Reliability is not everything. Just sit and drive an RX8 and then an Audi TT, there are huge differences. The feeling, handling and sportivity and simply the quality is much better in the Audi.
And, I also prefer innovative and new high technology in german cars instead of older, backward technology in American or Asian cars also if it's perhaps not as reliable as there.
How about you mister drive RX8 and drive Audi TT yourself? If Audi TT is so good, how did a legendary racer like Johnny Herbert win all competitions with a good ol RX? And he still loves that car.

I just wanted to tell you my and many other's opinion. And I wouldn't have made the comparison between Audi and Mazda if I hadn't done it myself. I'm also owning an Audi A4 and have no problems with it. My cousin now replaces his Mazda 6 with an Audi A3 because he was thrilled by this car at his first test drive and he had many technical problems with his Mazda.
According the technologies, there is no better AWD then Quattro from Audi in the world, there is no better gearbox then the Multitronic
And there are nit many better engines than the one from BMW. Maybe Lexus has invented the Self PArking System, but the one from VW works much better and faster.
And what about the ABS, which was invented by Mercedes and is much more important than a park-assist and today, also every Asian car has ist.
Or what about the Nightwatch System in the CL or S-Class.
So, you see, there are of course Pros and Contras (I agree with the price), but to say german cars are bad is nonsense.
That's pretty laughable, mister, because AWD is not even a good way to go as a sports car. That's why people prefer FR. And Mazda RX-8's engine has got many awards, but Audi engine? No one cares.

Had the car, not the 65 amg but the cl 500 (it has also 388 PS) for 5 days, because my father works at mercedes in germany. This is the greatest car I had ever sit in... I couldnt drive it because im just 16, but its so great even to sit in it! (Got some pictures if somebody want some, just write me your e-mail adress)
Now this is the problem with the luxury cars. They are just so expensive, and yet, so unreliable, driving a luxury European car is like taking care of a woman.
Because cars like Mercedes, BMW and all those are just fake sports cars, they are just diamonds with wheels. But people tend to think they are the best just because they are more expensive than the Japanese cars.
And yet, Lexus dominates the reliability category when Merc is on the bottom. People need to wake up and see the truth

But you should take a look at the prices.
A new m6 is €106.000
A new cl65 amg is €300.000
A new m6 hurricane is €360.000
So it's redicilous to compare the cl65amg with the m6.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there are 100 examples of the CL65 AMG that has the special silver paint which have the smallest partical size in the world, resulting in the cars looking like they have been plated with Chromium.

Why waste your time on dreaming impossibility when you can reach out and have better cars like Honda S2000 or Mazda RX-8.
The luxury European cars are not even reliable in the first place. Especially Mercedes-Benz.

Reliability is not everything. Just sit and drive an RX8 and then an Audi TT, there are huge differences. The feeling, handling and sportivity and simply the quality is much better in the Audi.

How about you mister drive RX8 and drive Audi TT yourself? If Audi TT is so good, how did a legendary racer like Johnny Herbert win all competitions with a good ol RX? And he still loves that car.
Feeling? Handling? You consider some overpriced unreliable junk to have good handling and feeling.
And reliability is not everything? I have gone through RELIABILITY issue with BMW 3 series E46 one time, so I know. But you obviously don't, so you can say that.

That comment itself says it all. New high technology? What new high technology? Why is Audi trying to copycat Lexus LS' self parking system? How come BMW 7 series never gets praised as a good luxury sedan when Merc S and Lexus LS do? AWD system + FR system = iAWD, and it came from INFINITI. Name me a German car with such system. Name me a German or Euro car that can outbest SH-AWD system that Honda/Acura has. Oh wait.. BMW can't even make a good AWD car, what am I even thinking!

I just wanted to tell you my and many other's opinion. And I wouldn't have made the comparison between Audi and Mazda if I hadn't done it myself. I'm also owning an Audi A4 and have no problems with it. My cousin now replaces his Mazda 6 with an Audi A3 because he was thrilled by this car at his first test drive and he had many technical problems with his Mazda.
According the technologies, there is no better AWD then Quattro from Audi in the world, there is no better gearbox then the Multitronic

And there are nit many better engines than the one from BMW. Maybe Lexus has invented the Self PArking System, but the one from VW works much better and faster.
And what about the ABS, which was invented by Mercedes and is much more important than a park-assist and today, also every Asian car has ist.
Or what about the Nightwatch System in the CL or S-Class.
So, you see, there are of course Pros and Contras (I agree with the price), but to say german cars are bad is nonsense.

That's pretty laughable, mister, because AWD is not even a good way to go as a sports car. That's why people prefer FR. And Mazda RX-8's engine has got many awards, but Audi engine? No one cares.
But I don't blame you. People just buy Audi just because it's German and people just tend to think it's expensive so it has gotta be good. Anyone with less car knowledge are likely to buy German cars. Well, it all eventually comes down to biased opinions.

I would not say the German cars are bad, they are surely good to look at. But other than that, I don't see the point of paying so much money for those unreliable junk. I don't wanna drive a diamond with wheels.
Let Volkswagen copy Toyota. They will never become the biggest seller like Toyota anyway.
And to be honest, I don't really need a self parking system. I care more on reliability, so basically the Euro cars never get into my brain for shopping.

And what is better than a GT-R? R8, CL, Carrera GT, BMW 6...

OMG, it's like talking to a little, arrogant child from kindergarten. Tell me why foreign statistics are better than German ones, because foreign ones prefer their own manufacturers? And yes, I know what a GT-R is, an ugly Japanese toy car. The design of a CL e.g. is a dream against that. Running from 0-100 in 4s is not everything, it's the combination of design, technology, quality and power.
That was my last statement, say what you like everyone can make his own decission.

And of course, you do know that the America's Consumer Reports is not even biased, right? And yet, the Japanese cars mainly get the best ratings all the time. Lexus LS beats Merc S. Need I say more, sir?

And in fact, Toyota did a little research before, and about like 50 - 70% of the Lexus buyers used to buy Merc or BMW.
Only those stupid Hollywood celebrities who try to look fancy drive Euro cars, the real smart people in the US drive Lexus =)
After all, isn't that why BMW and Merc still can't beat Lexus on the U.S. sales? ;)(And it's been going on for YEARS)

And just to let you know, I used to have 99 BMW 3 series E46 which is known as the most reliable BMW of all time, and problem is, the car gave me nothing but troubles. Wipers don't work properly in snow time, car is heavy as truck, water pump died and car shut itself down, heater was utter junk.

Check the Consumer reports 2008-2009? I thought finally Mercedes' reliability went up, but it was all the SAME. The only most reliable Mercedes car was S class...which was WORSE THAN AVERAGE. Other Mercs? THE WORST reliability ratings so far. Couldn't even beat Ford xD!
Lexus LS's reliability went down a little, but still BETTER THAN AVERAGE.

Is that why Mercedes' reliability rating's best is still "Worse than average"? If so, then I guess this "not many manufacturers" gotta be Ford, GM, Tata, Toyota, Honda, and the list goes on.

awesome! saw one with an aero-kit from wald international in marbella a few weeks ago. looked awesome. But how is it possible to get an AMG with a wald aero-kit, 'cause I've always thougt you buy one either from AMG or from WALD.
Btw: is the only difference between a CL63 and CL65 the better engine? Because if yes I would probably go for the CL63. (wouldn't pay more than 100k just for 4 cylinders :)

Had the car, not the 65 amg but the cl 500 (it has also 388 PS) for 5 days, because my father works at mercedes in germany. This is the greatest car I had ever sit in... I couldnt drive it because im just 16, but its so great even to sit in it! (Got some pictures if somebody want some, just write me your e-mail adress)

Now this is the problem with the luxury cars. They are just so expensive, and yet, so unreliable, driving a luxury European car is like taking care of a woman.
Because cars like Mercedes, BMW and all those are just fake sports cars, they are just diamonds with wheels. But people tend to think they are the best just because they are more expensive than the Japanese cars.
And yet, Lexus dominates the reliability category when Merc is on the bottom. People need to wake up and see the truth

they are better than japanese cars because they are faster, hotter, have better quality built and far more detail and have a personality. Japanese cars are typically cheap and ugly looking copies of european cars that don't challenge you as a driver.

finally the only reason lexus is reliable is because all their cars are low performances overpriced camrys. Obviously pathetic 2.5 or 3.5 L engines with low tuning won't have many reliability issues compared to high performance, high tuned 5.5 V8s, 5.0 V10s and 4.2 V8s... look at critiques from the world's most acclaimed car magazines or tv shows and see what they say about lexus and then compare that to the reviews bmw, audi and mercedes get...
