep up the good work im lovin it!
I have an important question: what software have you used to create the video effect at 0:17 with three screens. I asked that because I want to upload a video where I play more than one instrument, and I'd like to have a similar effect!
This is totally flabbegasting! I'm following you already for some years but your talents are superfluently overflowing the lakes of my expectations! Man, you are so on top of it all. Bring that spirit out more more more...
@moneysecrets4U Happy you liked it! I'm slowly trying to put together some of my own compositions... well it takes much longer than a cover. Thanks for keeping supporting me!
Great song and voca harmonies, the beginning sounds a bit like Crimson. Do you like John Wetton work?. I downloaded all your bass covers: amazing work!

5-that was me praaaaahctiiiiiiceeeeeing how to unnaturally stretch that syllable - To be honest I was more thinking of a Bulgarian accent and meter (of the Bulgarian female choirs). I thought it sounded cool - the sound of the words (I'm also a fan of Chris' wide open vowels singing)
@luap1236 4-I was already told that I could put this on a better format for audio only, probably with some mixing adjustments... I need you and "all good people" here's suggestions on what would be the best way to make it available CD,itunes, etc.. anyway I will make an announcement soon.
@kelmaur probably the vocal harmonies? It ends up sounding that way, though as I said before I was thinking more of a Bulgarian choir kind of harmony. Queen is a very good reference as well and a band I really like a lot.
Congratulations Miguel. I enjoyed your original song. You are a very talented person, now I notice that you can play many instruments. What about keyboards? I would like to see you playing some McCartney stuff.
Receive a hug. Is there a way I can send you some of my compositions? Maybe you could make them better.
@Yesshows01 Thank you very much... I would gladly hear and comment your songs! I'm not sure - about changing them - they are yours... you don't think about presenting them here (for example)?
Yeah, good progressive song! Maybe the guitar is too much distorted (in some passages I don't understand the chords, they seem noise...) but I really love the bassline, reminds me of Chris Squire (that's a good thing =D). Good job!
@ale92LP Hi! Yes I recognize the guitar chords lose space, I am considering making a remix (for possible audio download) so your comments are quite welcome. Thank you very much
First part of the Bass line and sound is as some mentioned here kind of Geddy/ Rush style. Singing sound much more like YES and Trevor Rabin. Later part of the bass line is very Squire style!! I also think I see some inspiration from Bangles bass around 4:50.
Great song Miguel, put in iTunes and i buy it!!! :-)
@Dukered21 :) I'm curious, Guy - what about 4:50? :) I agree it has some flavours of some Yes-eras.. Guy, I'm a bit out of how those things work, but I may consider itunes.. @miguelbass Regarding iTunes. I've no idea how an artist put/ sell songs through iTunes, I just buy the music!! And your song is 100% something I'll like to buy!! :-)
Miguel...Great song! Fine playing on all the instruments as well as the vocals - but ,as usual, your Rickenbacker bass stands out. Would love to hear more originals. Keep `em coming! Any new Yes in the works? I'd still like to hear "Lift Me Up"! As always - thanks for sharing.
@ProcolHarum1967 Thank you very much, sir. It's my motivation and challenge... to try for the better. I can play some other instruments , of course with a more limited vocabulary. I hope that the essence will show up anyway, if there will be one. Thank you very much for watching
Wow, Miguel... I love your song. It's really outstanding on all levels, but of course the way your bass lines and tone are so like Chris Squire excites me the most! I could hear this on a YES album :) Excellent job my friend!
@ProgMom67 Thank you so much Julie :) That's a serious compliment. It's already great that you get the excitement/feeling. Meaning the message came through :)
Great !! Only crit would be to thin your cymbal mix occasionally to let your individual instruments (especially the Rick!) shine through and carry the melody. Really tasty opening lyrics!
Great !! Only crit would be to thin your mix occasionally to let you individual instruments (especially the Rick!) shine through and carry the melody.
@markkens9 Hi, thank you very much for the comments. I appreciate the mixing comments. It was very exhausting and it's very likely that in the end I could wait some more to rest my ears for the mixing, that wasn't the case. Eventually I may release some alternate mix. Someone suggested I would put this on some download format (ex itunes) ... that would be a good occasion to do it.
Outstanding job. You will likely get some comparisons with Rush and Yes (not bad to get this!) , but this is very original. Meaningful lyrics, and creative video on the instrument reflections that support the song's message. Congratulations.
@LesGomez Hi Les, I like the comparisons, I agree with you that it's a positive thing. Not in the sense of "copying". It's not now that I will deny the artists mentioned here, some of which I always loved. It's a good contagiousness, imo. Thank you very much for your words.
