@TheAco249 1st of all, this is ONLY for windows 7 starter and windows 7 home basic, so it's your fault your computer got screwed up. as i said in previous posts, windows 7 ultimate already has personalization panel. 2nd, relax, you only have to install your drivers, that's why your resolution is stuck at 800x600 and 3rd, i recommend you to learn more english.

@TheAco249 depending on what video card you have, you must install the appropriate driver. luckily there are 2 main graphic card vendors, which are amd and nvidia. go to their site and download the driver accordingly to your card. you should afterwards change your resolution to whichever you want.

I Followed All The Instructions Above, And It Did Work For A Few Days Then I Got To Restart My Computer Today, When The System Restore Window Opened And Started. It Removed All The Programs I Downloaded As Said Above, As They Make My Computer Slow.Now, The Scheme Became The Windows Classic Style, Which Is Really Annoying, And Problem Is, When I Open The"Change Color Scheme"From Control Panel, Windows 7 Basic Scheme Is Not There Anymore. @Nadoosh3110 i need to know which one of the methods you used to enable aero and as for the downloaded programs, my advice is to re-download them. try using the second way of enabling aero and see if it helps. let me know

It works for a couple of hours but after i restarted my pc it went to windows classic and whenever i choose any windows theme nothing happens.I also noticed whenever i click Aero.msstyles i dont see any windows 7 as a choice in there. I only have windows classic.Im not sure if that is the problem there.I got Windows Home Basic

the reason aero enabler doesn't work is that you don't have .net framework installed. you can either install it and then run aero enabler, or you can just follow the link to the registry hack i mentioned in the other posts

first of all check that you replaced the aero.msstyles, second check if you installed all the programs needed, third...try restarting your computer. my question is....umm...why didn't you try the other method ?

there are 2 methodes, the one described here is the older one, and quite difficult to achieve. the second one is in the first link in the description, you just download it and install it, then restart your computer

this should work on win7 starter too, but instead of using aero enabler, use this registry file windows7themes[dot]net/downloa­­d/registry/enableAero.reg

don't forget to disable uxsms first. try it and post back

Hey when i replace aero.msstyle in themes/aero and then go to change color scheme there's no windows standard or basic option only classic and those black and white theme. And when i open personalization panel it shows error "personalization panel by winreview.ru has stopped working" ..................... any idea why isn't there win standarf or basic option n y does not personalization panel works. n i have also patched my files by universal theme patcher............ please help....... please..

that's the problem, you can't change it back to dwm.exe because all windows will get screwed up and the only way to change it back is by booting from a live cd, if you know how to do that

you have to install the .net framework 4 in order to use aero enabler, google it, you can find it on microsoft homepage. there is, however a more simpler approach that i discovered after i made this video. go to windows7themes[dot]net/downloa­d/registry/enableAero.reg and then just double click it and press YES.

Hey the aero.msstyle file in homebasicaero folder (BY MISTAKE) has been pasted in C:\windows\Resources\Themes\ and overwrite the original file..... Now there's no windows standard or windows basic option in Start > Control Panel > Display>Change color scheme and i have windows classic theme activated, there's no aero and not the default theme of windows i am in big trouble. I also have my brothers PC so i was thinking of overwriting of the aero.msstyle file but he has win 7u86bit i hv basic 64.

the reason why you can't use "hc1", "hc2", "hcblack", "hcwhite" and "classic" is that they all use windows classic theme that's used by pre-XP versions of windows and therefore do not have aero and/or transparency. thanks for the compliments, i'm not even from an english speaking country
