Anyway, I'm looking forward to making this, because I'm married to a Mexican, too. (P.S. I tried to post the website, but for some reason I just keep getting an error message)

  • loved the recipe for the conchas, and letting ppl know about the unofficial rule regarding pregnacy questions. here's my story:

  • Thank you for your wonderful videos, especially this one for conchas. You remind me of a very young Diane Keaton - especially your feminine but strong voice, your graceful, slender arms and the way you stopped in the middle of this video to share a "sudden" etiquette lesson, tinged with a blip of nervous laughter. You might want to watch the movie “Annie Hall.” I think you’ll see what I mean. You are a delight! Thank you for sharing your talent, your wit and your mien!

  • Can you post the ingredients please??? It would be nice to have a list of the ingredients....and as far as I know you can add food coloring to the sweet. You do a good job and I am proud that you make some Mexican food :D

  • @tonyparati its just for decoration they sell big forks too! lol

  • Looks delicious!!

  • I like your recipe very much.

I would appreciate if all ingredients were shown or listed prior to putting them in the mixer. It sure would make it easier for us "novices" to give it a try.

It is hard to follow you while you talk about other subjects non related to the recipe.

    Oh well, just a comment.

Come on get over it! ... someone call you fat... do not let it bother you...

    Thanks

  • really nice! I love them :D

  • i love pan dulce thats why i looked it up and thats kinda racist with married to a mexican

  • ey thank you for your recipes, my housband just told me he wants to marie you .......... :D

  • hank you so much I made this for some friends and they thought I was an amazing cook lol When I was little I always remember getting so exited when my dad would bring home pan dulce from the panderia. My brothers and sisters and I would fight over which color topping we wanted.. I now can go back to my childhood and also make this for my family to keep in our culture and traditions. Better then the panderia actually. Gracias :)

  • hi, I did this recipe but

my conchas came out heavy and hard.

i really liked the flavor& the topping wass so easy thanx alot;)

pls help me to make my conchas more soft & light

  • 0006 minutes Sunday, March 28, 2010 WOW!!!!! Those Lovely Conchas 08:54 Look Tremendously Better and More Tasty than the ones we buy at the local Panaderías here in Acueducto de Guadalupe (( Mexico City )). They reminded me of the Beautiful Conchas they prepare in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Nice Video. By the way, Conchas are also known as "Camelias" —but this is something that you already know. ¡¡¡¡¡Viva el Pancito de Dulce!!!!!

  • thanks for putting this video together, and I hate how rude some people can be on here! I am curious to try out a recepie for conchas and this will help me out allot!!

  • Not sure I have the confidence to make these. You make it look easy, but I know better!

  • WHAT THE FUCK??? THAT KITCHEN IS HAUNTED!!!! oh and the editing is horrible and is she pregnant???

  • excellent job

  • not to bad for a whit lady

  • so you are not pregnant ?

  • Que Bien te felicito =D , creo k a ti te salen mejor k a otros k he visto k intentan hacerlas y eso k son mexicanos jajaj

  • so how much warm water?

  • 0how do you make a chocolate flavoring

  • @Lildrummer02 for chocolate Conchas all you have to do is use Cocoa Powder instead of flour... For example, if the recipie says 4 cups of flour, for chocolate flavored you could use 2 cups of Flour and 2 Cups of Cocoa powder, if you want less chocolate flavor then you'd use 3 cups of Flour and 1 cup of Cocoa Powder.

  • I loved those Conchas!

  • mines didnt rised at all why???? I really wanna make these but in the video you dont specified how long to mix it in the kitchen aid or what speed??

  • @caliprincess510 for doughs you always have to use speed 2 and you have to mix for about 10-15 mins....the more you practice the more you'll learn to see if the dough is ready or weather it needs more flour or more water.

  • Sexy

  • Sexy

  • I failed... The dough didn't rise..

  • You didn't put sugar on the recipe! AND I DIDN'T EVEN ADD IT >:| On the dough...

  • I made this tonight, over all they tasted pretty good. But my dough didn't rise much and came out quite dense... any tips on how I can improve that?

  • @lataiwanesa I'm not an expert , as once I tried making these and they didn't come out good , but from what I understand the dough not rising enough usually means either bad yeast or bad kneading , with bad kneading being the problem most of the time. Getting the consistency of the dough right is key to the dough rising properly, as well as covering it and letting it rise in a warm place. Hope that helps some , I'm going to try and make them again one of this days.

    Thanks!

    I love your videos :)

  • You're not the first to ask about things in the kitchen. I will address this in the next video. I love your blog!

    Tina

  • Thanks for touching on the subject of the "not to ask question", I was once asked that too, and I said I was when I really wasn't. I was at the store and the person was a stranger.......so who cares. As for you my dear friend, you are gorgeous and the person who asked that needed glasses.......like terribly needed glasses. You are a beautiful woman! I personally love your style. Modern mom yet classy.

  • It's good to know I'm not the only one that gets asked this. Thanks for the self esteem boost. As moms we can always use a little boost, not sure if I agree with everything you said, but still it was very kind of you.
