the bloke narrating this ain't too clever. Jan 1st 1992 was actually the third year of the tenth decade, not the 2nd year of the 9th decade. Careful mate or you will blow off your fingers on that abacus.
Great win! I remember watching this as it was live on Match Of The Day, and after full time Denis Law as a pundit looking pretty dumbfounded! Hope this is QPR's season and we go back up where we belong.
Hey mate, hows it going? you like football manager games right? i found this cool one online footy-manager com its very similar to the football manager game. check it out. its pretty cool actually.
it's will be interesting if QPR can build back their strongest team and same also to Leeds United. i hope both team can wake up and get back their true soul.
A big black prostitute got a tattoo of Ashley coles and john terrys faces tattooed on the inside of her thighs ,she says to her punter "if you can guess who they are you can have a free shag" he looks left and right and says "I dont know who them ugly bastards are but the one in the middle with the fat lips and curly hair is didier drogba
Well now Briatore has `gone` lets hope we can have some more days like this OR the semi final game at Anfield in1985,OR beating Chelsea 6-0, OR the after match atmosphere at Nottingham Forest even though we had been relegated 3 games earlier, OR when we beat the Scum at Stamford Bridge in the cup with Micky Robinson scoring from the half way line & rushing back to the Oxford & Cambridge pub in Hammersmith to watch it again on the TV ! ! please please give us something to be proud of again SOON
We've lost much heavier than getting beat by Scousers 4-1 in March 2009 (where we still won the league). We lost 5-0 away to Newcastle in 96. We also lost 5-0 at Chelsea in 99. We won the league both those years as well...
Watched this match live on ITV but this is the first time in the +17 years since. I've heard rumours that the result was due in so small part to one or two of the Manchester United players over-celebrating Ferguson's birthday the previous day. Watching the likes of Bruce and Blackmore sluggishly chasing the shadows of Sinton and Bailey now makes those rumours seem plausible.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I laughed so much much when QPR were relegated, ha can not see them getting back in prem any time soon with managers coming then getting sacked every few months and with a chairman who picks the team! lol
All our best attacking players back off injury, a british manager who appears to know what he's doing with 2 quality new signings, a very successful pre-season campaign, and the same back 4 + keeper who held the best defensive record last season.
The R's finally have the backing they deserve and look set to seriously challenge the Championship this season.
yeah right not yet to be confinsed you will still be in the championship next season and the season after that, not healthy keep changing managers, thats what Newcastle did and look what happened to them! it's alright having money but you need the manager to pick the team not the charman! loser!
what terrible commentary. "Manchester United get their first goal of the afternoon, nine minutes from time. I don't think it's going to be enough." You think?
omg this is 1 of my first and best memories of qpr i was 6 and just got my first telly its the first thing i ever watched on it ,that was the best new years ever
its called having a sporting attitude, and when to recognise when your team of over paid big eds have been played off the park by a lesser team, you ok with that ya big baby? i remember watching match of the day in 94 and norwich city were applauded off the field after stuffing leeds 4-0 at elland rd. . .i rest my case fuck face!
When the mighty Hoops beat Liverpool in the semi final of the Milk (League) cup in 1985 1-0 up in the first leg then 2-2 at Anfield the Kop clapped our players off the field AND they had to watch their team miss out on a Wembley final by scoring 2 own goals ! ! ! I've never had a bad word said against the Scousers to this day ! The radio was still in the car when we got back to it after the game ........ only joking lads LOL
Yeah i notice but so what? How common is it for opposing fans to applaud goals scored against their team. Not common at all. Therefore it's not just Man Utd fans. Also, i have noticed that they do apllaud opposition players at Old trafford, for example Ronaldo when he scored a hat-trick for Real Madrid and Middlesbrough's Juninho in 1997 when he scored a wonder goal there. You are a twat my friend.
Because of this match ive now supported QPR for 17 years, i use to support Leeds, i lived in West London but dont laugh i was 12 then and on the NYE before this game a cousin of myn who was a QPR supporter gave me a lot of jip for supporting a team miles for London.
He said to me if QPR beat Man Utd tomorrow start supporting them, if they fail carry on supporting Leeds, i thank you Dennis Bailey for making me come to my senses alot sooner!!
don't laugh, but i'm 17 and ive only been supporting rangers since 2003. i cringe when i say this but i used to support man utd, well it wasn't really them, it was cos of david beckham cos he was my idol. my dad and brother already supported rangers. when becks left and rangers made the playoff final, i was hooked forever and thank god i'm not part of that band of glory hunting scum that is man utd fans. Plus i totally loved watching liverpool thrash them 4-1, epic victory
Yup, wasn't it just?, I even recorded the thrashing for memories sake. No matter how many Euopean or World titles Man United win, they will never have the dedication from their fanbase like most clubs in the country. Okay, there the odd dedicated fans but most have never stepped foot in Old Trafford.
When you strip away the daytrippers and tourists United have fantastic support. They have had the biggest attendances in England for most of the last 50 years, and many of those years have been far from glorious....when they were in Div 2 in the 70s for instance their average crowd was 54,000. Even when Liverpool were dominating, United beat their crowds. You should research the facts before coming out with cliches and generalisations.
@supahoopsa001 Fuck me, mate. That is my story entirely! Used to favour Man U as a kid despite living in London. Had a brother and dad who supported QPR. Started to develop interest in QPR in the season they lost the Division 2 play-off final (2003?), then got really interested during the play-offs and have supported them ever since.
@DAJAZDJ1 I bloody hope so! That'd be brilliant, plus he'll get regular first team football whereas if he went to a club like Spurs he'd always be a sub.
@supahoopsa001 it's as much to do with how much he can make them money wise through shirt sales etc as much as it is for football reasons they saoid in an interview he wouldn't cost anything in wages cos they would cover his wages and more through the merchandise he would sell so basically they could have beckham and instead of buying him they would make money just having him there
Lets be honest qpr were a good team then, sold out by the board. But it was a great day for us superhoopsa. Stop being so bitter you utd fans, its just the way it was lol.
i was a 17 year old man utd fan when my southern brother in law got two tickets in the QPR section of the ground that fateful day, .but i have to admit it QPR that day were well better than utd. my brother in law still has his copy of utd QPR match on vhs video and cherishes it to this day lol.
loved that day. my man u mate wound me up,"come and watch the game with me, i'll stop laughing when we're 3-0 up" he said! funny,he didnt answer his phone after the match!!!
i stillwear my brookes shirt now. i can still remeber it sat round my girlfriends house massive hangover , couldnt believe what i was seeing. to finish it off she made me toad in the hole. a great start to 92 . dennis bailey we love you.
so we will be back soon playing in the prem. Back where we belong. Then we show you so called big teams what true fans are like. It's not about having grounds full glory hunters it's about having bond with your team win or lose you sing your hart out for the love of your team. Something that's bin lost from the likes of Arsenal,Chelsea & Man U. So come on you RRRRsssssssssss lets show them what it's about.
Excatly, if that hadn't have gone in we wou;ld have had a replay then we would have beaten them, cos if we could have forced a draw at chelsea with 6,000 fans. god knows what we could have done with 15,000 at rangers
I'll give you a word of advice, the QPR end is going to be full so tag along with the chelsea fans but be on a low profile otherwise they'll kill you, especialy if we win, let me rephrase that, especialy when we win.
thanx friend i guess i could call you, i'll take that into account because today i got my tickets to go. i'll be in a big group, but i'm not bothered about the result, we'll probably lose, but if we don't lose that will be a big result. i just want to go and enjoy myself.
In the 70s QPR beat Man U so many times. Including 4-0 at Loftus Road. I think Man U sucks and death to the Red Devils (and Chelscum, ARSEnil, and the lot).

Chelsea away in the cup, when do the tickets go on sale, I'll be at the Bridge. I am in my 40's now and am one of the original QPR casuals.
Anyone else out there?

yeah starting with chelsea away in the fa cup, i so want to go to that desperately.
supahoopsa001 4 years ago
I'll give you a word of advice, the QPR end is going to be full so tag along with the chelsea fans but be on a low profile otherwise they'll kill you, especialy if we win, let me rephrase that, especialy when we win.

thanx friend i guess i could call you, i'll take that into account because today i got my tickets to go. i'll be in a big group, but i'm not bothered about the result, we'll probably lose, but if we don't lose that will be a big result. i just want to go and enjoy myself.

In the 70s QPR beat Man U so many times. Including 4-0 at Loftus Road. I think Man U sucks and death to the Red Devils (and Chelscum, ARSEnil, and the lot).

possibly the worst commentary in the history of football. Brian McClair makes it 1-3.
- 'but is it enough? I dont think it is.'
Go back and check. Theres lots more.
