  • Neil Young was in this band from 1963-1965.

  • Yes, it´s really a great tune and a great band. It is the first time I listen to the band but, despite the shaky sound quality, I had a feeling that it´s really good. Music from the mid60s is fantastic. Listen for example to THE ZETTLERS and the tunes "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". The recordings were made already 1965. Amazingly good with a incredible output and a bloody drive. And for me - they are totally unknown.

  • good old sound, records!

wow makes me feel younger! thanks for playing

  • neil young???

  • They were from Connecticut and this was a regional hit, made Top 5 in Hartford at the time. Long considered one of the top garage songs of all time, along with the flip.

The Lp you mention is worth searching out as well.

  • Great tune... British influence .

  • Hey I used to have a record player like yours!!!

    And love the Squires!!! Thanks!!!

  • is this neil youngs old band?probly not i heard neil young had a band named the squires when before he was big

  • @stewartakaryan No mate...it's not Neil Youngs band.I asked the same question on another version on Youtube.Neils The Squires were formed in Canada, and these (as someone has pointed out) are from Conneticut.

  • My hats off to you for finding a copy of this 45. I lived for many years in the Hartford, CT area, including a few years in The Squires hometown of Bristol, and collected records. Not once did I find a copy of this 45!

  • ever heard of CDs?....just kidding!...too bad there isnt a way to hook that old badboy up to the computer!

  • I have a turn table with a usb hook up that I use to record my records onto a file

  • WOW! Love your antique, tube infused, funky record player. Your song selections are so retro HIP.Thanks for all of your uploads.

  • yeah!!!

  • I collect 45's from the 50's and 60's. I also worked at a second hand vinyl shop. I came across this record when I was going through a bunch of 45's out of a guys collection to buy for the store. I had no idea how hot of a record this was at the time and got it really cheap. I saw one sell for $250 on ebay.

  • I would be interested in watching that if you do post it. This group here is not the same Squires that Neil young was in.

  • Theses guys are great..

I was looking for recordings of Neil Young's first band called "The Squires".

  • where are all their other recordings?
