There's been a few fires in my area in the past couple years and the burned out houses are just sitting there, not getting fixed up at all, and a couple arson attacked houses have been torned down. Do the damaged houses just sit there until the city gets around to knocking it down or what?

@BeatsByWeight It's called "Protecting Exposures". Theyre spraying the sides of their house with water to cool it down from the radial heat from the fire close by. It's actually a very good idea to do this, especially in neighborhoods where houses are built close together. If the fire is burning hot enough, the neighboring houses can catch on fire just from the radiated high heat alone. The garden hoses are just being used to drop the temperature of the heat right near their house.

Take note of the resident's racial makeup. In Brampton there is a great mix of nationalities and everyone seems to get along just fine. I've lived here most of my life, and although there is racism here like everywhere else, it's on the down-low and doesn't really affect the way we treat each other in our neighborhoods. Segregation sucks ass.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged after a house in Brampton suffered significant damage in a fire on Sunday night.

Police said they received a call at 7:15 p.m. Sunday when the home near Bovaird Dr. and Hwy. 410 was set ablaze.

Police arrested the teen on Monday and charged him with arson and disregard for human life.

No one was injured in the fire and police have not released the cost of damage.
