hi please advise me of which is the wood element exercise as i have been told that wood element is overpowering my earth element so that i can do more earth and less wood exercise.
its is fine to use some or all of the movements as you wish. the 5 elements (or 5 phases) are always present, but yes there may be a lack of certain elements in the body. for example if you are lacking fire (feeling cold maybe or even depressed) it may be better to do that exercise more than the others. but to be honest any good qigong will help rebalance the whole system.
thanks, for the water element, breathe naturally as you massage the back (kidneys) and step forwards. After you step back into a shoulder width stance relax and breathe in. Breathe out as you raise the hands and make the groaning noise.
Cancel the previous! It makes a big difference when I listen with the sound on...I see that the hands circling are for both liver and spleen elements....Oops.
Very nice looking qigong. Question: If its 5 elements, there should be exercises for the liver, heart, spleen, lungs, and kidneys. I think i see a liver exercise (1) heart exercise (2) and kidney exercise (3) but the last part doesn't seem to correspond to anything in particular....Am I misreading the exercise?
Im just getting around to learning about the 5 elements as a way of seeing how things interact, and i was wondering what the purpose of these exersises are. unblocking pathways perhaps?
hi, glad you like it. primarily the qigong helps to encourage the qi flow and to dissolve blockages in the qi. it also works as a way to enhance the connection between the mind and the body, subduing the busy mind and encouraging a more sublte level of mind and body sensation. enjoy!
i want fire element

This comment has received too many negative votes show
the tai qi is a very complex technique with multiple benefits
wouldn't be better to start with more basic exercise like iron shirt chi kung for structure?
