@dignifiedflirt Umm...Byomkesh Bakshi seems crappy compared to the tv programs that we now have access to(especially from outside India; "serials" on tv in India are infinitely worse). However, if you were born between the late 70s to mid 80s, this was one of the best tv serials of the time.

I think most people still watch it for nostalgic reasons ...personally I now appreciate the fact that most of it was shot on location in actual places rather than on pathetic studio sets..

@ast3rix84 lol....on the contrary today's programs are "crappy" compared to the good old programs of DD back in the 80s and 90s. You mean to say this "uttaran, CID, na aana is des lado shit" are all good serials?? I dont know about you but they make me sick....
