I feel like this is too pure and beautiful and perfect to be on the internet, or for me to be allowed to even attempt to describe it. It's so calming and tranquil and just completely pure somehow. I feel privileged to hear it, and I've never felt this about a song before.
This music is perfect for writing to. Not abrasive enough to distract me. Melodic, peaceful, and the bursts of tempo and build are perfect to inspire. Many thanks to the artists and to the person who posted it. :)
this is fuckinggggg me up... bringing out some things that lay dormant... haven't listened to this, completely forgotten that it even existed until now when i just noticed the familliar title..i feel like a lost little girl again;; =/
@MissHardyOfficial I know exactly what you mean - it's like you took the words right out of my mouth. This whole album does that to me. I love it but shit man...the time in my life where I listened to it all the time was a totally fucked up, lost time for me as well...
Honestly Bright Eyes is one of the greatest bands that I have heard thus far
pretty much the entire discography is amazing, every song a little different (or vastly in some cases) but all in all Connor's lyrics coupled with the amazing talent of the rest of the band have gotten me through some serious business stuff in the past couple of years. Just kind of glad I found them when I did :)
I've been so afraid to listen to his music for years.
I loved it when I was 14, before a lot of the kids I knew even began to find music they truly enjoyed.
Then I hit a point in my life when hearing his music just made me want to die, so I stopped listening.
Now I'm 20 years old, and I know for a fact that Conor Oberst is my single favorite musician ever, and I'm pissed that I let myself believe that these lyrics weren't beautiful.
I'm a musician as well, and I have to say, after listening to bright eyes, that I'm no musician I love how he can be off key, and its what makes his songs great. The rare rawity is just.. its like masturbation to the mind.
Yay first comment lmao..but that sad because this song is so beautful u would think ppl would flood this with comments...my best friend holly introduced me to bright eyes years ago and I've been a fan since...but I must say this song by far is my favorite..I can hear this on repeat for long time. I am happy u posted this song.. LOOOVEEEE THHHISSS SONNNGGG. LOLOL
@adamjcantu I too, find this song beautiful. His imagry is so intriguing and inspiring. Although, I must say that the last line has to be my favorite, perhaps of everything he's written. Thank you for commenting by the way, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Soon all the joy that pours from everything makes fountains of your eyes because you finally understand the movement of a hand waving good-bye.

I love the lyrics and emotion Conor puts into his music.
It's not really always my style of sound, but the words are
always beautiful, that's what hooks me to his songs.
His voice fits with it perfect.
The last sentence of this song is an all-time favorite.

Lack of comments on this scares me a bit. This song, along with Center of the World are my favorites of Bright Eyes any day. <3
