b4, one of my friends went to learn with Rhythm ATtack, training with drunk, monkey j, all that shit. they are good.
then, he got an offer from bboy king (TIP) to join tip jr (VIP crew) becuz he's close friends wit king. apparently, all of tip hated on him becuz his movement was wrong, taught from rhythm attack. wrong as in outright wrong.
when he looked at ur style, he said ur wrong too. it's the tiny differences in toprock that make a considerable difference.
look at it this way, i too understand the differences in toprock like how we need to be on the balls of our feet and lightfooted etc, but i also emphasize to my students that they need to know all these, and play around with it to make it their own style.
knowing all that and delibrately doing it another way, is alright.
not knowing all that, and thinking its cool and "the right way" to do it, isn't alright.
like how monkey J's toprock is different too. or how drunk's toprock was differnt too.
rhythm attack's cool. battled them at floorskillz 2007 and we had a draw.
how about this, if u're in singapore, maybe we can hang out, or you could come on down to one of our dance people classes, try out / observe my classes, and then maybe evaluate my credentials again after that ;)

note that in "wrong", he means that ur toprock looks weird on camera. he said it should look great live, but cameras does wack shit to bboying.
