I first watched these videos when you uploaded it. But I still watch them every now and then. You are giving much info without it being boring, humor and stuff. All the reviews are unique, you know what you are talking about. I have the stereo but want the mono too. Which cd's do you listen to more often? Mono or stereo? Another in dept comparison would be great, a big long video with much info, comparisons, talking, humor and playing from you. Thnx for taking the time to make these videos!
theseanzer: haven't heard from apple yet. i think it's not a problem if it's considered "fair use," which means that it's only up for a few seconds and it's used in an "educational" context.
I was wondering why the White Album was much longer than the others. Having about 17 tracks on disc 1 and about 13 on disc 2. I was wondering why they decided to make the White Album so long. By the way I dont know why I asked this question on the Help! review.
@Jon52096 When The Beatles got back from India, they had too many songs written for one album. George Martin tried to get them to compress it into one album, but The Beatles refused. So it was released as a double LP.
I bet you noticed, but maybe you didn't so I'll point it out. It's modeled after the intermission in the movie 'Help!' Pretty interesting. You didn't exactly spell it out, so, I thought I would for those who didn't know.
I don't know notice the difference in the sound quality. The new ones are just a little bit louder. Disappointed because I was expecting the same kind of improvement I heard on Love and Yellow Submarine Songtrack
Best one yet. You own as many copies of Help as I own of I Robot. Oh wait, I think I have 7!
Best review yet. Love the "betarded" history of the release. Next time any of you guys give us shit about our encyclopedic knowledge of all things Project, I'll remind everybody of this video.
When you get around to reviewing Abbey Road, don't forget to comment/review on the placement of "Her Majesty".
Great review, and nice editing! I was laughing at the camera angles you used, and Francesca is adorable! I'm glad you're letting her listen to all this great music :)
Hey John, Been enjoying your videos. Checked out your website too. GREAT music you're recording! I found you on myspace and sent you a request to add you as a friend.. Your little daughter is so cute. And ALREADY she's a Beatles fan!! You're raising her well...Take care!
LOVE this album. How do you feel about the songs not being remastered to where you hear all the sounds through both speakers? That's MY main beef with the new CDs. Otherwise, they're good. Great vid, and kudos for being a stay-at-home dad!
I recently listened to this entire album in my car. What a great album. Every song was good!

The best version of the song "Help!" is the 1993 Ron Furmanek remix with centered drums and vocals split wide.

are these the 87 stereo mixes or the 65 stereo mixes?
frankmakak 1 year ago
@frankmakak the stereo remasters are from the 87 mixes; the mono discs of "help" and "rubber soul" also contain the 65 stereo mixes.
johnmontagnamusic 1 year ago
@johnmontagnamusic Yeah, I bought the mono box when it came out, that's why I wondered because I never got to hear the stereo box. Thanks!

There is also the original 1965 stereo mix which is only available on the mono box set. This is my preferred version of Help!
