ngem mayat daytoy sonata patukaren no madama ka mangbulbulibol!

  • the 80s was the last great decade for music. It has been downhill since. This group is proof of that fact

  • @chyman Well spotted! "Forever Blue" was recorded with Jimmy Webb and he contributed "Midnight Cowboy" as a coda.

  • @MrThecarebear cool. thanks, carebear. i LOVE midnight cowboy. especially when sung by johnny mathis. toward the end of "forever blue", i often sing the chorus of "midnight cowboy" in my head (or aloud when alone). LOL

  • i love her voice..

  • cool,cool,cool simply awesome!

  • sweet, nostalgic, musically rich...I cannot stop listening this song...

  • sweet, nostalgic, musically rich...I cannot stop listening this song...

  • perfect!

  • Corine Drewery is to die for.

  • I remember this song when it first came out in 1968. It's a tragedy because it tells the awful, ugly Truth about Love: It is not meant for everyone, only certain people. Never be fooled.

  • @americaneagle2076 Hope this isn't true - but have a sneaking feeling it is :-(

  • @mbds42 I Wish I was wrong, but since 1974, Love True Face has been revealed to me by Love itself.

  • @americaneagle2076 You lost me - is this good or bad?? (sorry am being dense)

  • @mbds42 It's bad because we are told that Love is mant for All and that it is given freely without seeking anything in return. In my experience, Love is not interested in me and all that I find is rejection, Loneliness and Social Isolation and Ostracism....and no one cares. That IS NOT what Fmily, Friends, Church, etc. teaches.

  • @americaneagle2076 Love is interested in you, it is interested in everyone. But I will give you this - circumstances can hamper love, yes they hamper me all the time. I will find out on April 7th if I have been thwarted again. I hope not - but then we really aren't in control of anything. PS the love we are talking about isn't really taught by anyone

  • @mbds42 Perhaps....We shall see what we shall see, but I am not Hopeful as I once was.

  • @americaneagle2076 I'll have to get back to you on this one.....

  • @mbds42 Hey - you can email me at marcus@bone42.plus.com if you like - no pressure - no ulterior motive

  • classy lady..

  • Captivating...sad and beautiful song.

  • São pessoas expecias sua arte se perpetuará pelo tempo ,sempre gostei da banda e continuo gostando .

  • her voice is very pleasing to my ear...love this song so much... can't get over

  • This song is so wonderful. I thank my aunt all the time for introducing me to this album. But simply a beautiful song!

  • I'm listening to this over and over again thinking about my past which lifts up and away in this song and flies by all around the room fluttering out little bummers like moondust sprinkled out on the table

  • I have always loved Swing Out Sister and Corinne Drewery, she is beautiful, classy, fun and intelligent.....just a great performer!!

  • swing out sister. WOW. ROCK HALL OF FAME, LOV THAT GROUP , HDJ

  • Corinne Drewery is so hip and funky! Just gotta love Swing Out Sister....

  • pure quality 10/10

  • this video reminds me of a great film from the 1960s called 'two for the road'.

  • That is a real lady.I adore her.

  • She can stop a war with a voice like this. Beautiful.

  • I love the song forever and ever.

  • Iloooved this song as a child.

  • Her eyes are piercing, she is such a beautiful woman.

  • If you want to relax listen to this band...undoubtedly a class act!

  • what a band. what a voice. what a song. just sheer class

  • The classiest woman in the world, that voice will always go straight to my heart.

  • a lot more of

  • sad, really sad song ! we must pray to not be " forever blue ! "

  • we can feel that our lives cab be " forever blue " if we do not like to pray everyday !

  • so nice!

  • She photographs amazing in B&W....like a 1940s movie star in Hollywood. Few people photograph that well.

  • Love the parallel between what she is thinking about and The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner. Great song and very creative video. Songs and music videos of today just don't compare to the one's from the 80's.

  • La armonica de Toots Thieleman inigualable.

    Excelente tema

  • Every lady past the age of 40 should be required to have there haircut like that.

  • somewhere I have the SOS video colection on VHS this is on it!!! great song

  • Brings back so much fond memories of my young twenties. Thank you SOS, I love u guys.

  • In the style of Burt Bacharach..........produced by Jimmy Webb !!!

  • A very classy act! Corrine has such a great voice that's so soothing to hear. I love this song - full of feelings and emotions and pain and inspiration. Thanks for posting. You have taste.

  • one of my mom's favorite groups. i miss you ma, this song evokes how i feel regarding your loss so much.

  • @groovekartJ

So true...I have most of their cd's... it's telling that they are still extremely popular in Japan...the Japanese have a greater sense of truly great music...so true what you say...both parents deceased, everytime i listen to their songs evokes good warm memories. None of the crap on the airwaves today can match what they produced.

  • @radioham67 i know. good music is still being made by kids out there i think... but the "music industry" isn't what it is 20 years ago. now they're terrified to lose profits so they put megabucks into whatever's clever...

here's to music evoking feelings other than lust and greed.

  • aw aw aw aw aw aw......timeless

  • My top 3 group can sing the whole album word for word , music when the world was good and we loved each other.

  • SWING OUT SISTER WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST GROUP EVER! apart from maybe that song "since i left you" by the avalanches...lol

  • @reacey Absolutely agree. Love Swing Out Sister. Since i left you by avalanches is one of my favourite tracks of all time and the video is in my opinion best vid ever produced because of the story it tells and the quality of the song.

  • 50 or not Corrine rules! Thanks darling for a delicious run! Roman.

  • Love this song.

  • She seems so classy, something we need more of now.

  • @TheMate01 Why does she make me think of Audrey Hepburn?

  • WOW!!! I think Whitney Houston's Clive Davis copied Swing Out Sister's look at the beginning stages of her carrier! Who knew??!! They are FABULOUS!!! I LOVE THEM MORE!

  • SwingOut Sister- "Music with no depth, but limited entertainment value". I can't believe some of these posts- It's Like someone found God after listening to this drivell. MY music would chain-saw through this shit.

Come on, cowards, let me hear your responses..

  • @cadmaster101 , why don't you sit on your chain -saw. Forever Blue has been one of my favorities for years. You probable can't sing!

  • @cadmaster101 Jealous...

  • @cadmaster101 if you dont like the song dont listen to it no one force you to...

    "asshole"

  • @shadowskill011 who ever hates this song or this group has got to be crazy , when i listen to this song it makes you feel like you have died and gone to heaven

  • painful it is.. thinking of one person years back.

  • ❤~Grazie, dolce Rossana!❤Meravigliosa musica!~❤Bellissima immagini~❤Ho amato!~❤ Cumplimenti....10000*****

    ❤~❤~❤~❤~❤

  • It's bangers, beans, and, mash, then from here on out for my soul.

  • for broken hearted people.....and lovers that were separated from their true love

  • Taa-rah Stereodeluxe for the post love SOS specially Corrine

  • Wow. Nice song. I Like it.

  • is the last part a nod to the midnight cowboy theme?

  • @predlycon Wow!!! you nailed it !!!! it sure is, it was originally written by John Barry, funny thing is Jimmy Webb wrote the orchestration at the end of this song which is definitely Midnight Cowboy! This has always confused me because Jimmy wrote Wichita Lineman and up up and away, why would he steal Midnight cowboy???

  • Obviously, Corinne is just stunning in this video, which does a lot to highlight her "model-quality" features and look.

If you haven't caught the recent Acura ZDX commercially playing incessantly on TV nowadays, search for it on YouTube ("ZDX Video: "Exclamation"") and see a model who bears a strking resemblance to Corinne at 1:36-1:42 in this "Forever Blue" music video of over 20 years ago.

  • This song stands on its own, just listening to it, but this video really embeds it in my mind.

Those surreal saturated colors when she's shown driving near the beginning, that haunting harmonica, those wonderfully inexplicable shots of Corinne striking all those artsy modeling poses in that designer strapless fou-fou gown on a cold windswept beach with elegant full length gloves.

And don't forget that marvelously spontaneous moment when she peeks in to see those eels wriggling in the sink!

  • really amazing music video

  • very jazz, very swingeee, very british.... love the music, love SOS...

  • lindo tema ,, muy hermoso ,,, nice tema ,, very prety..

  • Just beautiful! Those strings are just heavenly!

  • S T E R E O D E L U X E W.O.W.

  • que mas queda decir me encanta esta cancion es hermosa , SOSO CHILE LOS QUIEREEE Y MUCHO

  • Finally seeing them in concert in April in ATLANTA!!!! Cannot wait :)

  • Beautiful sound...and thats coming from a working class heavy metal ska punk 'type'

  • Corinne, I apologize for mis-spelling your name.

  • As I look at this video from 1989, Corrine is even more beautiful today. Andy is a very lucky man to be married to her and it's great they have stayed together throughout the years. Keep the music going, hope you tour the US in the near future.

  • Whoa, they're married?!

Wow, I've been a fan of theirs since Breakout and I didn't know that...

Seriously, in an age of Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and other tripe that passes for music here, the fact that SOS is still around making wonderful music is quite refreshing...

And yes, Corinne is still easy on the eyes!! :)

  • @4925matty When did they get married?

  • Great song that evokes nostalgic memories of a very different time & place.

  • @ Norbainator

Hard to believe it has been 20 years since this first came out.

  • class....

  • I really love the 80's song

  • All of the Kaleidescope World orchestrations were arranged by Jimmy Webb (Richard Harris-McCarther Park, 5th Dimension, Glenn Campbell) and 100's more. He often imbeds prior songs into new arrangement- it's his signiture, and yes he wrote the theme to Midnight Cowboy. Corrinne is indeed beautiful, intelligent and she has a phenomenal voice. I heard her live at B B Kings in NY a few years ago and she sounds as good live as on the albums. Who can't love a girl who's Mum saves hedgehogs?

  • Is it not John Barry who composed the theme from Midnight Cowboy? I also saw it in the You Tube. Anyway, I'm really hooked with Corrine D. Forever Swing Out Sister. The '80s is a great period, artist are seemingly creative and inspired, too.

  • ISTILLCAN'T ANYTHING

  • To: Budgesoul: Thank You, thank you and thank you!!!!!!!!!!

You have solved a 30 year mystery for me.

It was the theme to "Midnight Cowboy"

  • Swing out sister took off where Burt Bachrach left off. They've done a totally awesome job.

  • Burt Bachrach hasn't 'left off'. He's still a songwriting-performing god! They'll have to pry his cold dead fingers from the piano before he's considered 'done'.

  • This song give me chills...love it! The ending reminds me of an old instrumental song that played on the radio in the 70's, does anyone know the name?

  • its like the theme to midnight Cowboy dont know the composer or artist i`m afraid. Budge

  • The theme from "Midnight Cowboy" was composed by John Barry, the man responsible for the James Bond theme, among many other movie themes. He's also the one responsible for the theme of the 60's TV series "The Persuaders" which starred Roger Moore and Tony Curtis.

  • It was actually Monty Norman, not John Barry, who composed the James Bond theme. He won a £30,000 libel payout from The Sunday Times in 2001 when they claimed Barry had composed it...

  • I love this band!!! Its so sad that they're not as popular here in America as elsewhere. This band is so overlooked and Corrine is so talented and very very beautiful!!!!! Listening to this band reminds me of when I was younger when my mom use to play them...actually my mom got me into them. :P

  • The fact is Swing Out Sister has a fan based in Asia. They have so many fans. I am one of their fans.

  • @EarsBleedMetal I first heard Breakout here in the Philippines in 1986. It was so great.

  • a comfortable love, that would be Andy and Corinne

  • Love this video and song so much, just gorgeous.

  • this song is so soothing..at the same time very painful!

  • deeply soothing song......

  • I just LOVE deeply this song !!! Gorgeous .I just feel so happy whenever I listen to it .Nice english landscapes, too . J´aime beaucoup cette chanson . Tolles Lied - ich liebe es !

  • Comment removed

  • i do not know why i have to listening this song when im drunk......

  • ...i have the same problem...i think - too many memories...too many forgiven chances...that's the problem...hmm...perhaps - only for me... ;O)

  • One of my all time FAV SOS tunes... I really enjoy the rift at the end and how it keeps repeating.... (just stays in your head all day) !!!

  • This is a beautiful and sad song.I had Kalidescope World, and I would listen to this over and over again...Love the Midnight Cowboy reminiscence at the end...

  • this is a wonderful song sung by a lady with an angels voice superb

  • thiS sonG is so sad in a way, but I LOVE SWING OUT SISTER, I heard CORINNE DREWERY had to stand the shivering cold in the beach scene wearing that gown

  • wow! This song was my favorite song since I was 3 - 4 years old, I always hear this in the radio since the 90's ,,, every time I listen to this song I remember the times when I was still a baby child xD

  • wow.

  • Which were SOS's best songs ? I absolutely love this one (and the video : style, beauty and nostalgia) but the first album was also full of mystery for me (at a time when I was reading novels by Sartre and French cafe society and thinking philosophical thoughts, nothing could have been more beautiful or stylish than SOS): Twilight World, Blue Mood etc. I LOVE Fooled By A Smile. That might be my favourite but I'm not sure. Not trying to show off, just reminiscing.

  • This woman does things to my freaking brain!

  • NOTHING BUTT LOVE 4...

  • Another song I accidentally heard for the first time on the radio, 3 years ago, 16-17 years after it's release. Since then it has become my favourite song and group. However, it is an exception in that most of their best work has been since their heyday of the late 80s. This impressed me so much I even travelled to see the video locations in the Quantocks, Somerset. Couldn't find the rocks though.

  • Love the artistic presentation of this video....

  • Jimmy Webb arranged and conducted the orchestra on this song as well as "Precious Words"

  • Just beautiful and creative

    Thank´s SMFX

    ARHIGO

  • Wonderful melody-line. Great vocals, perfect background!
