To blame the warrior gene for violent behavior is a cop out. There are some genetic predispositions , i.e. musical talent, artistic abilities, etc.. Violent behavior is learned the same way compassion and sharing are learned.

The warrior gene should be more related to an individual be more inclined to risk take. Risk takers in society become soldiers, extreme sports participants and the like.

It is important to not confuse Intermittent Explosive Disorder and rage addiction as a warrior gene.
