0:05 - Sega brought Columns to Nintendo's Game Boy Advance portable gaming system as a port to the original Genesis classic. The GBA version of Columns was still out of print but you could buy it also for the DS Lite just to take it anywhere and play it outside in the open air without lugging the model 1 Genesis or the Genesis version of Columns around.

@Daniel16544 Blast processing refers to Sega's processor that  runs at 7.61 MHz in PAL consoles and 7.67 MHz in NTSC consoles,which was a technical miracle back in 1988 when megadrive/genesis was released. Snes had processor that runs at 3.58 MHz,even if it had 2 years more in development,but it did had more colors and better sound...

I love the Super Nintendo and NES, but I would choose the Genesis over them any day. The game library of the SNES and NES had a lot of generic platformers, fighting games, and racing games that just made it seem like there wasn't a lot of genre variety on the systems. Either way all 3 are excellent and definitely the top 3 greatest systems ever.

@therangersrule68 I'd say they were both equal. Each had a ton of quality exclusives. Snes had Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island, and Chrono Trigger. Genesis had Rocket Knight Adventures, Streets of Rage, Aladin, and Truxton. While some games had better sound quality and graphics on Snes, the same game on Genesis played alot smoother

When you look at it from far away, the 16-bit era was nothing but mascot platformers and SFII/MK ripoffs. When you look closer, you start to see the details stand out. It wouldn't be a leap to say the same thing applies to the FPS genre. The more familiar you are with a genre, the more you're able to distinguish what others would see as a generic mass. How versed are you when it comes to the first person shooter?
