Adler is so good because everything he plays is so decievingly technical. But once you actually spend all your time learning his shit, it becomes very easy. i guess thats the same for anything you learn, but i mean some things will always be tricky to some people for some reason. i'v run into that many times. but not for lamb of god drums. idk why. funnest shit to play though. I hate all those fuckers that say his beats are the same. Simliar...yes. Same...never. a real LOG fan knows that.
One of the most interesting things I ever read about adler is that when these guys really first started out...he was actually a guitarist, until they couldn't find a drummer so he just kind of picked it up and here he is now, hahaha....not sure if it's true, but it makes me feel good to think it is lol.
Defiantly the most important part of music is composition ability, not technical ability, especially for drums. It's about what sounds good with the rest of the band. Im sure Chris could do more complex beats, but then it might make everything else sound shitty. He is creative and makes the songs sound awesome, that's what matters. Chris could even program his beats if he wanted to with software like Logic Pro. Metallica is super ez drums, but it sounds great for James guitar.
@jmasterX Exactly, the two main reasons I even listen to Lamb of God are Adler and Campbell. Usually you can find multiple bands who's drummers and bassists sound alike. LoG's composition is very good IMO.
really his drumming isnt THAT hard...i mean hes a good drummer no dout but (i dont mean to brag) im only 15 and im able to play every log song flawlessly....no joke
i'm 15 too... and i can play almost all thair songs from top to bottom with almost mistakes.... But Chris Is a GOD cus of one reson: Can You Write This kind of Beats To A Song Without Being Inflewenced By Him????
Chris is by far the greatest drummer ever, dont get me wrong there is plenty of good drummers, and all have different styles, like tech or speed, but Chris has it all. Awesome Drummer!
adler's beats dont sound too hard to play until you try them yourself... i think thats what gives his drumming such power...he makes the most difficult shit sound so smooth and simple... he is a truly a master of his craft
agreed very hard shit to play iv played solos from alot of other metal drummers befor, but when i tried to play the opening fill from shoulder og your god, could not even come close to doing it
No I think he's right, the mics on Chris' kit probably just picked up the guitar that was being recorded/played along a little too loud or something, It IS really tough to hear though so I may be mistaken as well.
in australia we dont get the studio experience CD with our album and there is no way i know of getting it, would you be able to give it to me somehow?
Yea you put it in your computer. If nothing pops up then just look for the D drive on your computer. That's where the files are once the cd's in your computer

Chris is a very very good drum player... But I think is not THE best... You have to know Thomas Haake from meshuggah... A machine...
madococo 2 years ago
No machine can play like Tomas. Except for drums from hell. Catch Thirtythree was made with that.
Trommeslagter 2 years ago
matt greiner might be a little better than chris, imo.

Jordan7123 2 years ago
The deluxe edition of the album comes with all instrument versions for every song, so drums, vocals, bass and guitar for every song
liltwixis11 2 years ago

fat beat
po0pzmcgee 3 years ago
yeah adler is amazing but this song is very easy to play. definitely the easiest on the album for sure.
basementlegends 3 years ago
I dont think it man probably the passing , theres some parts in the song to dificult to join
apocalipticpoison 2 years ago
well the passing doesnt really count its like a 2 minute soft instrumental. adler wasnt trying to be very creative on that one im sure
basementlegends 2 years ago
in that picture are there no pedals on his kit
jordison215 3 years ago
theres a kick on the right bass drum nut not the left
basementlegends 3 years ago
