it was only a few days back i learnt of his recent death...and i was am am still in shock..i'm apalled as well that the sad demise of this truly gifted, rarely matched, inspirational and influential musician did not get the media coverage he deserves...i'm a newseditor and i don't recall a mention in any of the leading news media...i'm sure his fellow countrymen did....his death is an immeasurable loss for music as a whole.

We were fortunate to have him as one of our honoured Patrons of Surdhwani. He will be sorely missed.

But I know that the Emperor lives on through his eternal and divine music.
