While finding a cause is a worthwhile goal, I believe that finding and effective treatment or cure, relieving suffering and improving the quality of life of those who suffer from MS ought to be the primary goal. Isn't that what physicians are sworn to do?

If someone is in a wheelchair one day and walking soon afterwards, Placebo? In other words thousands upon thousands of MS patients have been faking symptoms for years! This is an insult to those suffering from MS!

We already know that many MSers do not have CCSVI, we also already know many non-MSers have CCSVI. CCSVI is not a cure, it is a piece of a complex puzzle.
CCSVI is more than stenosis, it is blockages from lesions (clots) in the veins and valves that do not work. They are ignoring the big picture and publishing faulty and limited data.
It's not about the narrowings. It is about flow. Only doppler ultrasound and catheter venography can show CCSVI. Come to CCSVI in MS on Facebook to learn more.
@AnOm75 You are correct. MS has heredity links. In 33% of identical twins, both twins have the disease, while in the general population (in Canada anyway) it is about 0.25%. CCSVI has been identified as largely congenital venous anomalies, and if these are genetic, it explains the linkage.
Who knows, maybe CCSVI + something else (perhaps Epstein Barr virus and/or some other pathology) + time = MS

They did poor research. First, they only used MRV which will give roughly 50% CCSVI in MS patients. Same result as in Buffalo.
Second, the control persons were family of the patients. Now what if CCSVI is a hereditary disease?
When using multiple techniques the percentage found is much higher.
Roel Beelen, M.D in Belgia used CT + duplex. The result is 97 out of 107 cases of CCSVI in MS patients.
29 patients where treated *and* followed. They all have improvements.
