Are you kidding me? If anything it is the other way around... Unions are the reason why we have the 40 hour work week and weekends off, and health care benefits, and workplace safety, and job security (relatively). Without unions we would all be working 12 hours a day, 7 days a weeks for meager pay and no benefits at all with the possibility of never coming home... Please do some research before you post such uneducated and uninformed comments...
Francine, the Hyatt is not the govt. The Hyatt has to remain profitable to stay in business. If they do not, they will go bankrupt and there will be no jobs for anyone.
You should be glad they are being responsible and cutting expenses so that they can keep you and others employed.
