Look at prices during those years, fluctuated a lot. OPEC and traders make out by manipulating the prices up and down. OPEC has more power than the oil companies by FAR.

The delta's in Canada and Europe are all TAX from those governments.
NOT the oil companies. Taxes for social programs and infrastructure.
Our taxes on gas here avg about 0.50. While taxes in Ca & EU are several dollars.
