"John Paul II was one of those few who gave me many reasons to think again"

  • Blessed JP II, awesome Pope.

Ave Crux ! Ave Maria !

  • This is amazing. I was looking for a video of John Paul II and was expecting alot of bad comments on the him. But this is very refreshing to see.

  • Although I am a Muslim, I lked him very much. He was a true man of God.

  • @kenannpasha One of the most beautifull comments. Have a nice day.

  • @kenannpasha Thanks Brother, as a Catholic I really appreciate that. May the all merciful benevolent God Allah, Bless you.

  • I was there. Sanctus subutos.

  • Wonderful. Thank you, John Paul.

  • "elder brother" here... and while I don't speak for all Jews I do speak for sincerity which is of real value to me. And this man, and his Spirit, I recognize to be of immense value to God and humanity. Thank you, God, for my life, and for such reminders of your Love for us.

  • Great time for the church and for the world! Great popes for 20th & 21st century!!!

  • "As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live".

    Blessed John Paul II

  • "The Jewish religion is not extrinsic to us but in a certain way intrinsic to our own religion. With Judaism, therefore, we have a relationship which we do not have with any other religion. You are our dearly beloved brothers, and, in a certain way, it can be said that you are our elder brothers."

    Blessed John Paul II

  • "Faced with today's problems and disappointments, many people will try to escape from their responsibility. Escape in selfishness, escape in sexual pleasure, escape in drugs, escape in violence, escape in indifference and cynical attitudes. I propose to you the option of love, which is the opposite of escape."

    Blessed John Paul II

  • Amen!

  • Greatest Pope of all time period!

  • I'm an atheist, and I had great respect for John Paul II! I spoke with him for an hour three weeks before his death and it was an experience I'll cherish for a long time. He seriously respected and loved people! I have no good comments for the current pope.

  • Oh my goodness. I'm tearing up. Whenever I look at him, I feel so at ease. He's such a amazing person.

God bless you, John Paul II. Thank you for improving our lives...sharing the faith, love, and word of Jesus Christ.

  • If JP II met the 3 people who disliked this video, he would love them too.

  • Greatest Pope of all time!

  • POPE JOHN REMAINS TO DATE THE MOST INFLUENTIAL CATHOLIC CHURCH MAN OF ALL TIMES CATHOLIC PRIESTS,BISHOP AND CARDINALS SHOULD EMULATE HIM AND LIVE ACCORDING TO THE TEACHINGS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST...

  • Please pray to John Paul ....

  • I love you, Pope John Paul II! Pray for us sinners.

  • This extraordinary man whom I dearly love impressed even the atheists. The last years of his life were very painful and a true agony but he carried on, relentlessly, despite the bullet, despite all the illness and conditions he would still walk, and raise his head to smile or to give a hug however he could. That made millions of people reconsider themselves and take an example on him. I was one of them. If you are not moved by this man, you are not human.

  • haaaaahahahaha:

    JP2:"Dear students"

    students:" YEAAAAAH"

    JP2:"I love you too"

    Students:"YEAAAAAH"

    JP2:"perhaps I love you more"

    students:"YEAAAAAAH" ^_^

AMAZING MAN, AMAZING CHRISTIAN, AMAZING POPE, AMAZING FATHER, BROTHER, SERVANT, AMAZING SAINT...

  • true man of God!!! He is the essence of Christianity!! ^_^

  • I'm not Catholic, but if ever there was a Catholic, John Paul certainly was one and I respect him tremendously.

  • why Christians call him Pope ? I do not understand Christianity

  • What a wonderful person of God. I wish I could've met him. Well at least I can meet him in heaven =) He may be in heaven, but he's still in our hearts. We love you Pope John Paul II!!!

  • People of all races and religions honoured this man. That is what, I think, makes his legacy outside of the Christian world. His ability to transcend religious boundaries for the vision of peace. God bless his soul, may he rest in peace.

    P.S. I am a Muslim.

  • he was a so beatiful person its unbelievable

  • I'm a Jew and this guy woke up so much love in me. Thanks John Paul!

  • thank you for the video. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • 2:10 how cute

  • I'm in tears right now.....I cannot explain how much I love Pope John Paul II.....He is so amazing words just can't describe it. He has touched many people of all religions across the world. I miss him so much. I am Orthodox Christian and I truley love Pope JP2 He is a blessed saint, a gift from God.....

  • love you john paul 2

  • I am Polish as well as John Paul II. I think that people all over the world should study his philosophy of personalism.

  • I go to a Baptist church and I remember a special service being held in honor of Pope John Paul II after his death. The man had a great positive influence on Christians everywhere. He was a gift from God to our dying world.

  • God of Abraham children will bless him. :)

  • i liked him very much

  • I didn't have a religion bu tthis man touched me profoundly; I am now catholic (and will forever remain that way).

  • @MikkkkyB Wow what a story!! =D

  • Oh man! Great document! Thanks for uploading! This will remain amongst us for ever how he adressed people...

    He was a hurricane!!!!!

I loved him as a father.

  • i miss him

  • good pope :)

  • The Story is same.I dont have religion but i think this man was the one of the greatest man.

  • Go.

  • I have no religion and see the statements and rules of the catholic church as just medieval, insane and unreal to the mankind.

But, in fact, this was great man. No doubt.

  • He's going to be beatified next April!!!

  • What is amazing about JPII is the love that emanates from this man. One needs to be reminded of his life and the conditions he lived under. He lost his family by the time he was 20. He lived in a Poland that was on the receiving end of the two greatest evils the world has ever known.....German Nazism and Soviet Communism. Poland lost 6 million of it's citizens during the war. During the next 45 years he and his fellow Poles lived under communist oppression & persecution. JPII is an inspiration.

  • We will pray for you. May the Lord have mercy on your soul.

  • @29bairdr "Perhaps I love you more!" I so loved this wonderful man. He passed by me in 1979 when he was in Chicago and I swear to you (even though I was only nine) I felt a warmth that has never gone away from that moment. Do you know of any site that may have his last visit to Poland..where he says in Polish "We are saying goodbye.."? I saw this once and literally collapsed..it was so sad. But he is still right here with us. Thank you for this site! -Chris-
  • He never will be forgotten! He is saint!

  • i miss him dearly but i like our new pope

  • I love God !

  • There would never be another pope like you.You really moved the whole world.I love you.

  • Thank you for all u done Your Holiness I'm just sorry we asked too much of you and in return you never complained

  • Amen.

  • loved by all mankind a true saint

  • we do miss you truly as holy man for all peoples

  • I am a devout Catholic who believes in the Blessed Mother and all the Saints and Martyrs that are in heaven with Jesus Christ. But I do not follow the doctrine of the Anti Christ! This anti pope is the anti christ make no mistake. Helped Usher in the Second Vatican Council which destroyed the catholic mass replacing it with a false mass. The scripture reveals this, go to mostholyfamilymonasterycom and let it be a warning to you that you shall perish in eternal fire if ignored

  • I love the Latin mass almost more than the New mass but to say that the Novus Ordo mass is invalid is heresy.

  • This man restored my faith in the Church

  • i don't really believe in god but i admire this guy's kindness. he's the best.

  • My Father isnt Catholic... he was never baptised. He even says there is something about him...his very presence is holy

  • I am a secular Jew. And I loved this man. I believe in neither Heaven nor Hell, but I feel that perhaps the former should be created especially for his spirit.

  • Its very nice to see your comments. I don't agree with all Israeli policies but its I am always welcome to compromise.

  • look at him. I love him, we all love him, but why? Because Christ's love shone forth from him so brightly. We love and were drawn to him so because we saw Christ in him, and we are naturally attracted to Christ's love and Christ's light. That is what made this man great, not all his accomplishments or wisdom, or fame or any of the incredible things he did, those were just icing on the cake, what made him great was how he let Christ shine through him so, He is still with us, Pope JP2, pray for us

  • Very, very true. I like the way you said that.

  • @HankWillythethird :Shalom Hank, this is a very true, comprehensive, and accurate picture of John Paul II.We are working towards sharing some Christian music and events at the Facebook esanctuary group. How would you feel about us using this comment of yours with respect to John Paul II on our site?JP2 encourages us to follow Christ, and has given us a lead in showing respect for people of other religions. Both my parents were Christians. Thanks for your understanding, grace to you,Patrick.

  • this guy had that special something that we all immediately know is love and to which we are so deeply, and instantly, attracted. Thank you, God, for letting us spend some time with him.

  • Thank you for this post.I cried like a baby! I love him forever and miss him more than ever. Sorry, but he new pope is nothing near him. JP2 will always be my Holy Father. He should be canonized a saint.

  • I agree, he should be a saint.

  • what is gonna happen on judgment day who knows. we have to wait if what the bible and quran talk about is real.

  • ladies and gentlemen a truly great man probably one of the most infuential Popes.. he faught for peace and unity in the world helped put an end to communism and tried to create a common good between all religions... VIVA IL PAPA!!!

  • Pope JPII is hella awesome, he was amazing and spoke great english. An amazing man, his memory will always remain in our hearts. Peace and Love Your Holiness!

  • I cannot think of any more extraordinary man in the history of mankind. As a youngster I missed part of his life, and as his years were finishing I started to see him on tv and discovered his intelligence, his insight into the human being. I was deeply touched by his courage and his struggles against his very precarious health, his spiritual force to carry on until his last minute. His so healthy advices as to how to live, should not be forgotten.

  • I am really proud to be Polish because of this man! I know almost everything about his Life, He gets big influence to my life and also my Wordview, he makes my belief stronger. He had been given an good example! He was the man of the truth, He was not affraid to condemn bad things like communism, terrorism, injustice, dictatorships around the world, He did forgive Ali Agca and the most important thing - he proved by his life that sufferance makes sense, as Jesus had teached.

Allah keep you, gentle one. Allah keep you.

  • Amen.

  • 29baird, please don't take this the wrong way in that you posted this video and it is awesome. "Even though JP reached out to people of other faiths, I would hate to think that we are giving them the idea that all religions reach the same goal. They don't. They may in some ways be a stepping stone, but Jesus Christ did say, "I am the way the truth and the light, nobody comes to the Father but by me and JP knew that. God bless

  • Well yes, but Christianity and Islam are actually very similar. The goal of both religions is to achieve salvation. They both (along with Judaism) believe in the same God (God of Abraham). And Muslims do accept Christ. They believe he was a prophet, just not the son of God. Thats why JP was so good with reaching out to them.

    God bless you JP2!

  • Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. You are quite correct about JPII, he was excellent at reaching people with the messsage of salvation.
