The main problem was that:

1) Capcom limited themselves to one character per game.

2) Like you said Phoenix Wright was considered, but they couldn't use him because his special move (where he shouts "Objection") was broken because the word "Objection" is too long (though it works in Japanese since it is only 3 characters)

Although Dante woulda been a good idea.

I don't know. I think it's kind of hard to say which franchise will go in the other. It's just kind of hard to see someone like Mario go in another game that's away from his own. I know there's more than just Mario and there has been an instance where a Nintendo character has gone in another franchise series (Link in Soul Caliber). That's the only one to my knowledge as of now. If there's been another instance like that, then tell me I'm blind and outdated. But I do agree. Both series are great!

Not to add insult to injury Sonicisbadazz, but the Tatsunoko heroes helped inspire the "Power Ranger-esque" super heroes of japan. Most notably Gatchaman (BOTP, Gforce...and such) and Yattaman. Those heroes especially for the outragious costumed villians and heroes, like Ace or june with their winged costumes.

This game is excellent, the only thing it needs is to have M.Bison (thats Vega for Japan guys) In his Snk vs Capcom 2 form, with updated moves. While I used him in Marvel vs Capcom 2, he just lacked the speed and moves to be one of the really good characters.

Call me crazy but I think hyper combos and aerial combat are two of the greatest things to ever happen to fighting games! They're so STYLISH! But hey, what else would you expect from Capcom? You can easily emulate on PC.... Doesn't even need high requirements. An average video card with a high processor at least 2.5ghz core duo and at least 2gb ram then you can emulate it at a playable framerate.
